Owner description: Take off on a 3 to 4 hour fun-filled balloon adventure, leaving one hour before sunrise. Enjoy a tranquil hour floating above the sights and attractions of the Orlando area. Flights leave from our many locations in the WALT DISNEY WORLD Resort area but we check in every morning at our Orlando Balloon Rides Welcome Center. Once airborne, the pilot will point out the spectacular sights from the theme parks to the orange groves, and forests that have been untouched for thousands of years. Complimentary Champagne Toast after flight.

I bought this for my wife as it was advertised that they go over the amusement parks, etc. Thought it would be real cool to see Disney or Universal from a bird's eye view. Anyway, she just came home and said the ride was shorter than they said it would be, the balloon spent its entire time over wetland, the basket was crowded with 16 people in it, and mosquitos ate them alive, My wife felt she would not ever want to do this again, even with the groupon price we paid. Just "not worth the money".

Hello and thank you for your review of Orlando Balloon Rides here on TripAdvisor. I must say I have quite a few issues with your review.
For one, you didn't take the ride, your wife did. How can you even post on an experience that you didn't actually experience?
We fly in the Disney area and quite often see some of the parks from the air but this is never guaranteed. We NEVER EVER claim that we fly over Disney or Universal. Check our website. Check the Groupon sale wording where you purchased your ticket. It simply does not promise a flight over the parks. Balloons are a part of the wind. We plan our flights with the current and forecast wind direction and that particular flight must have taken us over the natural beauty and scenery of Florida's wetlands, which, incidentally is exactly one of the things we tell our guests we sometimes fly over. Again, check our website and the groupon sale.
With regard to the 16 passengers in the balloon; this is very common around the world. We have a 24 passenger balloon too. We are PROUD to say that you have more space per passenger in our balloons than anyone flying in Florida unless of course you want to pay a lot of money for a private excursion. At least triple what you would have paid for your groupon ticket. You got an AMAZING deal! So please, do not tell me that it's "not worth the money". That's almost insulting.
Thanks again for your posting here and I'm sorry you feel that your experience was poor.

We had a wonderful time... the service was top notch! You could tell from the moment we arrived that the staff was caring and safety was #1. Also... there were other balloon companies around us when we launched and you could tell that this company had the most modern, professional equipment. I think I would have been nervous flying in some of the other baskets... I will definitely recommend!!

This was such a peaceful way to start our day in Orlando. This ride is definitely worth the time to do. It requires a lot of work before and after the ride so make sure to take a change of clothes because you do get dirty but would definitely do it again! Thank you pilot Mike.
