we stayed at BLT the week of Thanks giving. when we got there, we were greeted with a welcome home and a smile. The lobby clerk gave my kids stickers and joked with them. The room is spacious and has all the amenities that you can think off. This is a perfect resort for family with young kids who want to spend most of the time at Magic Kingdom. The walk to Mk only takes 8 minutes. I love the fact that you can watch the fireworks and have some drinks at the top of the lounge. This is defenitely a bonus to this resort. Chef Mickey is wonderful. We took Monorail and bus to other park and resorts also. It did not take long at all. Dinner at Arkershus (Norway) was delicious. My Kids enjoyed all the princesses there. If you plan to make a trip to Disney world, disney's dinning plan is a plus. You can make reservation ahead of time. Most of the restaurants in Epcot are delicious. You can save a lot of money too. Crystal palace is a wonderful place for kids with all the disney's characters. Over all we had a magical stay at BLT. We defenitely come back to this resort.

Room Tip: lake view is wonderful with the show at night.

The room itself Was decent. Spacious enough for our family of 5. Kitchen was well equipped with kitchen utensils. They put on a boat/lake show at night which was really neat. You can also see the fireworks from the bay lake. That is definitely a plus if you have younger children and don't want to be at the magic kingdom late. They also have chef mickeys in the contemporary, which is nice. Btw...you don't need to worry if there are no availabilities when booking your dining reservation at chef mickeys. They will get you in but it could take up to an hour and there are other things to do while waiting. They do have a game room and a couple shops to browse. The major drawback was that everything was at the contemporary hotel.
Granted there is a walking bridge, but inconvenient, especially if it's cold. The restaurants, game room, shops and monorail were at the contemporary. We didn't use the monorail much, except while going to other parks. We just walked to the magic kingdom as we found it was a lo
faster!
The pools were great and the kids enjoyed the water slides!! They do daily activities for them also, which I thought was nice. Our cleaning service did not come and we had to call numerous times. They finally showed up late afternoon. I would recommend ordering food from the grocery store as there is a fridge in the room. Overall, it was decent enough. However, if we decide to go back I think we will definitely stay at the grand Floridian.

Stayed here in November with my daughter and her family. Didn't like that there is no lobby staff....you have to go to the Contemporary to check in. Yes there is a covered walkway but it's still a hike with young children. The room was nice and the bed (I slept on the pullout) was very comfortable. The pool was ok but be forewarned..... there are a lot of bugs in the pool area. The fitness room (also in the Contemp) though small, had just about everything you would need for a good workout. Location is great for the Magic Kingdom...within walking distance. However, the day we went to Epcot it took us close to an hour to get there. With all of the beautiful properties Disney has next time I would stay someplace else.

We are currently staying at BLT as I write this review. We're in a standard 2 BR unit. When we arrived, the first room they put us in had bugs crawling all over one of the bedrooms and bathroom. And I mean MULTIPLE bugs. We called the front desk and they sent pest control up who told us they would advise us moving out of the room so they could treat the room. They were at full capacity that night so we were unable to move until the next day. We were offered NOTHING for what happened--they were basically like "sorry about that" and that was it. The new room we got ended up having a better view and was bigger, but the first night when we turned on the jacuzzi jets, they spewed out all sorts of dirt and grime. It was disgusting. We also found dirty dishes in the cabinets. Overall, this resort disappoints and other than the location, which is convenient, I don't know that we'll stay here again. It's a high DVC point resort and I'm just not sure it's worth it--there are so many other resorts with more character that are cleaner! Oh, and after I complained to the manager the 2nd night we were there, he did comp our in room dining meal, so at least we got something for the trouble we had to go to of moving rooms.

We stayed over Thanksgiving week in a 2 bedroom Magic Kingdom view with our two young children. Everything I wrote in my previous review of this property is still true--I did not notice any significant wear since last year. When we arrived the floors were slick since they had just shampooed the carpet. The bed was still comfortable, the linens were very soft, and the place was clean. I had the opportunity on this trip to go by a few other resorts, such as the Boardwalk over by Epcot. There is a lot more character over there (the "Disney magic" others have referred to) and the location between Epcot and Hollywood Studios is great. There is only so much Magic Kingdom one can take and the crowds there on the weekends are out of control. Epcot is more reasonable so it would be nice to hang out there in the afternoons before walking back to the hotel. On our first visit it was good to be close to the Magic Kingdom, but since this was our second, we should have switched it up. The free dining promotion was great--I would always do a meal plan when visiting Disney in the future. My least favorite thing about this hotel is the pool area. It is pretty small, and shaded by the hotel by early afternoon. Nothing special at all.

Room Tip: MK view rooms are great with young kids--get away from the crowds in the park and watch the fireworks from your room in your jammies
