Our family visited on Good Friday. Entire downtown Disney area was packed - one would never think there was a poor economy in Florida. Waited on line for about 5 minutes and gave order. Waited for empty table for about 15 minutes and then food took another 10 minutes to come out. Ordered kids cheeseburger. portion was very good for a tween. The Fish & Chips tasted delightful and portion size was good for an adult. We would agree that the food at a true Irish Pub would taste different. The iron chairs could feel a little cold when it is colder outside. Since we came from the parking lot side, we did not know there were more table on the other side closer to the ferryboat restaurant. All said and done, we would definitely revisit this restaurant when we return.

Our first night in Disney we went downtown and couldn't get into any of the restaurants. Book early!! We wound up eating here and were pleasantly surprised. The food was decent and the beer was priced well. My husband and I had Sam Adams summer ale, fish and chips, and the cheeseburger. The fish and chips were average, nothing special, but still good. My mother is gluten free and they had gluten free batter for the fish and fried separate from the other fish. Overall, we enjoyed this dinner. Nice and quick, fish and chips ran like $11.

After having the real thing in Ireland last year, I was ready for another go-round. We placed our order for the fish and chips, and had to wait about 10 minutes, which wasn't bad considering how busy they were. The fish was hot and fresh, and the batter was close to the real thing. The price was reasonable and we couldn't finish all the potatoes. The piped-in Irish folk music was a bonus:)

We went to its neighbor restaurant, Raglan Road, without knowing that Cookes offered many of the same foods at a fraction of the cost!

This ended up being one of our favorite meals while at Disney. The food was great (we ordered fish and chips and salads) and the value was good considering the location. They even offer gluten free fish and chips (just like Raglan Road) for only $1 extra and it was delicious!!! The coating was crispy and the fish was fresh. Salads choices were varied and the dressings were homemade (at least the balsamic and ranch were). Seating is first-come, first-serve. Be prepared to wait and watch for people to finish up, which is fine as your food takes a bit of time to come out. We enjoyed the outdoor seating with views of the bustling sidewalk.

We will be back here on our next trip to Disney!

We were actually heading for Raglan Rd but it looked closed (it wasn't, just really dark) so we settled on Cooke's. The Farmhouse Salad with Raspberry Vinaigrette was boring and the salad dressing was flavorless. The kids chicken tender meal wasn't very good either, although the Baked Meringue with Strawberries was very tasty. I asked for water with my meal and was given a dixie-cup sized cup, no ice. This was surprising since we were given large cups of ice water at other locations. The place didn't have much of an atmosphere, seating was at a tiny plastic table and it was probably the worst meal of our week at Disney.
