From the moment you enter the drive to the hotel, you know that this property is special. It is a sprawling property - tennis courts, golf, swimming, several restaurants, a fitness room, a running trail, an 18 floor hotel, bicycle and a private lake - that feels intimate and luxurious. All the public spaces are immaculate and staffed with knowledgeable, friendly Hyatt staff trained to make your stay special. The resort accommodates families, couples, individuals, conference attendees seamlessly so that you never feel crowded or overlooked. A daily resort activity fee, as well as any dining charges are automatically charged to your account, so that you not pulling out your wallet every ten minutes. The lake is staffed with canoes, kayaks, paddle boats, a sunfish, aqua cycles, and hydro bikes. There is even a climbing wall and ping pong table for kids. The huge pool with its waterfalls and swim through cave lends a true resort feeling while a smaller warm pool which attracts younger children is a perfect balance. The food at both Hemingways and the Lakehouse is delicious and well worth the price. Hand rolled sushi was a favorite for this guest. Lunch by the pool is a cost-conscious option and features grass-fed beef burgers, sashimi tuna tacos, a chicken sandwich and childrens' meals as well. Our room was a double queen with garden views. It wasn't crammed with furniture. The decor was clean, simple and updated. The room wasn't large, but we were hardly in it expect to sleep. There was so much to do that we never left the resort. The Hyatt Grand Cypress is a notch above and we will definitely be back.
