Hyatt was smack bang in the centre of all the theme parks!!
The Grounds and Caves were absolutly beautiful!!!
The rooms are spotless and the staff are extremely friendly!!
There are buses that take you to your theme park destination and run from early in the morning to the evening!!

I recently spent a week at the Grand Cypress, my decision to do so was mostly because of the reviews from this site....... I was not disappointed!
Champagne on arrival, the most polite and pleasent staff. The grounds and pools were perfect.
It was my partners birthday so I emailed ahead to see what they suggested and we got a free room upgrade and champagne and chocolate strawberries at the delightful Hemmingways Restaurant.
If i have a slight critisim it would be that Hemmingways and the White horse are pricey....... But it wouldn't put me off going again and the food was excellent.

This resort is top notch. We just stayed there from May 29th to June 2nd. The pool was absolutely gorgeous. I would consider the pool a destination in and of itself. During my stay it was over 100 degrees so we did not feel it was cold. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I played a few rounds of golf and the course I played was well manicured. My wife went horsebackriding and really enjoyed herself. Part of the $13.00 resort fee includes boat rental, mini golf and bike rentals. We enjoyed all of these facilities. The only complaint i have is that the rentals and slides close at 6PM.

Stayed at the Hyatt for our honeymoon and would recommend this hotel to other couples wanting to have a relaxing stay. The rooms were fine, -you would be pleased comfortable and clean and some good little bits to play with (check out the drawer under the mini bar).
The view (they upgraded us from a Lake View to a Pool View) was fantastic and we knew we were in a good place when we overlooked the pool that evening and saw the Epcot fireworks from our balcony. we were greeted by champagne at reception and also in our room. The room service was excellent and they are really on the ball with service. The Cascades breakfast was excellent the first day, the second time was not so good service!. Hemmingways - didnt really like it, felt awkward as soon as we walked in and the fish was ok - but you really have to be a fish lover to enjoy it. The restaurant is situated in a nice place though. The buses to some of the theme parks were good - make sure you use them as you are paying an extra $10 a day (£6) resort fee, (would have been even better to have one to Universal City Walk and Pleasure Island though so you can have alcohol during the day!). This hotel is lovely and is centrally located. Would stay there again and recommend other people to stay there too.

2 minor complaints: Yes the big pool is cold - but you may be grateful for it in middle of the summer!!

Conferences - feel a bit of a plonka walking through reception in your pool clothes!!

Local restaurants nearby that are good are: Bahama Breeze and Olive Garden. Lake Buena Vista is good too.

The hotel advertised three large pools. However we found that 2 of them were joined together through a series of man made grottos to form 2 huge pools. Unfortunately, neither of these pools were heated, their average temperature during our stay was 65-70F too cold to swim in –not just for us but for everybody else and they were both empty all the time, which left the third and much smaller – but heated pool – crammed with people.

Rooms on the Regency Club floor were well decorated. At times the rooms were not made up until about 4pm though. The breakfasts in the Regency Club lounge were not up to standard, consisting of; smoked salmon, boiled egg, onion, tomato, a range of pastries, a couple of types of fruit and a couple of types of cereals. One morning we breakfasted at the Cascades restaurant in the hotel instead, which was much better. In our opinion the Regency Club rooms were not worth the extra money, that we paid for it. Food items provided during the day, were always the same thing; nut selection and cookies and in the evening, a couple of types of Hors D’Ouvres, which should have been better in a 5* hotel.

On the good side, everywhere was clean, staff were fairly friendly and helpful, the gardens in the grounds were absolutely beautiful. The views were fantastic – we could see both the Epcot and the Magic Kingdom fireworks, the hotel is in a quiet area, but is perfectly located for visiting the Disney parks and Universal. We would definitely go back again, but we would not have a Regency Club room as we did not think that they were worth the money.

Wow! This really is a beautiful hotel set within beautiful grounds. The pool is amazing, (if a little cold to start with), which is accommpanied by waterfalls, a water slide and three hot tubs. The location could not be better either - near all the major attractions of Orlando and Disney yet you feel that you are as far away from it all when relaxing by the pool at the hotel.
It is definitely worth asking for a pool view room on a high floor as the views are breathtaking but be sure to request a room which is not next to conference facilities! This is the only reason for rating the Grand Cypress 4 and not 5 - it would not stop myself and my husband returning though!

Just a very beautiful hotel. The lobby is loaded with plants, fountains, and parrots. The pool area is the nicest I have ever seen with a waterfall and lovely landscaping. I agree though with other people that have stayed there. The large pool desperately needs to be heated!!! They have walking/running trails and a large pond with all kinds of birds and fish. The food at Hemmingways is extraordinary!! Expensive but good. The rooms are a bit small as well. The hotel itself is expensive but I loved staying there and plan to again sometime in the future.
