“So Much Fun!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 6, 2014

This is one of the most fun hotels I have ever been to! My mother, fiancee and I stayed for the Disney World Marathon Weekend. I drove from SC and my mom flew from MO. There is a car fee but its just to use parking per day so plan for that in your budget. We were able to easily drive to the race and later to the Magic Kingdom which we went to for a day. This hotel is family and couple friendly. The business area attached, yet slightly separate from the main areas so you can focus and not worry about distractions or loud noises mid meeting. We planned every day for fun days in Orlando, but with this hotel I wish I planned a day there. There is so much to do. There are two pools. One extended and tunneled and fun, the other heated with a water slide. There are also two or three hot tubs. There is an outside resaurant if you want to push a button by the pool and order something. There is also a fitness center by the pool. There are kayaks and bikes and paddleboats to go have fun on. A little beach with sand to overlook a lake. There are nature paths to walk on and a golf course attached. Needless to say you can be very busy here. The rooms were simply beautiful and clean. I loved every minute of my stay and wish I was in the hotel more to explore.

Thank you so much for letting the Trip Advisor community know that when booking our hotel, please plan on spending time here to truly enjoy all we have to offer instead of using it to just put your head down at night. With our 1500 acres, there is something for everyone. Whether it be swimming, jogging, tennis or golf amongst our many choices, we are truly a destination property. When planning your next vacation to Orlando, we sure hope you put the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress at the top of your list.

I stay at this hotel, both for pleasure and for business, a few times each year. The service is always excellent (from the GM to the person at the front (allison) that helped me). During the summer months, the pools outside entertain my kids for hours/days. When you tire of the pools, the property is very very close to the Disney parks. Also, the Regency Club is well worth the extra money!

Room Tip: Choose a room overlooking the lake. Very pretty in the am.

Spent two nights with a friend and our two 13 year old sons first trip to Disney and Orlando .

Our flight from Atlanta had us there by 11:30am. They got us in our rooms early. We had chosen to upgrade to Regency level. Was worth it for very nice breakfast choices including salmon bagels fresh fruit and cheese. coffee water snacks available all day.

Super fast and polite valet and front desk staff. Surprisingly good pool side food , loved the Mahi Fish tacos. We checked out Sunday but had a late flight. Hung by the great pool and water slide. Kept our bags and car til late not an issue at all even though we had checked out.

Stayed on 6th floor suite good view of fireworks in the distance at Disney. Overall very happy with every part of our stay. Grounds well kept also

We really enjoyed this resort. We spent a day in the pools & hot tubs with our granddaughter, while her parents shopped at Downtown Disney.

If you're not staying in a Disney Resort this is a good choice, but I would skip Hemingway's Restaurant as Trellises was much better in our opinion.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the Disney World property, as then if you're there at night, you can see a...

We appreciate your five point review and are glad you enjoyed your stay with us. Our Hemingway's restaurant is dinner only family friendly casual place to enjoy creative entrees. Trellises Lounge is a bar in the evening and a coffee bar in the morning, serving huge muffins and cakes, yogurt, bananas and natural fruit juices to grab and go or sit at any number of tables. We hope you will join us again to enjoy all we have to offer.

This is a beautiful property and the staff are pleasant and very helpful. The porter who parked our car and helped us with the luggage was outstanding and offered to put our luggage straight into our car whilst we had breakfast. The room is spacious and well furbished and the breakfast very good
There were however some missing touches which I would have expected in a resort hotel of this class. Despite the $25 resort fee there were no dressing gowns or slippers and we had to pay for water in the room. The $25 included internet but it is time that Hyatt joined Marriott and other major groups and provided this free of charge (we only stayed overnight and did not have the opportunity to benefit from any other resort facilities)

I stayed at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress last week for a business conference. While the hotel was selected by the conference, I couldn't have been more pleased. It's a very nice hotel, and the staff and services were wonderful. I'm looking forward to going back with my family on a vacation.

Arrived here in the evening after a long travel day and we were greeted with a glass of champagne and a complimentary upgrade to a pool view room. Our check in was fast and the young lady was charming. Room was fine and the view was lovely. Wonderful rainfall shower and plenty of space for clothing etc. The only complaint we have is that, like most other hotels, the furniture could use a good shampooing and the carpets as well. The pool and grounds are breathtaking and the Palm Cafe has good food. Buffet breakfast at Cascades leaves something to be desired for the money you are spending and we found the wait staff a little lax. Shuttles to the parks and outlet mall save you some money, but it would be nice to have a few more pick ups, as sometimes, you just want to go for the afternoon and evening, etc. All in all, I would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: As everyone says, the pool view room has a view of Disney and the fireworks.
