My family of four stay here at least twice a year. We can't get enough of this amazing resort! It is large, beautiful, fun and well-maintained. Staff is friendly and there are numerous activities to occupy the whole family. The food is great (though a bit pricey). Wonderful location, close to Disney, but not in the middle of the chaos.

My only complaint is the fee to park...on top of a resort fee, they charge a nightly self-parking fee and all of these fees add up.

But, this resort is wonderful and I will stay here again and again.

Room Tip: Pool view rooms have a view of Epcot's nightly fireworks show.

We stayed here for four nights for a family vacation. It's right around the corner from Disney and we went to Downtown Disney several times during our visit. Even though it rained on us every day, it was an excellent vacation. The price for what you get here is unbeatable! All the staff were very helpful and nice. The beds were very comfortable. The pools, slide, and water sports were awesome! The food from the restaurants and room service was SO YUMMY although very expensive (but worth every penny). Our family of four averaged $80 for each breakfast, $150 for every lunch, and $200 for every dinner eaten at the hotel.

Room Tip: If you plan to spend any more time in your room other than sleeping and changing, I'd suggest th...

This was our second time at this resort, and er loved it this summer too. The resort is very safe (gated), and has so many nice activities and a beautiful and large pool area. The rooms are comfy and has nice interior. Unfortunately we spoted a coacroch our last night there. But no problem, they gave us a new room right away. There are a lot of nice family restaurants and supermarkets in walking distance from the resort. Close to Disney and other parks as well. We would love to stay there again.

Thank you for returning to our resort ! We are glad that you enjoyed the many activities and our comfortable rooms. We are right in the heart of Lake Buena Vista, yet our resort feels miles away. This is because we are a gated 1500 acre resort that has a large buffer zone of tropical landscaping and a 21 acre lake. We hope that when your travel plans bring you back to Orlando, that you will choose to stay with us once again.

We stayed here from 4th July for one week.
The hotel and ground were amazing, the pool was fantastic and all staff were friendly and helpful.
We knew about the resort fees when we booked ,and anyone who does not, obviously have not checked their booking details,so we have no complaints there.
We only ate lunch round the pool, because it is quite expensive for breakfast and dinner, but you cannot fault the food at lunch,it was of a very good quality.
In the rooms is a chiller,we walked to the local 7/11 to get supplies each day.
The rooms were very nice, comfortable beds, the sliding bathroom door was ok,maybe a lock on it would be nice, but we did not find it a big problem.Millers Ale house 5 mins down the drive was a great place to eat,we ate there most nights and was good value , good service and food, avoid the Olive garden,we ate there once, never again.
There are loads of restaurants nearby but quite a few did not seem that great,Dennys wasnt great for breakfast either so give that one a miss.
Downtown Disney is round the corner, but a long way round the corner,.we walked it,took about 45minutes,so we didnt do that again.
Premium outlet mall,we walked that as well, took about 1hr30mins so not advised,it didnt look that far on the map,the hotel does run a shuttle but we missed it.
At the hotel my son used the driving range,we all played pitch n putt,we went canoeing on the lake, cycling around the resort and there were many other things to do.
All in all great place to stay and would stay again.

The hotel is gorgeous, we had not been there for about 7 years and it's still a standout. Wonderful pool, huge and very refreshing. Nice diversions (golf, pitch and putt, etc..), close to the Disney parks.
The room was big and comfortable, for reference we were in 446, fantastic rain shower and very comfortable bed. A nice perk is the fireworks at Epcot and the Magic Kingdom in the distance at 9:00pm every night.
Not beware of the various fees; they are not hidden but are quite higher than in most hotels - a $22 resort fee, a $23 valet parking fee, expensive Starbucks coffee in the lobby.
That said, it was nice, relaxing and fun.

I visited this hotel along with my family in July 2013 for 3 nights.

Upon arrival, the complex looks very impressive and the hotel itself is very clean and the facilities are excellent for example you can choose from:
Pitch & put
Canoeing
Cycling
Volleyball
Rock wall climbing

However, I was slightly disappointed with the 2 beds in the room which were extremely small for a queen size (double) beds especially for the four of us

So we went to reception and they kindly offered us an alternative room same price with a king size and a queen

Overall I was happy staying at this hotel and it being so close to Disney and some restaurants just made it so much easier

From check in to check out we had a great time. Front desk was quick and efficient, very friendly and a welcome glass of champagne was a nice way to start our stay. The hotel and grounds are amazing, a hidden oasis in the middle of theme parks. Our room overlooked the swimming pool with Epcot and Magic Kingdom in the background, a step out balcony let you enjoy the Disney fireworks - definitely a room with a view. Bell services and valet were top notch. Dining and bar prices were on par with other resorts (overpriced), however completely enjoyed lunch and drinks poolside several times - service was attentive and friendly. Plenty to do from putting greens, kayak rentals and a great water slide. Look forward to returning again.
