The Hotel is under construction, leaving 2/3 of the pool area unusable; and the rest you just lay there and hear jack hammers. The hotel charged the full resort fee with the excuse that there was still the one part of the pool...... just horrible customer service.
If you MUST stay here, do NOT get a room with adjoining door (unless you have both rooms)... they made it so any movement in the rooms rattles the doors.. and if there are guests than come in and out... well, you are up until they go to bed.
And last, no light in the hallway as you enter the room, and the closet doors are also the bathroom doors, so no locks, no sound control. Also horrible. There are many beautiful better built and better service hotels in Orlando.

Room Tip: Do NOT get a room with ajoining door unless you want to hear everything in the room you adjoin, and every time they open the door it will sound as if they are breaking into your room.

Thank you for your comments. I would like to clarify that while we are enhancing our pool area with a new "Recreational Island," currently only the small 50,000 gallon pool is closed. Our spectacular 800,000 lagoon pool is still open and being enjoyed daily by our guests.

I can't say enough good things about this hotel. "Hotel" isn't really even the appropriate word - it's really a resort, right up there with Atlantis. We didn't even feel like we were in Florida, we felt like we were in the Caribbean. The room was great and immaculate, the bed was so comfortable, the bathroom was spacious - luxury all around. The restaurants were fantastic, all the food we had was top notch. (Strongly recommend the sushi and the signature s'mores dessert from Cascade.) Also, we had dinner in Cascade and our waitress was Marcela - one of the BEST servers we have ever had! We felt like we had known her for years! Worth requesting her if you go.
The grounds are like nothing else - spectacular landscaping and sculpture, exotic flowers, and the best pool I have ever seen! The pool goes under waterfalls and through caves - inside the caves is a bar, hot tubs, and little alcoves with lounge chairs. There's also a huge water slide. There's a beach overlooking a big, beautiful lake and you can take out sailboats/paddle boats which we did.
There was some construction going on while we were there but we didn't find it bothersome or distracting in the least. They're adding a water park like area I believe and expanding the pool. It didn't bother me - it just means there will be new attractions to look forward to on my next visit!
I can't say enough good things about every single aspect of this place. Worth every penny! Can't wait to go back!

Room Tip: Ask for a balcony overlooking the pool, great view!

We are so glad you had a great time here at our resort property. With all of the resort activities that are available, we feel it is one of the best, if not the best value in all of Orlando. Our 1500 acre resort offers 45 holes of Jack Nicklaus designed championship golf, hard court and clay court tennis facilities, 21 acre lake for sailing and paddle boating, running/bike trails almost 5 miles in length and excellent restaurants with award winning chefs to prepare incredible meals. The service we provide is to exceed our guests' expectations and it appears that we have done it again during your visit. Thank you for your review and it is great to read that you can't wait to come back !

This was our second visit to the Grand Cypress. Hotel is marvellous! It's like a small village with lots of things to do, which is good in between going to all the amusement parks you can stay also at the hotel for a day or two. Service is good and we'll definetely return there again.

Room Tip: We had 2 connecting rooms, which was a good choise with kids.

Thank you for returning to our resort and letting the Trip Advisor readers know that the resort is "Great as always" Our pool is open 24 hours a day so anytime our guests are away and return late to the hotel, they can always go for an evening swim to cool off from a hot day. So glad you experienced our world class service as well. We appreciate the review and look forward to your return.

stayed here in August with my family and we had a great time. The lobby is beautiful with many water fountains. The rooms are very modern and clean. Bathroom was very big. There was construction going on but we were not at the hotel most of the day so it did not bother us. The pool is amazing, it is very big with many sections and has slides with waterfalls. did boating on property which was a lot of fun. Valet was very quick. was able to see fireworks every night from our porch.

would definitely come back

Room Tip: ask room that you can see fireworks every night

I was given this accomodation from my company when I travelled to Cypress. The facilities are just awesome. You get breakfast complementary and food menu rates are manageable. You have your own kitchen with a microwave, an over, a grill and a four burner stove, so you can always cook your own food. You are given a nice big refrigerator which again helps. Laundry charges are way cheap. Room service is on daily basis. In short the best hotel I would recommend for anyone travelling to Cypress.
