“Gorgeous, historic church”
Reviewed January 12, 2014

We attended this church while on vacation in Orlando. Very close to the Disney attractions. Incredible grounds outside the church, architecture inside. Huge church, nice artwork for the stations of the cross, and large stained glass windows inside. For as large as it is, it caters to its true role. Confessions are heard 10-3 daily M-F. I found that impressive.

“Beautiful Facility”
Reviewed January 10, 2014

We use this Church each time we go to Orlando. It is very welcoming and can cope well with crowds. When we were there previously we were treated after the service to tea and donuts. This time however we could not stay. The only downside was this time we went by the trolley i ride and it took us a bit of time to find the entrance to the Church

“Slice of Heaven on Earth”
Reviewed January 9, 2014

Breath-takingly luminous basillica (great bronze statues and doors, spectacular stained glass windows, powerful Corpus Christi suspended above altar on illuminating cross)! Restful garden-like grounds (palms, fountains, green and/or secluded space for outdoor prayer)! Located conveniently on (I-4) freeway marginal (Vineland Ave.) just minutes from Downtown Disney. Mass and Confession offered daily. Gift shop stocked with everything you could want. Theologically-sound celebrants, confessors and books on property. Only down-sides are that its Vineland Ave location (once mostly undeveloped swamp-land) is now very densely developed with hotels, restaurants and a large outlet store shopping center. Accordingly, during tourist season, traffic on Vineland Ave (in each direction of the Shrine) can back up considerably. Of course, if you travel outside of peak season, then this won't be a factor. In any event, it is well worth a visit.
