“Peaceful and Serene”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 26, 2013

We found the Shrine quite by accident. It is located very near the entrance to an Outlet shopping area.
There is a very nice Catholic gift shop on the 22 acre grounds, located next to the Basilica. The gift shop, (Open Monday- Friday 8:30AM- 5:00 PM, Saturday and Sunday 8AM to 8PM, carries many religious articles and items of a spiritual nature. The items range from inexpensive small medals, to large outdoor garden statues. There is a Holy water font within the Gift shop as well as in the Basilica. A small museum is found behind the Gift shop in the same building. It houses a number of religious paintings, church vestments and religious items. There is no charge for admission.
There is a Priest in the office of the Basilica who is available for your spiritual needs, and will bless any religious articles you may have with you or recently purchased. A Blessed Sacrament Chapel includes a book of intentions that can be filled in by visitors. A Candle lighting area is found within the entrance of the Basilica for intentions as well.
Basilica Masses are well attended. The hours are Saturday 6:00 PM, Sunday 7:30 AM, 9:30 AM with choir, 11:30AM with choir, 6:00 PM. Weekday masses, Monday through Friday 8AM, 12:05 PM. The facility is not supported by a Parish, hence the need for donations. The tithe basket is passed twice during service. Attendees are not obligated to contribute, strictly voluntary.
Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in the adjoining Chapel is held Monday- Saturday 8:45 AM to 5PM.
Confession/ Reconciliaton Monday-Saturday 10AM -5PM, Sunday 1-5PM
Miraculous Medal Novena is held Monday 7PM
There is an outdoor Chapel and a lovely Rosary Garden with walkways, benches and Outdoor Stations of the Cross.
A beautiful peaceful place to spend a few moments reflecting.
We found ourselves returning a second time to take it all in and enjoy the peace and serenity.

“Beautiful, Peaceful and Spiritual!”

A nice place to stop in, pray and meditate. If you are Catholic, it has a very special meaning but people of all faiths are always welcome!

“A Great Place for Peace and Reflection”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 25, 2013

Mary, Queen of the Universe is a great place for peace and reflection - and a good place to go in order to escape the heavily trafficked tourist areas surrounding Orlando. The grounds are beautifully maintained - especially the Rosary Garden - with plenty of places to sit and pray, or just simply rest. Their gift shop has just about everything religious that you could ask for - from books, music and DVD's to jewelry and even lawn statutes. A must see for Christians during a visit to Orlando.

“Church of the Mouse”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 22, 2013

Every time we attend mass at this church, they ask for money during the homily. That is a total turn off. The Church itself is beautiful, but they could really do without begging for money. I am sure they have plenty of it.

“Too modern for my liking”

Had been told by others that this was a lovely church to visit so thought I wouldtake a look. Whilst it is a beautiful church it lacked the atmosphere of older buildings.
