We try to go by Old Key West every time we are in Orlando. We like to eat at the restaurant there Olivia's. They gave great food, a lot of choices and great prices for Disney.

The rooms called "hospitality house" rooms are the best rooms because they are the ones closest to the lobby and work out room, food, etc.

It's cheaper to stay here if you rent DVC points through David's DVC rentals.

Room Tip: choose hospitality house rooms

We stayed here April 22 to May 1st, 2013. Upon checking into our room we found toenails on the bed, when I called they said they would send someone to change the sheets. I said no they could move us to a clean room! They sent a man to help us move rooms who was clearly mad that he had to do this, he drove like a maniac and almost ran into a security woman and my kids and I almost fell out of the cart. He literally threw our luggage and left. When impaled the manager she said she would talk to him. A few days later we found a cock roach in our room. I called the manager and was told someone would be out right away. Waited for an hour and no one came, had called again and was assured someone would be out. No one came and I said I'm waiting and need to go and feed my kids. Was asked for my cell number so someone could call me and told to go to dinner. Returned to the resort three hours later and still hadn't heard from anyone so I stopped at the desk and was told oh they left you a message in the room. I then asked for the manager and said I was really not happy with the way that this stay has gone and only then did I have a great manager named Jennifer who apologized for the service I had received and immediately moved us to a 3 bedroom villa. The villa was nice and clean. The other rooms are dated, the carpet is old and needs to be replaced. Overall my stay was not good and ot worth the money I spent to stay at this resort!, never again.

Spent 9 days at the Old Key West in April and found the suite we were in spacious and had plenty of room for the 6 of us. The maid service was faultless and we were always provided clean towels etc every day without fail. The Disney motor coach to all the parks and Downtown were regular we never waited more than 10 mins and that was only once. All in all a great place to stay and would recommend.

Room Tip: Altho we were in 49 which was supposed to be noisy as it is fairly close to the road it was not that...

Spent a wonderful week at Old Key West with our entire family. Our 3 Granddaughters loved the
the pool and water slide. The rooms were very clean and well cared for by the hard working staff.
The resort was well spaced and only 2 stories. Easy for Grandpa and Grandma to navigate. Restaurant on site, Olivia's, served good food. Transportation to Disney was easy and well organized. Had a super Family vacation.

Listen. Everybody loves Disney
But this resort is nice but not the value I'd expect
Rooms are a bit dated grounds are nicely kept
Bug the walls of the unit are paper thin
Had to endure the voices and noises of ally neighbors
Thank goodness I only stayed two nights with my family
Would not recommend

We will never forget our week in Old Key West which I simply cannot fault. From the friendly, stress free check in process to the immaculately clean guest rooms, Old Key West is exceptional. It offers something for everyone, for the kids who capture the water slide from the pirates every morning to quieter activities for those wanting time out from the parks.

Unlike other locations within WDW, the resort is surprisingly quiet and this adds to its charm. Our lake view room was perfect!

A couple of hints; Firstly, this resort is massive. If you get the motor coach from Peninsular Road be prepared for a long ride round the resort - we found it better to catch the bus by the 'Hospitality House', Secondly: Take time out to enjoy the resort, the main pool is well supervised and we found it to be quite quiet during our stay.

A truly memorable stay (and we would go back if we get the oppurtunity)- Highly recommended!

Room Tip: Ask to be located near the Hospitality house

We are members of Disney's Vacation Club and our "home" resort is Old Key West (OKW). Although the vacation club enables you to stay at other resorts, this is truly our home away from home. We like how the resort is spread-out across multiple buildings, not centralized in one building. The surroundings are normally quiet - not overwhelming with a bunch of kids. For families with small kids, you are probably better off going to a value-based theme hotel, but for us OKW meets our needs. There is Olivia's, which is a restaurant located at the Hospitality House - which is also where they have the main pool, boat transport to Downtown Disney, and the Gurgling Suitcase, which is a little establishment serving "adult drinks" (try the Rum Runner - my wife's favorite). If you're a golfer (which I'm not), there is a course spread throughout the resort. Out of all of the Disney vacation club resort offerings, OKW is amongst the biggest in room sizes. The 1 & 2 bedroom rooms have a full-size kitchen (which is good if you're trying to cut down on your meal expenses - or - are just tired of eating out). As with all WDW resorts, continuous bus travel is offered to all of the parks and Downtown Disney.

Room Tip: There are several pools located in the resort, however, if you want to be close to the Hospitality H...
