Our family has visited Disney World many times and stayed in Disney resorts almost every time. We had never stayed at Old Key West resort because we live in South Florida and thought it wouldn't feel any different from home. WHAT A SURPRISE! This resort is beautiful, has a "Key West" feel, and is maintained very well. The bus service was fast and friendly. The 2-bedroom villa was perfect for two parents and four teen girls. The master king bedrrom and bath were amazing; including jacuzzi tub, separate toilet space, two vanities. The villa included the one-king bedroom and a 2-queen bedroom with bathroom, a living room space, dining area, full kitchen, patio balcony, full size laundry room, and small foyer. VERY SPACIOUS! We will definitely consider Old Key West for future Disney trips even though we are Florida residents!

Room Tip: Third floor corner rooms for complete quiet and views

We were in town for a very short stay to see a concert at the House of Blues. We have never stayed at OKW and we were looking forward to the large renovated rooms. Unfortunately the size of the rooms was completely countered by the atrocious check in process we encountered. We arrived early and expected to stay at the pool for most of the day until our room was ready. We were very excited that we received a text about 2 hours before we had expected and we started the loooong walk to our room. After we arrived the maids informed us that they just got to the room and it would not be ready for some time. After several calls to the front desk someone finally came and picked us up (about 20 min) and moved us to our new room. New room was ready but the location was extremely far from the transportation. Considering we were only there for one night we called the front desk yet again and were relocated to a closer room. We've stayed at many disney properties before and rarely have a car with us on our trip. This is one resort that I will never stay in again unless we have a car to get us around the resort. The rooms were large and newly renovated, the main pool was a bit smaller than I would have expected for a resort this size. Overall our short trip was cut even shorter due to some confusion at the front desk. I wouldn't rule this resort out as long as you have your own transportation.

Very nice rooms, had 2 one bedroom and 1 two bedroom unit, all very close together. Short walk to nearest bus stop for transportation, never waited more than 10 minutes for a bus to take us where we were going. Didn't use all the amenities but the pool was nice, and the staff was helpful when needed. Managed all the luggage for us too, that was a plus.

Disney advertises that their Vacation Club membership is their best kept secret (its not given that you have to sign up to a 45 year contract with no guarantee of being able to withdraw). However, the Old Key West is THE BEST KEPT DISNEY SECRET. I believe it was the first Vacation Club they built and the villas are massive compared to the newer villas. We go back year after year. Absolutely brilliant. I love every second at Old Key West.

Stayed here for 2 weeks. 1 bedroom villa. Excellent views. Fully equipped with absolutely everything youd need. Beds so comfortable you dont want to get up even the fold away ones. Immaculately clean by mousekeepers. Bath humungus. Telly showed Liverpool game...big plus. Massive laundry room. Plenty of storage. Very quiet...No noise from outside. Olivias restaurant very enjoyable. Gurgling suitcase tiny but friendly. Boats to hire great value and great fun. Hired bikes and cycled over to Saratoga Springs. Community Hall great fun for kids. Lots of activities for children all day and evening. Movies by pool. Lovely playground. Hot tub and sauna not availed of as too hot when we were there but looke dlovely. Fab pool and slide. Excellent regular transport to parks and downtown Disney as well as boat to DTD. Food to go has a nice selection of fast food and ice creams. All in all i would highly recommend this resort for any age. And would go back in a heartbeat.

Room Tip: Ask for room near Hospitality House. Way more convenient

We loved our stay at OKW. The buses were plentiful, the rooms spacious and having a full kitchen was great! We even grilled out a couple of nights and saved money by doing so.

We traveled for the first time with our family, my mother and father in law, and brother in law and his wife. could have been a huge head ache but turned out great. Stayed in a three bedroom villa and loved it. We all had meals together and time to talk but also had our own areas to go to when trying to get ready in the morning / evening. Loved that we could park our truck right out side our door. Resort is very spread out so driving your self to the parks was much quicker than waiting at the Bus stop. We love Disney and will be staying at Key West again in the future. Alarm clock was missing out of our bedroom so we called right away and they came with a new one is a reasonable amount of time.

Room Tip: Most are renovated but always good to ask, also closer to the Harbor House would have been nice.
