Stayed at AKL for two weeks over Christmas and NY. Had a fantastic time in all parks, restaurants and hotel. Will definitely be returning for the sixth time very soon!

This was my first time visiting Disney during the winter holiday season. I expected it to be very crowded. We arrived on December 22nd and spent our first day at Magic Kingdom. The park was full, but due to Disney's planning and organization, it never felt stressful or claustrophobic. They expertly handled the crowds. Most memorable for me were the fireworks and the night light parade.

We had incredible dinners every night in Epcot. Although some places were somewhat pricey, the meals, service and ambiance more than made up for it. It was fun dining each night in another country and it made each meal an "event". Our favorites were: Morocco, Teppan Edo and Hacienda de San Angel.

On New Year's Eve, we spent our last day at Epcot and were treated to a spectacular fireworks show at the end of the evening. It was crowded, but again, Disney has their parks well staffed and they think of every detail ahead of time so their guests are comfortable. I noticed that they had overflow parking on the grass and had set up street lights running on generators so that guests could easily find their car!

Overall, I was very pleased with our visit to Disney-even during its busiest season. They offered so many extras for the holidays and it was awesome to see it decorated and all lit up. Disney still has the magic!

What a fantastic place to experience. The Park Hopper and more tickets covered everything from the Disney theme parks to Disney water parks to Downtown Disney Quest arcade building. Over 3 weeks we saw a huge difference in the number of people attending the parks. It was great to the Christmas celebrations but the week from Christmas Eve to New Years was too busy. The weeks prior were the best time to visit and still see all the season celebrations.

Transport is the only time wasting issue, but it does teach you patience. Dont go via bus, boat, or mono-rail if you are impatient. We saved a bundle by taking snacks, drinks, and lunch almost every day. The kids meals are good value but when you have 4 people buying lunch and dinner every day adds up.

At this time of year you do need to reserve restuarants at some locations, for example, Germany at Epcot. Book well in advance too. Sometimes you can be lucky though, but you need to be flexible.

Not sure why they dont have shuttle buses running from theme parks to water parks? We did waste a lot of time with public transport as you need to go from a Disney Resort to the parks if you are not staying at Disney Accomodation. With no car, we saved on the parking fees and traffic jams, but the transfers, buses, ferrys, mono-rails all take time.

The 10 day Park Hopper and more is around $450 per adult including tax. You have 14 days to use it after you first enter a theme park.

Each park has its own special parade or fireworks show, get a guide, or better yet get the My Disney Experience app, it is awesome. It uses gps to locate where you are and what is on when, including waiting times.

The only other comment concerns Fast Passes. They seem to go quickly this time of year. Be sure to organise a few to save time later and make your visit more relaxing and enjoyable. No ride is worth a 2 hour plus wait for 5 minutes of entertainment....Very frustrating when the fast pass people keep walking on to the ride, delaying the standby que time and time again. Disney is working on a new wrist band system currently.

We were there for Christmas and it was the busiest I have ever seen and while there were people knocking into us and at times rude people, the magic was not lost. It was truly amazing. Whenever you are at disney, it always feels like you are getting your money's worth unlike so many other parks that nickel and dime the customers. I wish i could live in Disney but for now I'll just go back every year or so.
