“A Hooneymoon Stay”
Reviewed January 6, 2014

Hotel & Staff very nice. Handy tuck shop available next to reception.

We had a suite with a seating area which was really nice to have to come back to an relax. Definitely worth the extra £100 or so difference from the Fairfield Inn accross the pool which didnt have this. Good kitchen area with microwave, kettle and fridge - great for the evening snacks. Free Wifi in the room which worked perfectly and resonably quick. Believe there was also ethernet too but never used. Air con was VERY good and kept us cool during the heat.

Breakfast had good selection although for Brits - the biscuits & gravy is a very strange concept and taste! Had a starbucks and small cafe but we never used it as we were out except a few days when i wasn't so well! Pool was also nice but a little small given its shared between the two hotels, then again surprisingly we didnt use it that much.

There are plenty of parking spaces along with a rear door in case its raining. There is also an I-Ride stop a walk across the road. There is also a CVS pharmacy next to the Hotel as well as a TGI Fridays (very nice!) and a buffalo wild wings. However many more restaurants within a hop or two on the I-Drive or a 15 min max car ride!

The travel desk can also arrange transport to Busch Gardens for you by coach but i wouldn't bother with the Taxi to the parks (very cramped and lots of stops). Better to pay less for the I-Ride and come back when you want.

Overall a really nice stay. Inclusion of a buffet breakfast is great (and not much heard of in the area). Its nice to try other placed one or twice on your stay but its good mnost days just to go down, eat and be on with your day. Rooms and facility good, clean and tidy. Staff reasonably helpful (although occasionally looking a little bored) but generally very nice personality wise and always happy to help.

One final tip - dont use the payphone. The staff warned me it was expensive however i needed to call my travel insurance company in the UK (due to illness). Boy did it cost me (£30 for not over 5 minutes). Never managed to claim back thorugh credit card but it was minor considering the great honeymoon we had. Thank you Marriott Sprinhill Suites @ Seaworld.

Room Tip: Higher rooms have a nice view!

Stayed here for 3 nights on a recent trip to Discovery Cove, Seaworld and Aquatica between Christmas and New Years. The only way to be closer would be to pitch a tent in the Seaworld parking lot. All 3 parks are about a 10 minute walk. 1 night we watched the SW fireworks from the hotel. There are shuttles but they only run at set times and the intervals can be sort of far apart so we never took them. We got a parking pass at DC and so just drove the 1 minute drive to each park.

The hotel is very modern, so not at all plush or comfy looking if that's what you're into. But it was a great price for the location. The pool is ok, nothing super special, but we never used it. It shares the pool with the Fairfield next door. The breakfast was very good for a free breakfast. Not sure what people are expecting that give it bad reviews. Eggs, sausage, waffles, bagels, pastries, cereal, fruit. Again, it's free. It was semi busy the 3 days we went but never over crowded and never really waited except for maybe the waffle maker and could always find a seat. Even when we went after 9am.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. When I originally booked there were only king rooms available, but I put in a request for 2 queens and they got it for us. My youngest liked (and hoarded) the free lollipops at the front desk.

The room was pretty spacious and there were 2 separate sinks and separated toilet and shower which was nice. Microwave and refrigerator as well. The pull out bed was not very comfy but my son never complained.

It's an official Seaworld partner hotel which is one of the main reasons we stayed here. Free Quick Queue passes for Seaworld. I read reviews at some hotels about having to get to the desk before 7am or they would run out of passes. Wasn't looking forward to the process since we are not early risers. However I was pleasantly surprised the day we arrived to find the passes still available in the afternoon. They also gave them to me for the next day since they give them out a day in advance. We easily got them for each day we were there. No dawn patrol needed. The passes were great. We walked onto Kraken, Manta, JTA, Antarctica, etc.

I would not stay here if I were going to Disney. There are probably 50+ hotels closer to Disney than this. But if you are planning to go to Discovery Cove, SW or Aquatica, this is the place. We probably won't be back to Seaworld too soon, but when we do, we will stay here.

We stayed just before Christmas for 5 nights. The hotel is modern and well located on international drive with Seaworld very close by. Our room with 2 queen beds was spacious and included a fridge, microwave, desk and sofa. The toilet was separate from the bathroom, which may be advantageous for 4 or 5 people in the room. Unfortunately there was no safe in the room.
We stayed on the 5th floor and had no issues with sleep.
The breakfast finishes early and it does get busy so good idea to not wait till near 9am. We were there most mornings around 7am and found we missed most of the crowds. It was mainly continental spread with hot items of scrambled eggs and sausages. We didn't get tired of the breakfast over our stay as the quality was not bad. The scrambled eggs and bread were the best options. The breakfast staff were very friendly and made everyone feel welcome.
Included in the price is internet access, breakfast and parking. Overall we had a very good experience at the hotel and would return. Last year we stayed at the Renaissance at Seaworld, but I would be more inclined to chose this hotel as there are no additional charges for WIFI, breakfast and parking.

We're grandparents hooking up with grandkids for a few days (babysitting while daughter/son went to the bowl game) and it was almost perfect.

This was our first time at a SpringHill (we usually do Hampton Inn or Courtyard) and we were pleasantly suprirsed - free WiFi, free Parking, free Hot Breakfast - and the rooms were very nice. (NOTE: Don't forget the Marriott Senior Discount, if applicable!)

We were in room 1601 - top floor, end of hall - it was quiet despite the crowd of kids primed for SeaWorld (you get to see them, however, at breakfast which is best done earlier than later if you want to enjoy it!).
The layout was unique with water closet and bathroom separate and both on the wall you look at when laying in bed. The sitting/desk area was nice for reading or working without bothering someone in bed. Bed was comfortable, TV was HD quality on many channels.

Only three minor things about our room - two design & one fixable. The bathroom mirror is designed like an oval with lighting from behind but despite an overhead light, my wife found it not bright enough to do her makeup. Also, the position of the water closet and shower across from the bed made it difficult to sneak in there in the middle of the night without disturbing a light-sleeping spouse. Finally, the carpet in the room looked stained - in many places right in the middle of the room - and although I assume they tried to clean it, the carpet has that "1 star" appearance you don't like to sink your bare feet into.

But, all that's picky - this is a very nice hotel - good quality and good value - and we would definitely go there again. (ASIDE: We had reservations at The Castle - a boutique hotel just taken over by Marriott but switched away to the Springhill because Castle charged for WiFi & parking, had no free breakfast and cost more - we figured we saved $50 a night by making the change).

once again this hotel did the job! close to all attractions and comfortable. good eateries right across the hotel, a Fridays and a Buffalo Wild Wings. CVS Pharmacy is also within walking distance.

Breakfast is nothing special but its free so no complaints.

definitely my #1 choice for hotel when going for a disney vacation!

We stayed at this hotel just before Christmas and it was excellent .
It's a very busy hotel but handled by excellent, pleasant, efficient staff.
Breakfast can be very busy, but go early and it won't be a problem.

The hotel itself is superbly decorated, clean and has great amenities the lobby is so welcoming and inviting and the rooms are modern and comfortable.
Restaurants ,drugstores and a gas station are all close by as is Seaworld & Aquatica.
There is plenty of free parking and also a shuttle bus to the Seaworld parks.
I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone.

Just returned from a week and Springhills. All in all very good, many positives which were...

Easy check in
Nice spacious room which was very clean and comfy beds
Good facilities especially being able to get room service until 11pm
Lovely friendly staff
Heated pool
Tour desk to book trips through, especially good for SeaWorld. Got a cracking price
Taxis available instantly via reception
Restaurants and stores within walking distance
I-Ride stop on main road
Free wifi
Free Lolipops!

The negatives we found were

Breakfast could of been better - certainly not European standard. Was limited to scrambled eggs and either bacon or sausage. Plenty of cereal/pastries/waffles/juice etc but if you wanted a hot cooked breakfast you won't get it here

Room noise - constant humming of the aircon even if yours in your room was off. We thought it was just our room as we were next to the plant room on the floor, but it could be heard in corridors and outside. Didn't bother us, but might do if you are a light sleeper

Only provide a coach to Epcot which was $9 per person return, then you have to use Disney transport to access the other parks. Again not a too big deal, but would be nice if the hotel served all parks direct. A taxi to Magic Kingdom was $37 each way. However there is a coach available to Universal, and a free coach to SeaWorld and Aquatica

Also a taxi fare from the airport was $40 which maybe cheaper than to book a transfer so bare that in mind

We had a great week here, would have no worries in returning, and I would recommend to others
