“Really nice, clean and convenient”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 26, 2010

Although I didn't ask, the hotel seems new so everything was clean and pleasantly decorated. It's right across the street from Sea World (although I think you still need to drive there) and the location on International Drive makes it convenient to a ton of restaurants and some other activities. Also close to the convention center, which is why I was there. Complimentary standard breakfast, Starbucks coffee, Pizza Hut & burgers at the pool.

Check in was smooth. Room was on the third floor overlooking Central Florida Parkway and parking lot as well as the KFC across the street. (Not much to look at) But not at the hotel much anyway so this was OK. Room was clean and in good shape. Bathroom was cleaned and in good shape. Went to Universal Studio's the first night, Returned about 11:30 pm ready for bed. Found that the hotel was full of South America tour groups. Could hear doors opening and closing, talking till about 1:00 AM. Bring some Tylenol PM. If you want to enjoy breakfast go after the tour groups leave. Breakfast was only served till 9:30 AM. If you are from the West coast or Rocky Mountain area. That's early (6:30 am - 7:30 am) I found that breakfast was just OK. Frozen eggs and potatoes Just your basic stuff. Nothing to write home about. I did go to the outdoor bar on the last night food was good beer was cold. They could use some more seating and help in the bar/pool area. Not a bad hotel if you plan on being gone and only using the room to sleep and shower.

My daughter and I stayed here after getting a great deal on a package from Marriott Vacation Club. It was extremely convenient to Sea World, Discovery Cove, and the freeway. The room was very clean, modern, and large. She really enjoyed eating room service from Pizza Hut Express and enjoyed the cute pool. (It is small, but she lucked out and had it all to herself.) The complimentary breakfast had lots of choices, and there were several restaurants nearby. I would recommend this for families with young children looking for a bargain.

I booked this hotel through Monarch and paid £172 for 4 nights. We turned up a day early hoping to get in but was told by reception they were fully booked - receptionists were not that helpful! So we stayed at the florida hotel and conference center for one night - don't go there, too expensive for one night! So the next day we returned to the Fairfield Inn to check in on our correct date. This hotel is new and decorated so nice! Our room slept 4 people so we had a seperate sofa area and had 2 flat screen tv's. Such a nice room and bathroom - was really happy with my choice of hotel. Aquatica is next door but don't bother going there, i think they had one dolphin that you can't even see! Seaworld is across the road and is great!

We booked this hotel after reading reviews in Trip Advisor and we were impressed. Firstly we got an upgrade to a suite which was great as we really used the fridge. Plus it's great to have a large room. The beds were very comfy and very quiet at night even though the hotel was very full. The bathroom is of good size with bath and shower and plenty of space to store things. The pool area is great especially for children with the splash area. The food and drink at the pool bar is very reasonably priced. Locally there are a few restaurants. We did have a car which proved very useful as we were able to get to Disney in 15 to 20 mins door to door ! Wal-Mart is very near for any necessities and of course for driving to the outlet malls (Premium Outlets is a mere 5 min drive from the hotel) and Florida mall. We also drove to Clearwater and Honeymoon Island (absolutely gorgeous). What we found was staying at this quieter end of I Drive is that it is easier to get to places as the I-4 is easier to get to than other places on I-Drive. In fact, getting to Disney and back was as quick staying here than using Disney transport when we have stayed in Disney properties in the past. The hotel staff were very friendly and the room was always cleaned very well. You also get a good view of Seaworld fireworks at night and the brilliant Aquatica water park is a 10 minute walk away (though we drove there - only $12 to park) as we had a 'stroller' and there aren't pavements all the way. The included breakfast was adequate as there was always something that the children would eat which is great. Having to go out each day for breakfast is a pain especially when you want an early start at the parks, so this is a good thing at this hotel. There are laundry facilities on most floors (only $1 for wash or dry) and free internet access in the business area. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to other travellers.

Arived back from Orlando yesterday and had the most amazing time ever. When we booked the hotel I didn't think it looked anything fancy but as your in your room not that often it had what it needed.

First of all, the reception staff could not have been nicer. The hotel itself is spotless and so modern. The rooms were great and had a coffee machine, tv, iron and ironing board. Unfortunately there isn't a fridge but you do get them in the suites. However, the lack of fridge wasn't much of a problem as there is an ice machine on every floor that you can use. There is a Starbucks within the hotel (located in Springhill Suites which is next door and is also Marriott), Pizza Hut Express by the pool and a mini supermarket. The gym is great and all modern equipment.

TGI Fridays is a stone throw away, McDonalds/ KFC/ Wendys and Dennys is round the corner and supermarkets are also close by. There is actually a supermarket being built and was almost complete when we finished which will be great.

The hotel provide a complimentary breakfast which I thought would be a bowl of cereal or a bit of toast but there was loads including cereals, brown/ white bread, brown/white bagels, yoghurts, eggs, tea, coffee, fruit juice, cakes etc. I felt this was excellent as it would have been a pain going out for breakfast and American portions are dangerous haha.

The pool is a good size and has a jacuzzi. It doesn't look big but some days we had the pool to ourselves as people were at parks etc.

We didn't get a car as we were unsure of the roads but instead paid $17 for a 14 day I-Trolly pass which comes every 20 minutes. The only thing is it stops at 10.30pm. Also, as the hotel is located near Seaworld and Aquatica it always goes into the parks and can sometimes be a pain when there are loads of people crammed on to this small bus and can sometimes take upto an hour to get to the other end of I-drive.

In terms of buying park tickets, we purchased some here and got Disney over there. The rep told us she didnt do 1 day passes which was what we wanted and also told us that going to Disney would cost $20 each. HOWEVER, located in the Springfield Suites (next door) is Expedia who arranged a shuttle bus to Disney for £8 each and honestly told us that buying the tickets at the gate instead of him would be cheaper.

America are quite strict when it comes to selling alcohol and we were often asked for I.D. At TGI's we were asked and provided our driving licenses which was fine and they served us, a couple of days later there was different staff on who also asked for ID and said they could not accept a British drivers license and would have to be a passport. This was a rather frustrating night!

Taxi's - Be careful if you have to take a taxi as they can try and rip you off. They have a metre and sometimes don't put it on. We also had a driver that back tracked himself and it cost us the same price for what should have been a 5 minute journey home as a 25 minute journey to the Florida Mall.

There are 2 main outets, Prime and Premium. The nearest to the Fairfield is Premium and is about 5 minutes away and was my fave.

A restaurant you have to try is Maggiano's Little Italy on International Drive. Amazing!!!!

I could talk about the holiday all day it was that good. If you are thinking of booking the Fairfield I would 100% reccommend it. Absolutely faultless! I loved it and would go back in an instant. I miss it already and I only got back yesterday:-(

just returned from Fairfield after 12nights with my 11 year old son. Read up on reviews on tripadvisor before travelled, the hotel is fab. Everything is modern and new, we where upgraded free to a suite on the 4th floor. 2flat screen tv's,fridge, microwave, seating area,2 queen beds which where so comfortable! and best of all a view of seaworld and the fireworks every night..brilliant
The staff where very helpfull, we did not have a car but there is a i-ride stop right outside the hotel. We went all over on this and used the shuttle bus to go to Universal and Busch Gardens, small charge of $8 each return, which I thought was very good. Lovely pool shared with the Springhill suites, you can get food and drink there made fresh at reasonable price. Across the car park is TGI fridays which is very popular with locals and tourists, we visited couple of times, food was fab,and service great, not overpriced. All in all a brilliant holiday and would recommend to anyone who wants a nice hotel not in the centre of international drive but within easy reach of the parks.
