We stayed here while visiting Disney. We asked the hotel to arrange transportation from the airport for us, which was unbelievably expensive, although thankfully our driver was a cool guy who helped us out in getting around Orlando afterwards since we did not have a car. But the price of that one trip was very steep. Check-in was great, we were given an upgrade which we were very grateful for. The room was clean, spacious and luxurious with a great view. Breakfast can be a bit hectic (lots of kids - beware if you don't like them or are on business - but kids are a given here given the location), but there is plenty of food and good service, especially the lady who makes the eggs and cares so much about getting it right. At first we were a bit embarrassed to ask for a to-go box to take some things upstairs with us so we could finish our breakfast while we got ready to go the parks (as we wanted to get to them as early as possible), but they were really nice about this, I guess they get that a lot since people probably have kids who want snacks etc. I was really disappointed that we didn't get time to lounge by the pool, it looked great. Also I think were is a lazy river... I was really excited to try this.. but couldn't see it on the grounds (tho' it appeared on the hotel map?). Also was disappointed that we did not have time for a bike ride on the golf course. The gym and recreational facilities are truly outstanding in this hotel. I saw they had a kids' club too which I would've been grateful for were I a parent with kids. The only thing I was slightly disappointed by was the food options re: room service. Usually at the end of the day we were so tired from walking around the parks all day we just wanted to eat dinner in our room and relax, plus, if you don't have a car and you're not eating dinner in the parks, you're a bit of a captive, especially if you want to eat healthy food since Downtown Disney (which this hotel is really close to) doesn't have many healthful options. The healthy room service food was good, but it was expensive (as expected) and lacked variety, we ended up ordering the same things each night. The hotel shuttle to and from the parks is GREAT, and made our trip so much easier. If we went to Orlando again I would book this hotel. Especially when it's peak Disney season (spring break), the quality you get from this hotel for the price far outweighs the available '5 star' Disney options.
