“One of the BEST stays in Orlando!"”
Reviewed September 5, 2011

We stayed at Hilton Orlando for a few days of R&R... and were very impressed with this hotel for the following reasons: (1) Facility is clean and well maintained, (2) Staff is very customer friendly (yes, even in Orlando!), (3) Location is perfect if you are going to visit the theme parks. (TIP: If you are a Florida resident, ask about a resident discount, saved about $25/night). The only negative is the food + beverage prices are a little pricey poolside, you can bring your own and save a few $$. If you choose to stay at the executive lounge level (18+19th floor) you will receive breakfast, fresh cookies in the afternoon, light snacks in the evening and dessert later in the evening -- free water/soft drinks all day, cash bar for alcohol. Be sure to stop in at David's (sports bar) for dinner or drinks, they have free pool tables and an awesome outside patio with open flame fire pit tables. You will not be disappointed!

GottatravelFlorida - Thanks for staying with us. We agree that the Executive Lounge and David's Club are two of the must-experience venues at the hotel. Glad your stay went so well and thanks for the review.

We were supposed to stay here one night, but ended up staying 4 nights due to hurricane Irene cancelling our flight home. Was here with two teenagers and we really loved it. Room was a bit on the small side, but beds were super cozy and comfortable Without question the best, freshest food we've ever eaten at a hotel buffet breakfast, extremely fresh and delicious food, and very reasonably priced. ( I believe it was $10.95 for adults and $7.95 for kids).

We spent lots of time at the pool - the slide is really fun (but gets slippery, be careful!), and the lazy river is also great - sometimes its a little too lazy and doesnt move much, but its fun). We ate at Davids which was good, but our favorite place to eat was by the pool at Tropics. Extremely friendly staff, and literally one of the best burgers we've ever had (and the ahi tuna also outstanding). Really made it enjoyable to just sit by the pool, order some lunch and enjoy the day. Pool and Tropics staff very helpful and attentive, and just laid back and very friendly. They should really be commended. Hotel was pretty empty so no problem getting chairs or umbrellas.

My only suggestion is that some of the concierge staff, while friendly and helpful, were not totally familiar with all of the hours of operation in the hotel (for example one of them told me the business center was closed, when it was actually open) - this could be because the hours change, not a big deal. We had one minor problem when we ordered room service one evening, after waiting about 40 minutes (they had told us 25), they not only apologized profusely for the delay, but gave us the food at no charge. That's really good service, and things like that, and the pool, and the friendly staff, will certainly have us coming back again.

While be stranded because of the hurricane can be a real downer, it sounds like you made the most of your experience. Always nice to hear great service stories so thanks for sharing! Easilyfound - thanks for the review and awesome ratings.

I was a little hesitant to stay at the Hilton for a few reasons, but it turned out to be perfect! The hotel is in a good location, right off International Drive. It's walking distance to Aquatica, and if you're up for a bit of a hike, Sea World.

The hotel itself is really nice. My husband and I went for our first wedding anniversary, and were really happy. We only ate at one of the restaurants for breakfast. The breakfast buffet was good, and was only $10.95- quite a deal in Orlando!

The pool area is what really sets the hotel apart. It has 2 pools- a large one with a nice water slide, and then a gated 'Quiet Pool'. There is also a lazy river- super great, its longer than the one at Aquatica! The whole pool area is very tropical, lots of palm trees and foliage. There is also plenty of lounge chairs, even when it was crowded.

The fire pits were alot of fun too. There are 2 large ones outside of the pool area. I didn't know until I saw someone order them, but the hotel has s'mores packages available with sticks to roast marshmellows! Fun!

The hotel staff was super nice, very helpful. There is a gate guard at the self parking, and anytime we left they would come out and ask if we needed directions etc. FYI- self parking is $13 a day.

Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone. We were there for a getaway, but it would be a fun hotel for families too.

Spent two nights here. The rooms were clean, and the bed was soft. The pool area was amazing. They had a wonderful pool, a jacuzzi, a slide, and a lazy river. They also had a few other activities around the area (basket ball courts, fooze ball, a pool table). And if that's too much excitement, you could also hang by the quiet pool or the fire pit. Great for families!
