My wife and I went to Norman's on a recommendation from the AMEX concierge and we are glad we did. We sat just outside the wine table, which I would recommend for a larger party, and enjoyed the decor immensely. The ambiance was quiet and romantic, which was perfect for us. The staff was all very helpful and our waiter seemed passionate about the food and wine. I had a wonderful Sea Bass that was cooked and seasoned to perfection. My wife had the pork that was presented beautifully and had a mouth watering flavor. We both had generous portions for our salad, we split the house salad, and main courses but the desert seemed a little small. We probably would have been happy having one each, instead of splitting the single serving. The only down side to the evening, was having to pay the bill and leave. If you appreciate fine dining and great wine, this is a place you can't pass up.

This was an excellent restaurant, deserving of every one of it's 4 Forbes stars. The only very minor issue was that we had to wait a few minutes for the host to come to the front to greet us. Everything after that was top notch.

The service was impeccable; attentive but not intrusive. The waitstaff was knowledgeable about the food, the preparation techniques and the wine.

We had an outstanding pork belly appetizer, and our entrees of snapper and a grilled veal chop were flawless. The veal was incredibly tender. Dessert was imaginative and beautiful to look at (almost didn't want to ruin the preparation, but it was too good to pass up!).

I also have to mention that the bartender made an excellent Old Fashioned...not something one finds everyday.

Our third visit in as many years, and Norman’s did not disappoint. The complete experience here compares favorably to top restaurants in any city around the world. The menu manges to offer a variety of foods to suit every taste while still being well edited. Although pricey, the tasting menu was much less expensive than comparable menus in New York. We tried the tasting menu (see photos - of note the salad, best I've ever tasted, and the lamb done to perfection) and had a spectacular bottle of wine (Tignanello) and were almost in a food coma by dessert. We requested a copy of the tasting menu and were presented with a rolled, ribbon tied memento! Service was attentive, but not fussy. Special dietary requests were accommodated. Only discomfort - the seats, both chairs and banquette are very plush rather than firm, and if you’re a small person, you sink, so that the table level becomes rather too high. Otherwise, A+++

Note: If you are not a guest of the Ritz-Carlton, do not hesitate to avail yourselves of the valet parking: The restaurant validates.

We dined here twice during a recent stay at the Ritz. Each night was different but both delicious. The first time we ate at Normans it was a romantic dinner for two. The Floribean flair was very good and creative. Service was impeccable and a special experience. The second time we ate at Normand we had a large group which included children. We were not sure if this was a appropriate pace for kids but on this night their were allot f families. The staff catered to the kids. They even went out of their way to to re-make dessert to go for us. Excellent food, must mention the cheese course, and the pork with mole sauce, and table side ceviche with Patron tequila. Definitely try Normans for a special occasion.

We were greeted by the restaurant reception and taken to our table, which was very nice. They had a wonderful large wine display and we were seated right up against it. We dined there on the 24th December. Whilst the food was set to a special holiday menu, the restaurant was not overly decorated- but it was still very sophisticated and relaxed.

We had a four course meal with a selection of great wines. The wait staff were very helpful and the food was exquisite. It was perfect for a Christmas Eve dinner.

The restaurant is attached to the hotel and the hotel lobby featured beautiful decorations and a gigantic life sized gingerbread house. The hotel was actually quite gorgeous and I would consider staying there is future.

I would definitely return to Norman's again if ever in Orlando. It was the best fine dining restaurant that we ate at whilst in the area.
