“A taste of paradise!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 20, 2013

Though our trip was during the Christmas/New Year holiday season I am finally getting a chance to write a review of the wonderful facility and staff of the Bonnet Creek Hilton. My wife, children and I have stayed at the hotel on numerous occasions over the past three years. Beginning with Bill Friedrich and now Mark Huurneman, the welcome and greeting has always been exceptional. They have made our stays wonderful and memorable. The crew at the Harvest Bistro has also been attentive to our many visits tithe restaurant. Murod, the hostesses (at that time) Chantell and Gloribel along with our two favorite rawer era, John Paul and Rocky, have made us feel very welcome and at home. I actually miss being with these great people and always trying to figure out how to return.

Room Tip: Of course asking for the Disney view and the upper floors are our favorites

We stayed for a week and based our choice on Tripadvisor recommendations.

The hotel is conveniently located for the Disney parks and the courtesy buses are punctual and regular. We did hire a car which was convenient for trips to Walmart, malls and Legoland. However I can understand why some guests choose not to hire.

This is a large conference hotel. When we arrived Thomson Reuters were hosting an event. Later in the week 1000+ guests attended a Petsmart conference. The hotel rooms are very quiet and we were not disturbed at all.

Breakfast at the Harvest Bistro was excellent, although I would recommend that you arrive early otherwise queues form. the Italian (La Luce) was good too.

We all loved the pool. The lazy river and slide were great. Special mention to Joseph who was amazing with the kids at the slide.

I'm confident that we'll return and would recommend this a family hotel close to Disney.

We were very pleased by this hotel. We are diamond Hilton members so got a nice upgrade to a pool/golf view room.

Room itself was standard - nothing good or bad to note. I would recommend the pool/golf view room, it is wonderful and each morning on the pool lounges they write a message, "welcome", "you rock" it just is a little something fun to start your day.

Pool area is wonderful for kids. Walk in pool and plenty of room. We were lucky there was a HUGE convention in house, so that the pool was relatively empty (conventionees were all in meetings or drinking), which was very nice. There is a lazy river and afternoon crafts for kids. I didn't find anything at the pool overly expensive, which was refreshing. The crafts cost $5-$8 to do and we bought a float for $10 at the pool shop.

Everyone we encountered at the hotel was very friendly, polite and seemed happy to be there. That is very important to us.

To get to Magic Kingdom was quite easy. They have buses 2 times an hour which go to the Waldorf then to Disney transportation hub, quick and pleasant trip. I wish they had better service to Downtown Disney - only 3 or 4 trips each way and the first one going was around 1pm. We took a cab there and back for $12-14/each way, plus tip.

Only negative I would comment on and it did weigh on why I didn't give this resort 5 starts was the cleaning service. Super friendly, but we were away from our room from 8am to 4:00 and when we got back our room had not been serviced. I had to work in the evening and we had a sleeping child after a day at Disney, so I was annoyed. We called and they did "refresh" our room while we were at dinner, but the room was not serviced the way it should have been.

We will be back!

Room Tip: Pool view!

Fun for me! Fun for my 6 yr old! Fun for the husband!
Great poolside service. Love the serpentine current pool with floats. Nice view from room! Could see Disney fireworks!!
Nice choice of restaurants (though they may require reservation).
Staff was courteous and had urgency to help you!

I visited the Hilton Bonnet Creek mid-December for business but the holiday decor and activities made it seem more like, well, a holiday! In the past I was a regular in Orlando for business and have always stayed at the JW Marriot/ Ritz. The Hilton Bonnet Creek/ Waldorf is right on par, if not better. I am so happy to have another option!
At the time of my visit I had just returned from Italy and La Luce took me right back. The food and service were great. The staff and management were very warm and welcoming.

We had an amazing time at the Hilton Bonnet Creek. When we arrived and checked in, we were upgraded to a one bedroom with an attached large living room with sleep sofa, kitchenette, dining space and large office area which was perfect because I had to work while we were there.

The lobby was spacious and offered plenty of room to stretch out and relax, have a drink or just visit in the afternoon, rooms were large and welcoming. The pool area was great for the kids, who also loved the lazy river.

The food in each of the dining locations (we ate in all of them over the week we were there) was very good, and if you are a Hilton Honors member, use your continental breakfast certificate to upgrade to a full breakfast for just $4 or $5. My family of four ate a huge, full breakfast each day for a grand total of $17 before tip.

The only con was that we were far enough from Disney that if you missed the shuttle, or it was full and you need to cab, it was $30 or so each way... I really wish they ran shuttles a bit more often.

We stayed with points and the $22 per day "resort fee" was waived. However, the $16 per day parking fee was not. The room was beautiful and large. However, you need to factor into the price of the additional fees. The pool/lazy river looked nice, but we didn't have an opportunity to use.
