“Great Family Hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 31, 2013

Large rooms, safe location, an awesome pool and a great fitness center. You have to go off site for restaurants and shopping but it's not inconvenient. There is plenty of parking. A car is necessary since there is nothing immediately adjacent to the hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a balcony.

3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 29, 2013

Cons: Too worn out for it's age. HVAC was unreliable in first room. Accessible rooms leave a lot to be desired. Power outage! Absolutely horrible "free wifi", I mean really terrible (would disconnect every few minutes or so). Not worth the price for it's namesake brand.

Pros: Further back than most hotels making it quiet. Fitness center was fairly large and could accommodate at least 10 people. Pool view was nice. Large rooms regardless of accessibility. While never using the pool during our stay it looked very clean and was constantly being maintained by staff. Just close enough to many dining venues that broadly range in price. If you have children along they will probably enjoy the daily activities that are available. Hotel staff is very kind and willing to go above and beyond to assist.

We stayed at this property October 21st to the 25th, 2013. As stated in title, we've stayed another time as part of our Grand Vacations membership. This time we booked the room as regular hhonors guests. Upon entering the complex we noticed that only two of 5? of the towers were completed (There was only one last time, 3+ years ago). Not an issue; more of an observation (what's taking so long?).

The lobby is still very nice and the staff was very friendly. Our preferences lean more toward high floors away from the elevator and vending. They managed to get us onto the 14th floor, pool view but right beside the elevator. Now here's the first problem: when we entered the room we noticed it was an accessible room. We don't normally grouse when we get this room style. Typically it's actually more roomy and, well, accessible. But this time was different. As we've stayed before, we were expecting the same amenities from the king suite like the deep soaking tub and large shower. What we got was a room with a roll-in shower and a shallower tub. Not exactly the most romantic way to spend our nights. So we decided to call down and get a room change. They were "all booked up" for the night but promised us a switch the following day. That night after getting back from social engagements I sat on the patio taking in the early night and noticed that most of tower one was dark, as in, no one there dark. I told myself to suck it up and change out the next day.

The following day we called down to guest services to find out when we could change out. They told us that they would contact me in the early afternoon to make the changes. Check out is at 10 AM. So we figured we could go out, have an extended lunch and come back to a freshly made new room with the amenities we were looking forward to. We waited quite a while. They called a little after 4 PM (same time as regular check-in). They had moved us down to the 10th floor. No big deal. The kind staff brought up our keys and we made our way to the new room. While on a lower floor, this room was more in line with what we were looking for.

Any time we travel to Orlando I have to keep reminding myself that this town is in constant motion. So the rooms do get worn out rather quickly. I just wasn't expecting it to be this worn already. The modern style of the room is great. But the devil really was in the details here. First off, while everything was clean, most of the furniture and accessories were just not pleasing for relaxation. The sofa was rough. The sconces in the bathroom were crooked. You might think I am being nit-picky but when we are loyal to our brand and for a new tower in a relatively new complex I wasn't expecting all the imperfections. Plus we had the luxury of staying underneath some extremely loud people...who stayed up really late...and were pounding on that floor hard enough to wake me up. Thankfully they were gone in a couple of days.

Now some practical stuff. There isn't much in the way of storage in the bathroom. So if you're staying for a while there will be some issues with counter space. Also in the shower there is one tiny shelf that can accommodate a couple of bottles and everything else needs to go on the floor. Also the shower door itself has about half inch spaces on all sides except top where there is a approximately a foot high gap from the ceiling. The rest of the shower is enclosed in glass. I mention this because it makes for messy showering every time. In the shower you get a rainfall shower head and a handheld spray. The pressure was low on all faucets so the best option was to use the spray on it's handle for showering. One problem: the sprayer handle would not stay in place. It was a ball joint that kept sagging. So trying to position it for stability meant more water on the floor as the sprayer took on a life of it's own and sprayed everywhere. Another water related issue was a weird sulfur smell in the water so I was uneasy drinking from the tap. Opting to spend more money for bottled water.

Another irritation is the lack of hhonors support for amenities. We didn't receive a single amenity for our level. That's a biggie for me. While Hilton is not the flagship brand in the line, it is still in the top tier of the Hilton brand. I expect if we are brand loyal and receive these amenities elsewhere that we should also receive them here as well.

Overall, we weren't here for the hotel stay. But the accommodations are very important at the end of long days out in Orlando.

Room Tip: I hear if you stay on the other side of the building you can see the Disney fireworks at night. Not...

Thank you for your feedback. We’re pleased you found our staff to be very friendly and to hear you thought the modern style of your room was great and that everything was clean. At the same time though, we sincerely apologize for the frustration you experienced shortly after your arrival with your initial room assignment, as well as the confusion regarding the unique benefits we provide our loyal Hilton HHonors Members. That said, please be assured we truly value and appreciate your comments and that we’ll use them in a positive, proactive manner moving forward.

I find this a tough property to review. 4* property with some unmet potential. Basically staying in a condo with limited services.

Pros: Very nice rooms. Hardwood floors. Spacious bathrooms. Great space. Property is away from traffic which is good and bad (see Cons). Near some nice residential restaurants. On site food is decent. Room prices very reasonable.

Cons: Property was dead. It is way off in the middle of nowhere. If you want to walk around - there is not much to see. Looks like the property is set up another 5-6 towers which have not been built. Studio room had no kitchen. Room had a TERRIBLE view of a concrete wall and cars in parking garage. No Hilton Diamond perks. Better places to stay for families in my opinion.

We stayed October 20-24 and had a wonderful experience. We love the location...within 7 miles of Disney and Universal...Fantastic restaurants right around the corner!! We enjoyed eating at the onsite restaurant! Lots of activities offered throughout the day! Wonderful pool with water slide! My son and his friend loved that the most!!! The parking is "tight"...my husband would only allow me to give it 4 stars bc of the parking!! I will say this...if you are on floor 4 or 5 you might have obstructed view of parking garage. We were on flr 9 of Bldg #2 on the back side so we had a nice view of Epcot and we could see Magic Kingdom in the distance. We also could see a very far away view of the fireworks and that was nice for the kids.
The restaurant onsite was very nice. WE ate lunch and snacks there. It was pricey for dinner so we went out to eat bc if we were going to spend that much $$ it was not going to be there.
Highly recommended!!!!!!!!!!!

My wife and I have been HGVC members since 2009. This is the second time that we have stayed at the Parc Soleil. Each time we have had a 1 bedroom. Both times we have been very happy with our stay.

The one bedroom timeshares are spacious and very comfortable with all of the amenities. The facilities are great and the place is perfectly located for families with children. Disney World and Sea World are just minutes away along with all of the shopping and restaurants that you may need.

My only minor complaint is the activity program around the pool. If you are staying there as a couple you may find some of the activities annoying.

Still we will return. This property has plenty of room for expansion and I hope in the future, they will ensure that some buildings will be children free for couples that just want to spend some quiet time alone.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing away from the pool to avoid the noisy afternoon games.

This is a really nice hotel - fresh design, beautiful rooms, very friendly staff, great pool.
What wrecked it though was that they try to sell you "time share on steroids" through super high-pressure sales tactics - tactics which would be illegal in Australia!!
A very strongly worded complaint letter is soon to head to Hilton head office from myself.

Thank you for your comments. We’re delighted you found our resort staff to be very friendly and to hear you thought our rooms were fresh & beautiful and that the pool was great. At the same time though, we’re very concerned about your less than favorable impression of our overall resort due to your interaction with our Sales Team. With this in mind, while there is obviously nothing we can do to change what you experienced, it would be greatly appreciated if you would contact Robin Bocuse, our Senior Director of Sales, at rbocuse@hgvc.com , at your earliest convenience so we can learn more about the particulars of your situation. Again, we thank you for your kind words about our friendly staff and we look forward to hearing back from you so we can benefit from your added insight and perspective.

I stayed for 8 nights on a business trip in a one bedroom suite that was spacious with a full kitchen, living room, large bathroom and a terrace. The suite was equipped with two TV's and a washer and dryer. I stayed in building 100, which had indoor parking. The resort is gated and well secured. Laundry service was very good. House keeping was available at the time I requested and was fast and efficient.
Check in was fast and reception employees were very welcoming and helpful. Checkout was even faster. I would come back again.
