Owner description: One of 4 theme parks at Walt Disney World Resort, Epcot theme park sprawls across 300 acres—twice the size of Magic Kingdom park—and is divided into Future World and World Showcase. If you are traveling to Orlando, it is a must stop. I would say this more geared to the teen or adult rides. There are plenty of attraction shows to keep you busy for a while. In Future WOrld you can ride high thrill rides of Mission Space or Test Track or Soarin. Or watch the shows of Honey I Shrunk the Audience or the Ellen Show. Enter World Shocase for a quick tour around the entire world. Tremendous amount of food choices. Each area is divided by countries and food representative of that area. The night concludes with the awesome Illuminations fireworks display.

Just visited EPCOT on Saturday afternoon/evening. Here are some observations:

1) Entry to the Food & Wine Fest is included in your regular park ticket price, but each sample of food, wine, or beer is separate and can range from $2-$6. Yes it gets expensive but Disney IS EXPENSIVE! If anyone has experienced anything OTHER than this I would love to hear your money saving secrets!!

2) Spaceship Earth has recently been redone, which the old lass really needed. Siemens has done a fantastic job bringing it up to date and there's even a personalized bonus at the end (make sure you stick around and have "it" emailed to you as a free momento). The line moves quickly if you get stuck in it but we went later in the evening (seven p.m.) and there was basically no wait.

3) Soarin' is amazing but make sure you FastPass it early in the day as they seem to run out of FPs around 1 p.m. It's really the only thrill ride in EPCOT....since the dang Malestrom is like a bad Pirates of the Caribbean.

4) As for the Food & Wine Fest - I wouldn't waste any time in the Festival Center unless you plan on seeing some of the free demos that take place. On to the good stuff: Each country in the World Showcase has its own booth set up along the path, and you just eyeball the sign to see if it has something you want to try, and if so, get in line. The lines were never that bad, fortunately. We went with empty stomachs and planned on the samples being our dinner. You can use your Disney room key as a charge card for the samples which is very convenient. I also saw people paying with cash (of course!) and credit cards.

SIDE NOTE: There is a menu online at Disney's website that tells you up front what each country's booth will be offering, I suggest you read it before hand so you know what items are a "no-miss" for your family. Personally, the bread pudding at the Louisiana booth was my all-time fave!

5) We stayed and watched Illuminations and it was pretty interesting. I've read other reviews that say to stick around and wait a bit after it's over because the bus/monorail wait times are bad but we did not experience this.

6) EPCOT closed at 9 p.m. when we were there, which is a bit early. So check the EPCOT calendar in advance before you go in case you want to spend more time at the F&WF (on different days the park is open later).

I love EPCOT and the Food & Wine Fest. There's something to see for every age (ok maybe not the 3 and under crowd) during this time of the year!

The Epcot Center was something I was really looking forward to, but was disappointed by the high prices. The entry alone was $72...with an additional $12 just for parking! Some of the shows in the Future World were really poor - the Nemo show was boring and broke down twice, as was the Journey into Imagination. However the World Showcase was really a highlight. The shows were great and seeing the different cultures was worthwhile. Meeting the Disney characters was always good too. I think I'm disappointed that the super-rich Disney corp couldn't lower their prices - even the staff we spoke to were embarassed about it.

We have been going to Disney since 1974(before EPCOT was open). However it has been a couple of years since we went to Canada. We visited the movie in Sept 2008, and was excited about seeing the new movie. We were very disappointed!! The new movie is O K, but doesn't have the awesome views of that beautiful country that it had in the past. The beautiful music is also gone. We loved the organ music in the old film and loved the old rendition of O Canada.
