Apparently the huge queues for meeting the characters from Frozen has gone on for months. There must be twins or sisters in the world who could do this job without ruining it for the youngsters. Why not have more than one set working at a time ? We took turns to wait so our girls could meet the characters and they loved it but it's not good enough to keep children waiting this long, it's not using your imagination at all DIsney, I know they have now moved to the Magic Kingdom but fear the problem has not been solved.

It's sort of a combination of county fair and International exposition. And its spacious nature makes it a long walk in a single day (we covered 8 miles). The rides are limited which may not satisfy teenagers and because of this they are on a tiered Fast Pass system. What does this mean ...you get a shot at booking a time for one of their top 3 rides and 2 of their other rides. The top attractions are Test Track, high speed auto testing; Soaring over California, a simulated flight over Cal; and Mission Space...a simulated space tour. All are fun but lines are long. The other rides or shows are secondary but interesting to mostly kids or adults.

As adults, we arrived early and booked Soaring on Fast Pass, then went to Test Track which was 80 minutes wait and used the single rider line (not always available) to cut that to 15 minutes. Having seen Mission Space in the past we went onto enjoying the international pavilions and its diversity of rides, movies and food within them. I'd recommend the Gran Fiesta ride in the Mexico Pavilion, and Maelstrom in the Norwegian Pavilion for the kids. The Movies are good in the French Pavilion, American Pavilion (with a live pre-show choral group), and the China Pavilion. Live entertainment (all outside) worthwhile are the Kilted Canadian rock group , the semi star free shows near the American Pavilion (on weekends) and the Beatles impersonation group near the British Pavilion. The Kodo drum show outside the Japanese Pavilion are also interesting.

As to food we have tried the Tokyo dining, Tangerine cafe, Biergarten (Expensive but with oompah band) and all were above average for Park food.

A good place to leisurely stroll while dodging strollers.

Of all the parks, Epcot is my favourite. It has a good mix of thrill rides like Mission Space, Sum of All Thrills and Test Track but there are lots of hidden gems which educate as well as entertain. My kids loved Spaceship Earth and Living with the Land even though they were tame by the standards of most theme park rides. Living with the Land in particular had a great view inside greenhouses where new technologies for growing food are being researched. My two year old had a ball on the Nemo ride where the animated fish seemed to swim in amongst the real fish. The World Showcase has virtually no rides but it is nice to walk around and stop for a drink and The Agent P treasure hunt game kept the kids amused with some excellent hidden special effects - once again Disney takes the time to create the magic that sets them apart from other theme parks. My only disappointment was Soarin - a good but not great ride and certainly not worth a two hour wait so only go if you have a fast pass. A lot of Epcot looks dated but I think the retro deign only adds to its charm. Just make sure you stay for the fireworks - it is still the best show I have ever seen.

Epcot has not moved on with the times sadly with a light show that is the same as it was in our last visit ten years ago with the same old floating metal globe. The Nemo ride is well worth a visit but the world showcase looks tired compared to parks where there is an investment to keep audiences captivated like Universal Studios islands of adventure. Most disappointing was a 5 hour queue at 10:30 am to meet the characters from Frozen. I was so shocked that Disney would expect children to wait for this period of time that I went to talk with guest services who kindly reminded me that if people choose to qeue they choose to qeue! Hardly making magical memories. I was also told that the frozen characters would be moving to magical kingdom but of course fast track was all taken up well before their move. I would recommend visiting if you have a 14 day pass but do not expect anything new and certainly not visionary or futuristic. Good for a retro flashback but not at all on par to what Disney could/should be offering.

Out of all the disney parks this one is properly my least favourite. I mean don't get me wrong I don't hate it but it could be a lot better. This was Walts most loved project he was working on when he died and he drew it as being a experimental prototype community of tommorow but that isn't really what it turned out to be. They really should redesign it a little. Do up the restraunts ( to look like they are very futuristic and add a ride or two. There isn't much to do there I mean I like space ship earth but once you have done it you have done it. Soarin is fun but not very thrilling and test track is good but very bussy. They need to add a roller coaster and a ride for kids. Then maybe make it look more futuristic like tommorow land in magic kingdom. Then it will get a 4 star raiting.

As for the world showcase it is great, very realistic and detailed and I love the fireworks at the end of the night. I also wish that there were more chracters to greet.

But epcot is still fun and a good park with lots to see and some to do.
