I think the Grand Bohemian is a great alternative for Orlando. Downtown is actually pleasant even if small. You can walk around and try out a few restaurants and pubs that are very decent. The hotel has excellent service all around including parking. Room: good size, excellent mattress, nice red velvety couch, TV needs update (actually given where the prices are for TVs any hotel that doesn't have flat panel TVs is a joke), decent cable selection, good Internet connection. Nice updated bathroom with quality toiletries.

Great concept, and great way to write off your million dollar Art collection (by hanging it on the walls). Of course the location is central to downtown, and offers a boutique hotel atmosphere, but the ammenities need an update: Towels, Bed Coverings, Rooms, etc.. Oh, The restaurant is Fabulous for Orlando (I lived there for 10 years), Sunday Brunch especially! I would pay up to $200, but no more (Then I would go to the Four Seasons or Universal Properties!)

We came to the Grand Bohemian Hotel for a wedding and loved the hotel. Great bed and fabulous pillows. I hate not having a good pillow and they were fabulous and plentiful.
I also loved that they had a coffee pot in the room with Starbucks coffee. Doesn't get any better then that, along with they also had a Starbucks cafe in the hotel with free WiFi.
The service was good and pool area was very nice along with the fitness center.

We booked this hotel because of its proximity to the Amway Arena and going to the Cold Play concert. The hotel was busy. The valet was quick and it was nice having our car in a covered garage. The front desk was full but we were able to get into our room at 3pm. The journey to hotel room was one unique piece of art after another. Our room was nice but not overly impressive. Lately we've been spoiled by flat screen TVs and large showers. The TV was the usual and the shower was the typical bathtub with a special shower head. The beds had nice sheets and our view was fantastic of the busy street outside towards a small lake. We noticed a large fire station nearby but noticed it a whole lot more through the night as the sirens continued and continued. So we thought we had a room with a great view, but the noise would have been less on the other side. We had noticed upon arrival that the lounge/bar had a dress code. We were a bit disappointed that it wasn't enforced when we went down for dinner. They had some lovely life music. Our dinner was fantastic. There was only one vegetarian option, besides salads, on the menu, but it was a great choice by the chef. The only huge disappointment was that the hotel had closed down the pool for wedding receptions. They indicated they had made arrangements with another hotel to use their pool, but we felt it was a detail they should have advised when it was determined so that we could decide if the amenity was important to us. But overall, the hotel was refreshing compared to the usual very touristy Orlando hotels that we have stayed at previously.

Was looking for a 'nicer' hotel in Orlando. I've stayed at Disney many times and wanted to see what downtown Orlando was like.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. The hotel was extremely nice, the staff was very attentive, and the room was very nice.

There was a lot of cool artwork in the rooms and throughout the hotel. The location was very central - near the night scene on Church street (but not too close).

There's not a ton to see in downtown Orlando but this was THE place to stay.

Highly recommended!

This is not your typical travel experience. A really a rare find in downtown Orlando. Many amenities (restaurants, clubs, etc.) within walking distance.

Trust the concierge (Mersiha) to take personal care of you. Let her setup your dinner arrangements and trust her menu recommendation! It only takes one visit for her to remember your name (I don't know how she does it?). She knows all the "off-the-beaten-path" (a.k.a non-tourist) spots in Orlando. As long as she is there I'll keep going back. First class concierge attention.

The rooms are great; very comfortable and chic!

GB makes business travel easier. I have no reservations (pun intended) recommending this hotel.

This is a premier hotel. The experience is grand, from the minute you drive up to the minute you drive away. It is all about service and respectful friendliness. There is really nothing more to say other than it was a wounderful experience, and I would recommend it to anyone and everyone.
