This is out second time in the Hard Rock and we were very pleased again..! The staff are friendly, the rooms are very nice and the food was good too. Great place to stay if you have children as they have a pool party every afternoon that us great fun to watch. DJ and MC are very funny and there is nothing stuffy about the hotel. Music is great!

Recent July 4th Holiday stay was excellent. Stayed on club level and it helped to save some food dollars though I expected the club level lounge to be bigger. The food in all locations was very good......ate everything and never a bad meal or experience at The Palm, The Kitchen restaurant, the pool bar/lounge (adult drinks very expensive).
The music everywhere was GREAT! The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
Early entrance to Universal a big plus with added Express pass helped save lots of 'time in line'.
Had a great vacation and will definitely be back.

Room Tip: Club level worth the extra dollars.

First rate service, clean rooms, friendly staff. Pool outside was great for the kids, water slide was a hit. My only fault was that the pool depth only went to just over 4 feet, no deep end, so for us larger ones it is not deep enough to get right into a swim, but the music playing under water was something different and alot of fun. At night they would play a movie at the pools' edge, so everyone sat and cooled off while enjoying the show. Staying at this hotel gives you early admission to the Universal theme parks, so you get in an hour early before the gates open. Loved the free boat shuttle to the attractions, especially after walking around the Universal parks all day. It was great to sit and get a short ride along the river to the hotel back entrance. I definately will go back to this hotel someday, the kids and adults all enjoyed it.

Room Tip: spend a bit more to get a pool view room, beautiful pool area with sand beach

Everything is good about this hotel except when we were checking in, the guy at the front desk wasn't very helpful. He didnt smile at us once. He didn't show us where the elevators were- we had to find them ourselves after going the wrong way initially. He was quite dissmisive of our questions like we were being an inconvenience. They were only simple questions like which way is it to universal studios. When we got up to the room we realized we needed a key to open the mini bar- which the guy at the front desk did not tell us. So we had to go back down to get one. The rooms were nice and comfortable but the hallways were EXTREMELY cold and we were quite far down the hall so it was a bit annoying as it was hot outside and we just had shorts and tops on. It was probably about 14 or 15 degrees- a bit excessive. Other than that our stay was nice.

We stayed at the Hard Rock from 06-30 through 07-02 and wished it was longer. It was a two family trip and we all had a great time. Pool, restaurants and lounge were fun, food was good. Rooms were comfortable and staff was very friendly. Next visit will definitely be longer.

If you want a trip down memory lane when hippies were in fashion and the art of loving yourself by being ignorant to others and being entirely self centred and obnoxious then the Hard Rock Orlando is the place for you. For the princely sum of $20 per night you can play "find a parking space" or even better for the price of a room (a hefty $300 + per night) you could also indulge yoursef in trying to locate a sunbed that has not been blocked by some arrogant guest out enjoying the theme parks nearby and placing towels or a single flip flop on the sunbed effectively claiming it as of right.
The pool staff are generally too busy indulging in their own social lives to give a stuff about the guests and are experts at dodging any reasonable requests for assistance.
The noise of staff using hair dryers to dry out damp or flaking walls is only bettered by morning staff who compete with each other in the early hours by trying to shout the loudest down guest corridors
Don't even try to watch the room TV's, every single channel show either B or C rated programmes and the ones that don't only advertise the crapy services the hotel has to offer.
The past is over, get over it and start again.
Please, please stop the strange behaviour of 65 year old swingers walking through the hotel lobby (male and female) in various states of embarrassing undress, showing lewd and ridiculous imagery of a well forgotten and misspent youth.
Avoid this place at all costs, especially overpriced ones.

Room Tip: Try the other hotels in the area

We stayed only one night (we had come down to see Boston in concert at Hard Rock Live), but enjoyed our stay very much. We were upgraded to a club level room. That ment that we had access to the club lounge. They serve a continental breakfast, snacks at several times, and sweet treats at the end of the day- all complementary. We were only able to try the breakfast, but it was good. There was an excellent assorment of cereals, various breads, oatmeal and fruit. The room was large, with a seating alcove at the window with a nice view of the well tended grounds. There was also a large table and chairs as well as the king bed. The bathroom was a little small, but having a seperate sink and vanity area was helpful. The hotel is onlly about a 5-10 min. walk from Universal studios amusement park and CityWalk Ior you can take the water shuttle boat). While there are a couple of (expensive) restaurants at the hotel, there are plenty of other choices at City Walk- from fast food to mid-level (Bubba Gump's seafood) to expensive (Emeril's). The rooms and hallways are very clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. They are also doinng a new promtion- the earlier you check out, the more times you get your name entered into a drawing to win a free stay. We had to leave early to catch our flight home, so we were able to check out before 8:00am and got 3 chances in the drawing!
