Not a negative word about the Royal Pacific. Enjoyed our stay. Accommodations were plush and suited our needs for the weekend getaway we had planned. Normally I stay at the Portofino Bay, a bit more high end and luxurious, but they were booked!

I have stayed here several times due to the location and getting the express passes for Universal. My last stay was less than stellar so I was hoping for better this time. We visited during MLK weekend and reserved a suite since we had 2 families. As for the room, it was very nice with a large king bed and pull out sofa. I noticed that we needed more blankets and pillows and the staff brought them up right away. The hotel was very busy with some type of Latin Beauty Pageant going on so the continental breakfast area was closed off every morning for their party, but they had additional stands up with coffee and pastries, etc. for the other guests. The most surprising aspect of this visit was when the housekeeper showed up around 9pm and asked if we wanted our bed turned down and/or some chocolate. Uh...yeah, thanks. Nice extra touch. Overall, this stay was the type of service that I expect from Loews.

This was our first time at this hotel with our new puppy. Check in was fast and front desk employees were friendly. I thought it was a very nice touch when we got our bag of goodies for our puppy!! Lowes hotels do love pets! They have a convenient doggie park very close to the pet room area.
Love the water taxi and our express passes. Definitely we will stay again with our dog.

On 3/1/14, my wife and I went to the front desk of the Lows Royal Pacific Resort at Universal Orlando to make sure that our reservations for are granddaughter would be acceptable and basically go off without a hitch since this was going to be a gift for her engagement to her boyfriend. Anne and Abby, at the front desk took wonderful care of us and said that they would make sure their stay would be memorable. Thank you Lows, Annie and Abby!

Lobby and common areas are beautiful. Rooms not so much. For over 300 dollars a night I expect to be able to come back in the afternoon and have my room clean after being gone for 5 hours. Not the case. Restaurant food and service good but they need to clean their ceiling fans that blow dust and God knows what else around the rooms. BTW if they have a convention while your there forget it. You're a second class citizen. They cater to them and forget about the regular people. Oh yes and I don't know where they bought the torture devices they call beds at but the government could use them to interrogate terrorists.

Room Tip: Go to the Hard Rock.

This is most certainly a beautiful resort. Every employee we had contact with was extremely polite and helpful. We bought a Universal Vacation a Package through Universal's website and chose a Club Level room in Tower 3. This was wonderful. The Club Room was so lovely located on the 7th floor with an almost constant flow of food, coffee, water and soda from 7am to 9 pm, with unlimited beer and wine from 4:30-6:30. With two teens and a pre-teen who eat constantly, this was so worth it. As others have posted here, there was a glitch at check-in. They did not have us booked in a Club Level Room, which was surprising since we booked through Universal with the RP being a "special partner hotel." Anyway, they did correct the error right away before we headed for our room. I was the one who caught the error. BE SURE, if you reserve a Club Level Room, that you make sure that is what you are getting and have the proof of it (e-documents or such.) We are SO glad we stayed on-site to visit Universal. The water taxi was great. Never waited more than 15 min. Only walked once, and that took less than 10 min. We also chose the R/T airport transport with our vacation package so we wouldn't have to deal with a car, and that process was flawless. The Universal Express Pass was one fabulous feature, as was the Universal a Dining Plan. The restaurants at the resort are VERY expensive, especially with a family of 5, and we are not picky- cheap, either. We did not experience a dirty room like many have - maybe because we were staying in one of the newly-renovated Club a Rooms? Don't know....The walls were very thin, though, and since CityWalk stays open until 2am, there were quite a few inconsiderate and very loud guests in the hallways late at night (that bit is not the fault of the hotel but that of those particular guests.) Just be aware of that. Also, as stated in some of these reviews, as with check-in, we had more trouble at check-out. Even with the vacation package, we had to pay a separate $25/night fee for a roll-away for our 3rd child, which, in my opinion is beyond cheap! After $3.00/night tax added to that, I signed off on the check-out form for $112.00 for 4 nights of having the roll-away the morning we left. After getting home later and checking the credit card, we were charged $412.00! I thought it must be a typo but when we called RP, and spoke to some not-terribly polite employees, we were told their policy is to automatically put a $400.00 charge on your card for "incidentals." Really? I think that amount is ridiculous. They said it would clear in a week. Be aware of this and check your bank statement. RP IS certainly a gorgeous resort with many conveniences but when we return to visit "Diagon Alley" at Universal in the future, we will try Loew's Portofino or the new Cabana Bay instead, since staying on-site is a must.

Loved so much about this hotel. The water taxi to Universal Studios was such a treat and so helpful it made getting to and from the park very easy. The rooms were spacious and always clean. When maintenance was needed they were there with a smile on their face and couldn't be more helpful. Front desk staff went out of their way to help my family out.
