Royal Pacific pays for itself ONLY if you purchase a multi-day pass to Universal Studios. Out of the 3 Universal hotels on property, this one is least expensive (and it isn't a bargain by a long shot) and the closest walk to the parks. Even booking a one night stay gets you early entry to parks and front of the line privileges. This perk pays for the price of the room! If you're skipping the parks and have money to blow, enjoy your relaxing stay surrounded by the Balinese influence. The property offers several pricey restaurants, boutiques, tea rooms, luau dinners, character breakfasts, golf privileges, Mandara Spa, and fitness center. The rooms are average-sized but furnished with impeccable Fijian style. The bathrooms are huge by hotel standards and feature plush linens with Bamboo Crème toiletries. The lagoon pool features several cafes, vigilant lifeguards, shady lounge chairs and umbrellas, and a "ship" themed play area with powerful water squirters. My 13 yr. old son wanted to squirt sunbathers rather than go to Universal! Pool side games and music keep the kids busy and entertained. Water taxis and tropical garden paths offer quick access to the parks. The downsides: room rates, fees for parking ($18 daily) and kid's clubs, extra fees for golf and gym access, overpriced food, and no free internet. Best bonus: Pool sharing privileges with Hard Rock (best slide at Universal) and Portofino Bay (most luxurious setting) for free.

Room Tip: None of the rooms are close to the parking lot. Pay the hotel porter to haul your baggage.

2 weeks here and we are sad to be returning home ( England ) .. Very clean tidy hotel where the staff have been cheery and very helpful. For us the greatest plus point is the 8 minute stroll to City Walk or taking the boat ... No driving and parking just walk, and when you've had enough walk back to the hotel ! Great to get in early before the crowds too. Free Wifi in the lobby which is super cool to escape the heat. Pool is clean and well set out and the poolside food was delicious. Overall ??? Very good indeed and yes I would recommend this hotel. 9/10.

Room Tip: I am sure they are as good as each other .

This resort was simply wonderful. I spent 5 days here with my husband and our 13 year old son. It proved to be just as it was represented in the photographs. The food at the Bula Bar and Grille was wonderful, and the service impeccable. The staff was very friendly and always there to help with any issue that arose. The resort is a short 10 minute walk to the Universal Parks down beautifully landscaped walkways. There is also a water taxi that takes you to City Walk, but the walk was so short we walked each day to the parks and back. We had a "standard" room, which had two queen beds (very comfy!) and separate shower and vanity/sink areas, which was convenient for the 3 of us to get ready simultaneously. The room was very clean and had nice tropical décor. Would highly recommend this resort.

Room Tip: We stayed in Tower 2, which was very convenient to pool area and lobby.

Take your Universal vacation to luxury. Excellent hotel. Grand lobby. Relaxing grounds. Great rooms! Pool was fun for the kids with splash ship and beach. Best ammenity is the Universal benefites, early entry to parks and express passes. Can have more fun for your time by using those. You can also either walk, take boat, take a bus, or like our treat on the first day a bicycle cab ride to the entrance. The girls were wishing they could stay longer in a great hotel.

Shared a week here with my 9 year old daughter. The resort is beautiful, clean and the staff extremely helpful. The pool & food at the Bula Bar were excellent! My daughter enjoyed the pool activities! Our room was very well cleaned and the bed super comfortable! Would gladly stay here again!

Room Tip: We loved staying on the main floor of the resort! Close to everything yet quiet!
