We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Loews Royal Pacific from the moment we walked in. The staff was amazing....especially the baggage crew, front desk staff, and pool wait staff. The room although not huge, was clean and comfy. We enjoyed the huge pool and water play area for the kids. Universal park is a short walk (approx. 5 minutes) or you can take the water boat taxi. One of the BEST features of staying at an Universal property hotel is early entry into Islands of adventure where we waited less than 20 minutes for Harry Potter and complimentary Express pass where we waited less than 15 minutes for every other ride in both parks on perhaps THE busiest week of the year!

We stayed here so that we could get early access to the Harry Potter rides at Universal (if you stay on site you get early access and there is no express pass for those rides). It was overpriced, over-full, the room wasn't ready, when it was ready, someone else was in the room... in all, the service (with the exception of the pool) was poor - really not what I have come to expect from Loews and certainly not what I'd expect when paying over $300 / night, plus wi fi, plus parking, plus plus plus.....front desk were snippy, housekeeping were blocking hallways all day, halls are long and dark, rooms smelled fousty and were outdated, windows were covered in handprints from previous guests, toothpaste from others on the mirror, mould in the shower. I was beyond unimpressed.

If you want early park access and don't mind spending a fortune for it, then by all means, stay here. Otherwise .. pass.

I will give credit where it's due: the pool and staff were EXCELLENT. The lifeguards, towel guy.. they all lived up to the expectation of a Loews hotel. and the pool is gorgeous.

Room Tip: it beats me. Perhaps the concierge floor is better?

Booked 2 rooms for 2 adults and 4 kids. We stayed 4 nights and 3 days. The location was perfect, walking distance or a short boat ride to the parks. The complimentary fast passes and early entry were well worth the cost of the room.our room overlooked a garden area, which made it feel peaceful and quiet. The pool was big, heated and nice. They could stand to put in another hot tub or two as the two they have tend to get quite crowded. Towels at the pool were big and there were lots of them. The torch lighting ceremony was really neat. Check in was quick and super easy. The beds were comfortable, but the cover always ended up on the floor because of the slippery material. The rooms had lots of space to keep luggage, and a big cooler for food and drinks. Wal-Mart is a couple of miles down the road, I would recommend getting snacks and breakfast foods and drinks for the hotel there. We paid for valet parking only after we figured out that the 18.00 self parking made it difficult to find open spaces. I think that for the cost of the room parking should be included, as well as the WiFi. The only free WiFi is located in the lobby. The rooms do not have microwaves, or mini fridges which would have been a nice touch, since most hotels now have them standard in each room. Overall, a nice place to stay.

Total bill for 1 night: over $500. You have to pay for room, parking, wi-fi, roll a way and taxes. Yes, it is convenient and yes the early admission and express pass are phenomenal, but you can really see both parks and the walk easily in 2 days. They do let you have all the benefits on both days when staying one night so that is great. We checked in at 7am and headed to the parks right away. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Pool is wonderful especially if you have kids. Lots of chairs too and towels available. Rooms a bit small for the price. Towels thick, beds ok. No frig or microwave. Restaurants pricey but all food is in the area.

Aloha ILFamilyof5!

Thank you for taking the time to write about your recent stay at our resort. While we understand our method of charging for individually used items, rather than charging an overall resort fee, can seem taxing, we hope the many benefits included with your stay have made this an overall enjoyable experience. We are especially pleased to see how much your family enjoyed the pool facilities and the many wonderful theme park benefits. We hope to welcome you back to the islands very soon!

Really lovely experience brilliant staff, amazing food.

Definitely worth it if not just for the express passes! Bedrooms were first class luxury. There is a boat which takes you to universal and you have access to the parks an hour early - Brilliant for Harry Potter World!
