My husband and three sons stayed at the Royal Pacific for five nights last week and it was excellent. We has a club level room and it was really worth the extra money. The hotel was clean and the people that work there are very nice. I had an issue with our room and David at the front desk resolved it and was so polite and kind - I so appreciate his help. The hotel is a beautiful property and I felt like I was on an island in the Pacific. The shuttles to the park are great and we even took a shuttle (free!) to seaworld. My 20 something sons loved the whole things and we will certainly return. IT WAS AWESOME!!!

I came here for the 2012 National Scrabble Championship and stayed at the hotel for about a week. It is very close to Universal Orlando, but I used the boat to go to CityWalk. That was a plus.

It was $300 for 5 nights for me, and I split a room with TWO people. $200 a night is very expensive but I understand it is a "resort" hotel. The pool was very nice and the activities were fun for sure. The rooms were very nice and the bed was very cozy. Bathroom was nice and updated, but shower could be improved.

If you're on a budget, do not come to this hotel. Want to splurge? This is a maybe,. I'd give 3.5 stars, but there are no halves.

Turned up outside and straight away there was someone to help us where to go. Check in was easy as long as you had your booking forms printed out. Gave us a map to the rooms which was easy to find. The boat to City walk is always a must as it is VIP treatment. Listen to the captain and he will always give good advice on the weather and where to eat on the day. Uninversal speak for itself. Its always a 10 out of 10 experience and the best run parks in Orlando. The pool is very clean and have certain games in the day for the family. The snack bar by the pool is very reasonable on price to eat and the portions massive. Overall will be staying here again as we found this hotel slighty more family friendly than the Hard Rock Hotel. Keep up the good work. 9.5 out of 10.

There are some positives to this hotel, mainly the proximity to the park entrances, however it is really showing its age. We were first assigned to a room on the second floor. When we walked in it was dark, dank, and had a stained carpet. Also it smelled like cat urine. We called the front desk and everyone was very accommodating and moved us to the 5th floor in another wing. They said that floors on the lower level are "pet friendly" and perhaps this was the reason for the smell. The hotel needs a facelift.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel as a birthday present to me. It is a lovely hotel. The bridge to the lobby has got to be one of the most beautiful views in all of Orlando, if not Florida. Every employee I talked with was more than accommodating and help to ensure everything we wanted was supplied, even if we didn't exactly know what it is we needed (as far as Universal Studios tickets and events). The rooms are nice, our faced the pool and canal(?) which was really nice especially since we were on the 5th floor.

Also, being able to get into the parks prior to their public opening is fantastic, mainly when visiting a more popular area like Harry Potter Land. It was a completely different scene when I went back midday and couldn't move in any of the shops as I was shoulder to waist with hundreds of kids.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with the pool view.

I booked this hotel as part of a Harry Potter promotion. Check in was a ridiculously long process made worse by understaffing at the front desk. After you finish that process, you are sent to the concierge to collect your package tickets and resort identification badge. The upsell attempts at the concierge reminded me of the one time share presentation I sat through in my lifetime. Lots or pressure to upgrade. The room was clean but small. No suites available so my family of 5 shared a double queen. The hotel had scheduled activities but we were unable to enjoy any of them as sign up is required and each time we tried (sometimes within minutes of list availability) the list was full. Transportation to the park was covenient and smart. Early entry to harry potter is the only way to enjoy it. Both are provided with the hotel booking.
The stay would have been average but for the check in/ check out process. The biggest issue I had, but have not applied to my rating, is the parking/valet fees associated with the stay. I would have much rather had them bundled into the package price than billed daily. It seemed like a slap in the face given the per day rate breakdown of the package price.

We enjoyed this pleasant resort for a weekend anniversary trip. The resort was quiet, lush, and had 5 star service. The proximity to Citywalk was great. The whole theme was very well done and the lobby area was amazing. The pool area offered set up of your chair, free current magazines, and fresh water with fruit in it.
