Rosen Centre Hotel

Stayed at the Rosen for a business conference and had a great experience. Food and service were outstanding. There were also a bunch of cheerleading families at the hotel who also seemed to be having a great time. Short walk to several restaurants and located right off the highway so easy access to other Orlando events.

We booked this hotel online and did not know the name of the hotel until we had paid for our room. We ended up staying 4 nights and had a great time. The location was very convenient and close to all the major parks and shopping. Being a little further from Disney, there were no kids running around the hotel, mostly business people attending events at the convention center. Staff was very nice and even gave us free parking for our stay there. The pool area was also very nice with lots of lounging chairs.

I always get this hotel on hotwire when i book. If something was going on at the convention center I dont think you could possibly ask for a better spot. I got it once to go to DIsney and another time to go on a girls trip. I got it yet another time to go to disney again. All times i got this hotel, the rooms are very underwhelming. the AC broke in my room one night @ 2am and after spending a whole day @ disney and my suitcase being totally unpacked i didn't want to go through the hassle of getting another room at 2am and packing up all my stuff. Whatever though, good value and it is nice that there are so many resturants and shops RIGHT INSIDE the hotel. If i was attending a convention, this hotel would be absolutely PERFECT.

We stayed for 6 nights at the Rosen Centre while at a convention this month and found it to be a very convient hotel to the convention hall. We did self parking and never had a problem finding a place to park, even tho it is very expensive if you have to pay for it yourself. They had a convient store/deli that was very handy and we used several times for a quick meal or snacks. They had pizza, ice cream and deli sandwiches along with all kinds of snacks.

There were 2 other sitdown restaurants and we ate at the cafe` on St Paddy's Day because we wanted Corned Beef and they had it. It was very good. But the rest of the time we felt it was a bit pricey considering all the good places along International Drive you could choose.

The rooms were nice and big and the beds were comfortable. My only complaint was they didn't clean the rooms early enough in the day for us. We would be gone from early morning and not returning until about 3 and at that time we wanted to take a rest break before going out in the evenings and our room was never cleanned that early. The last day I just finally refused room servicing and made the bed myself and got extra towels.

The staff was friendly and the hotel is very well kept and clean. If i was paying i would probably not choose the Rosen because they are very pricey but for convience to a convention..it was great.

Room Tip: There are plenty of elevators so it doesn't matter what floor you are on and the higher the floo...

Excellent experience! Close to attractions by distance however with traffic longer drive then listed. Cleanest bathrooms in my experience and I have traveled a lot. I would love to stay in the suites it would be a cool promotion if they offered surprise upgrades....the suites look amazing on their website. Really great service by all from check in to bell hop to restaurant staff!

First things first - I got a convention rate of $135/night for this hotel, and I can't imagine it being worth the $179/night that was the "normal" rate for the weekend I stayed. While it's got a decent location right on International Boulevard and attached to the convention center, if you're traveling to Orlando for anything other than a convention just don't bother with the Rosen Centre. Why?

- They charge for parking. I understand that this is likely because they are attached to the convention center, but I've stayed at literally dozens of hotels in the Orlando and Lake Buena Vista area and never had to pay for parking before.
- While comfortable and clean, the rooms are nothing special, especially for the price you're paying.
- Service-wise this hotel was just lacking. None of the employees were rude, per se, but they absolutely refused to allow any sort of early check-in - or even a pre-check-in.
- One day they didn't clean our room at all despite us having left it for the entire afternoon and evening (and despite my telling the housekeeper who showed up at 8:30 AM to please come back around noon).
- Sink water pressure was ridiculous. It was either off, or spraying all over the place it was so high. Caused quite a mess.
- Room temperature was maddening - no matter what temperature we put the a/c at the room was freezing cold if we had it on...but then if we turned it off the room got hot and stuffy. Normally I'd rather be warm than cold but the disparate temperatures were ridiculous.

The Rosen Plaza was quite a bit cheaper and also right next to the convention center...I wished I'd saved myself about $50 and just stayed there, because there was simply nothing special about the Rosen Centre that made it worth the extra cost.

The location of this hotel was fantastic and it had a lot of amenities. However, the fitness room was horrible and the wifi was a joke. The food court was great, but was not open all day. The rooms need to be updated and you can hear everything next door as well as in the hallway.
