Lake Eve Resort
Ranked #191 of 340 Hotels in Orlando
Reviewed February 16, 2010

We were at Lake Eve on weekend of 2/5/10 to take in a couple of days of Disney & the night shuttle launch. The hotel was great: the rooms were EXACTLY like the photos shown on their website; the layout was very much like most condos... very comfortable like home; plenty of towels, supplies, and closet space; the kitchen was clean, very new with granite counters. I was very surprised how nice the place was since we got a great deal on the price (grand total for 2 nights @ $210 for 2 bedrooms unit). Definitely a four-star resort. Free wifi in rooms, free parking, whirlpool in master bath. Unfortunately, we didn't get to try out the pool or fitness gym since it was quite cold and rainy that weekend. We stayed at Floridays (a hotel that's a few doors down the street) a couple months before & this place is definitely better. They offered shuttle to Epcot (for those without ride/don't want to drive) with 3 scheduled pickups in the mornings & 3 times in the evening return. Really enjoyed this place since it was nice & quiet even though it catered to families. We come to Orlando often and other places usually have too many sports/team/group booked where the noise level is quite loud at times. Definitely recommend.

This hotel is kind of off the beaten path which was nice. The rooms are spacious and well kept. We had the 2 bedroom and it was great for our family. Good internet connection and service. Parking was horrible. That is the one complaint that I have. The parking lot is too small and the valet parking is an option but for those of us that do not like to hand our keys over to a stranger or tip constantly this was not an option. Other than that the staff was efficient and friendly. The room was awesome and the view over the lake was very nice!

The rooms were great, clean, and spacious. The 24 hour fitness center is just two treadmills, an eliptical and stationary bike. No a/c, no TV or music. The restaurant's food stinks, the pizza was like cardboard. The breakfast buffet was ok, just take advantage of the 5$ prepay option. Save yourself some money and use the beatiful fully equipped kitchen in your room for eating, or dine outside of the hotel.

I have no wish to upset anyone but the English language with only three quarters of a million words occasionally forces comments to be a little too direct. The Japanese would have a single hieroglyph to humbly convey ‘The hotel is more than adequate but lacks any sense of grandeur’ but we are stuck with a harsh sentence.

The outlets shopping centre within walking distance of the Lake Eve Resort looked familiar, Coach, yawn, Nike, yawn, OshKosh B'Gosh , what!, I’ll have to look again. Wow. All of a sudden the problem is solved. If you can’t think of a word, make one up. All of a sudden, reviews can be concise and less confrontational. Instead of the buck passing and wordy ‘My wife thought the cleaning could be more thorough’, ‘cleaning B'Gosh’ say’s it all – and is so much more tactful – or perhaps in line with the i prefix (costly) and the e prefix (will go wrong periodically - as in email), let’s go for the b prefix (odd, disappointing or irritating in some way).

We hired a car from Sanford with iAlamo after an excellent flight with eThomson. The journey to the hotel is straightforward but have several dollars in spare coins for bTolls. Check in was quick and the good size two bedroom apartment, despite ePlumbing, was of a high standard. The high floor we were allocated had good views of the lake, other rooms and balconies and the bPool (Did the developers think that people don’t want sun all over them? or did they just site the hotel the wrong way round? This is probably one for bChilcot). You can also look down from the corridors on the more expansive amenities of the adjacent resorts.

The amenities (breakfast room/bar/restaurant, shop, games room, token gym) were functional and handy but small and unexceptional. This is Orlando and there is plenty to do, iDisney, iUniversal, SeaWorld but a tennis court would have been nice.

The location is quiet and a short drive to SeaWorld.

This hotel is probably amongst the best for value in Orlando for a decent 2 or 3 bedroom apartment assuming you get a good rate. Complimentary parking and internet access are big pluses, the daily resort fee a minus. It is more than adequate but less than special and not designed for sun bathers, sporting types or those keen on grandeur.

My family and I stayed here over the "Florida cold blast" of 2010. Even though the weather was cold every employee had a sense of humor and made us feel better about it, coming from minnesota the kids were still able to enjoy the heated pool and jacuzzi thanks to everyone our vacation a warm stay. Planning to return in April to enjoy the weather the way it should be. I highly recommend this hotel.

Lake Eve Resort is a fairly a new resort, the rooms are just fantastic we had a two bedroom with 2 bathrooms plenty of storage a nice full kitchen just what their web site calls for (believe it). We had a couple of minor problems but fixed immediatley. Room service is VERY good they are quick and concerned about there customers. We found this place with a great deal on priceline.com (what a great price) could not resist and do not regret. If there anyone out there looking for a place to stay you will definetly love this place.
