Having stayed there 2 years ago and enjoying family time there in the fabulous surroundings, it was my dream to go again this year. I went, it was just as magical and fantastic as I had remembered. Cannot praise enough the fabulous resort, the organization, the rooms, the complete ambience of the whole place. 100% recommendation could not fault. Want to go again and again and again!

We just moved to Florida & are about 45 minutes from Disney. My mom came to visit Disney for the first time, so we decided to be a little crazy and stay at a different moderate hotel for 3 nights in a row. We stayed 1st at Carribean, which we've been to before and love, then at French Quarter--also wonderful, and last at Coronado. Comparing Coronado to the other two resorts, immediately after staying at the other two, Coronado is our least favorite. Prices in food court much higher, especially with the gratuity. Arcade is smaller, kids didn't like as much. Is much bigger to get around, and the layout makes it feel much hotter than the other resorts, less trees, shade and shrubs. Rooms feel darker. It definately is the most "grown up" of the moderate, since it is mainly for conference crowds. The swimming pool is impressive, but concrete all around makes it feel extremely sweltering and it is quite a jaunt from main building and our building which was a cabana. The check in was much more chaotic than the other two, as I'm sure alot of the crowd was there for a conference so lines were long to register. It's a beautiful hotel, and employees seemed very friendly, but I think we were spoiled by the atmosphere of the other two hotels. Not an awful hotel by any means, but not our favorite.

We were very excited about staying at a Disney hotel for our 4 night stay this July but were disapointed by this resort.

The room we had smelled bad the whole time we were there and there were flies in the room. The cleaning staff does its best but there is mildew in the carpet and shower curtain. The place was noisy, 2 of the nights people were screaming and running till 3 am. The food was good but too expensive and the service was slow. We saw a couple of dead cockroaches on the ground.

The grounds are beautiful and well kept. The staff is extremely friendly and the extra hours/bus system made staying at a Disney resort a good choice but next time we will splurge and go for a deluxe or save and go to the All Star.

We went to this resort 2 years ago and loved it despite all the terrible reveiws that we had read. We decided to return this year, 2008. We have just returned today and the experience was so bad that I had to warn everyone as we got home.

It started off with room 1! As I was walking to the door and I saw the dirt stains on the door I started to feel a sense of foreboding. Little did I know that this was only the beggining of the horror that was coronado springs resort.

When we walked into the room we noticed that it had a funny smell to it. We decided to turn on the fan and ignore it but then we went into the bathroom and there were BLACK STAINS in the tub. We called the front desk and an hour later they gave us a new room. The new room had a nice view of the pool. However when we went into the bathroom the tub had a RED RING around it and the curtains were covered with MOLD!!!!!!!!!!! Stains covered the wall. So we walked all the way from the ranchos to el centro (which is a very long walk!), to the front desk. We were giving a new room....again. When walked in house keeping had just finish cleaning however she looked nervous. We into the the bathroom and saw hair in the tub. We told the woman and she put water in the tub. When she left ,it was still hair in the tub. Tired, we went to get in the bed, pulled the covers back and saw BROWN STAINS and HAIR in the BED!!!! We called front desk and ask for the manager. Stains was also on the wall. We were reinbursed for ONE night and sent someone better to clean the room. We noticed that the next day housekeeping gave us an evil eye and stop giving us complimentary soap, etc.

Then we went to the pepper market. To make a long story short: 1.Half the staff wasnt wearing gloves 2.Other half worked with raw meats and still worked with other peoples food even with the gloves on 3. They acted like they didnt want to be there not at all like the cheerful cast in the theme parks. 4. It was unclean 5. They were going to charge us full price for a meal without the things that THEY didnt have.

Overall, it was a horrible experience. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER!!!! STAY AT THIS RESORT.

We stayed here for 2 weeks and loved it. We spent the mornings in the parks and often came back to the resort for lunch. We were on Disney Dining, was a brilliant offer.
We spent the afternoons in the small quiet pool near our room, found the big one too busy and noisy. The smaller pool had been warmed by the blazing sun and so was really wonderful!
The laundrette service was fantastic and food absolutely brilliant.
Yes you could moan the resort was big, so you had to walk a little but it depends on what you are like, there was golf carts continuously going round offering you lifts to wherever you wanted. Don't do Disney magical express our cases arrived at midnight, we had to stay up when we were exhausted waiting! Not just us, many others we spoke to said they's had the same. Just take them with you on the bus- SO much easier!
There are bus stations all round the resort, so I really do not see why walking is such an issue. The buses are so easy and at most you wait 20 minutes. Coronado rooms were spacious, basic but cleaned well and tasteful. The resort is not OTT Disney, there is a huge conference centre there so the restaurant can get busy.
We had a great time and would reccomend it to anyoen
