This was our first time staying at Port Orleans French Quarter. We chose it for something different and were not disappointed. Every part of the resort has that little something that makes it Disney.
We had a rental car and there was never a problem with parking (we usually found a shady spot, which is perfect in that hot Florida sunshine). Never a far walk to our room.
The grounds are really pretty, relaxing and not crowded - which is exactly what you want when you're taking a break from the crowds at the parks. Even the wonderful pool never felt crowded. My kids loved the water slide and it was easy to entice them back to the hotel with a promise of a swim.
Staff was friendly and helpful. The whole place just has a good vibe to it. The only party I did not love was the food-court food, but I expected that going in - so it wasn't actually a disappointment. We really enjoyed strolling over to Riverside to eat there (more options) and then take the boat back (look for the ones with the yellow flags - the others don't stop at French Quarter).
We would definitely stay here again (the kids are already asking!)More
