Nice room with perfect view of waterfront. The rooms were well serviced and there was always more than enough personal amenities available. Service was great and grounds well maintained. Staff was always available to provide services.

Disney's Port Orleans French Quarter is a great place to stay - if you're intent on just "doing" Disney. The hotel itself is great. Very clean, tidy and staff are incredibly friendly, just as you'd expect from Disney.
Room was a nice size, a bit dark, would benefit from brighter and/or better positioned lights. The bathroom, inparticular seemed very dark. The housekeeping staff were lovely, we came back to towel animals on more than one occasion. Excellent, comfy beds!
The hotel grounds are lovely and the resort is big enough to feel quiet but small enough so you weren't walking miles to get anywhere. Plenty of car parking space too.
We had the Quick service dining plan, but the restaurant was a terrible bun fight, everyone jostling for drinks and food etc. We found the earlier the better as far as meal times were concerned.
All in all a great hotel but I wouldn't stay on Disney property again merely because I felt away from it all not because there was fault with the hotel. Back to International Drive for me.

We stayed here, spur-of-the-moment and used our Florida Residency and got great rates. Lovely place, got that "resort" feeling and didn't break the bank. It had been five years since we stayed at a Disney property and now I realized what we have been missing!

This place was super clean, well run and the employees are friendly and efficient!

Loved the location as well. We've been wanting to try all the resorts Disney has to offer but it will be hard to stay anywhere else as we so enjoyed this resort.

The only less than perfect aspect is that the beds are hard.

This place has it all!

Pros: outdoor play area, great pool n bar, accommodating staff, easy & free transport to parks, horse drawn carriage rides on grounds, boat to downtown disney, nightly movies on lawn, great quality food in cafe, large game room, airport baggage check in at hotel before departure, personal greeter at the door to check you in!

Few cons: no home office area (public computer/printer), overpriced food/drink in cafe, small rooms, no seating for exhausted moms & dads in game room.

Overall, we would def return!!

This moderate Disney hotel is very well situated inside WDW property (that’s why we originally chose it). That means you get the little extras like the magic bands (a consolidation of your room key, park access card, fastpass+ and your credit card), and the extra magic hours in the parks. Apart from that, you’ll want to stay out of this hotel a maximum amount of your time!

Check in was really long for the number of guests waiting (3). Front desk people are all nice and smiling, but not very efficient. Even though I had done advance check-in online, it took me a good 15 minutes to check in. Another time when I wanted to add an extra park day to my tickets, the person first asked for my park tickets, then all my magic bands, then even my email… to finally fail the request and tell me I should go do it at the guest relations at the entrance of a park! Why don’t they tell me directly that they can’t do it and stop wasting both our precious time?

The room itself was clean and spacious. But for a “Disney Hotel”, I expected more than cleanliness. There was absolutely nothing Disney in there (apart of Disney channel on TV). The bathroom was horribly insulated, the toilet flush made as much noise as a jet thruster, and you could hear all your neighbors’ flushes and showers.

The worst part was the food court. Maybe if it was called Junk Food Court, I would have been less surprised… I did manage to buy a banana, just to get a fruit. Otherwise expect only greasy and sugary stuff. Also, don’t fall for the “Rapid Fill” mugs on the first day (as we did). You can only refill them in the food courts of the resorts, not in the parks themselves. By the time we found out how horrible the food was, it was too late.

If you’re thinking of going there with young kids, I would re-think my plans. There are no Disney characters, no Disney themes, no “Disney Magic"; only a Disney gift shop. And if you’re stuck here without a car, you’ll be stuck to eat junk food; beware!

Room Tip: All rooms are about equivalent, except for the view. We had a "garden" view, but didn'...

Two nights at Disney .....a gift from our adult children. We took them as kids and now they sent us. Loved this hotel, loved the convenience and ambience of Disney. The staff was personable and very customer focused. We rode the water taxi to downtown Disney for dinner and it was a delightful ride. We walked along the river to Port Orleans Riverside, went fishing with a cane pole, had a lovely meal at Boatrights and were charmed watching the horse drawn carriages. Took the Disney bus to Epcot and never had to hassle with parking. So, so, so, convenient and loved the Disney touches. Would definately stay at one of the Disney hotels at the park again. It would be tempting to try another hotel, but we liked this one so well, we'll likely just rebook here,

Room Tip: Pay for a river view!

We met our daughter, son-in-law, and two grandchildren at Disney World for a 3 day visit during thieir Fall Break in early October. My husband and I had not been there in 30 years! What a change. There are more parks to visit and so many more resorts. This is a very busy place! We enjoyed our stay at the Port Orleans Resort-French Quarter very much. The room was very clean and quite spacious. My only complaint is that we were located too far from the Main Building where we would have to walk to get coffee, etc, each morning. There was a refrigerator in our room which we requested to keep water, etc. but no coffeemaker. The grounds were set up as if you were actually in a New Orleans neighborhood with separate buildings spread out in various directions down little lanes with gaslights and walkways landscaped very nicely, Each building was painted in a different color with the trademark wrought iron railings and shutters. Very tastefully done. Only complaint again, was the walk to the Main building where food, bar, etc. were located. The enchantment of Disney World still hasn't changed, it's just on a much larger scale.
