“So worth it”

Two nights at Disney .....a gift from our adult children. We took them as kids and now they sent us. Loved this hotel, loved the convenience and ambience of Disney. The staff was personable and very customer focused. We rode the water taxi to downtown Disney for dinner and it was a delightful ride. We walked along the river to Port Orleans Riverside, went fishing with a cane pole, had a lovely meal at Boatrights and were charmed watching the horse drawn carriages. Took the Disney bus to Epcot and never had to hassle with parking. So, so, so, convenient and loved the Disney touches. Would definately stay at one of the Disney hotels at the park again. It would be tempting to try another hotel, but we liked this one so well, we'll likely just rebook here,

Room Tip: Pay for a river view!

We met our daughter, son-in-law, and two grandchildren at Disney World for a 3 day visit during thieir Fall Break in early October. My husband and I had not been there in 30 years! What a change. There are more parks to visit and so many more resorts. This is a very busy place! We enjoyed our stay at the Port Orleans Resort-French Quarter very much. The room was very clean and quite spacious. My only complaint is that we were located too far from the Main Building where we would have to walk to get coffee, etc, each morning. There was a refrigerator in our room which we requested to keep water, etc. but no coffeemaker. The grounds were set up as if you were actually in a New Orleans neighborhood with separate buildings spread out in various directions down little lanes with gaslights and walkways landscaped very nicely, Each building was painted in a different color with the trademark wrought iron railings and shutters. Very tastefully done. Only complaint again, was the walk to the Main building where food, bar, etc. were located. The enchantment of Disney World still hasn't changed, it's just on a much larger scale.

We stayed here with my daughter, son in law and our two grandchildren and were blown away by this hotel. The rooms were comfy, clean and spacious. Our family enjoyed inter-connecting rooms which when both doors were closed you couldn't hear each other. We were in block one and it was so quiet and peaceful with a beautiful outlook over the river. Although just a two minute walk to main reception, bar and restaurant areas. The staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Would thoroughly recommend this lovely hotel to anyone wanting a not too expensive Disney hotel when visiting the happiest place on Earth!

My family of four stayed here in October. The room was average in size but the bathroom was tiny. It was not cleaned to a very high standard, even my husband noticed and he is definately not a clean freak! We found previous occupants socks and sweets by the bed. However the rest of the hotel is cleaned to a very high standard. All the staff we met were extremely helpful and friendly. The restaurant was a disappointment, just not enough choice for the size of the hotel and what we did try didnt impress us. The pool is fantastic with towels provided. The boat to downtown disney is also great. The buses were very regular and we had no complaints at all with them. Overall it was a great holiday but we probably wouldn't stay here again. That's not to say we don't recommend it, just that I need to be fully impressed to stay in the same hotel twice! By the way the beds are extremely comfortable and we heard little outside noise on the top floor.

This was our first trip to Disney and we also had two of our grand kids with us. The hotel area was wonderful. The staff was amazing and we're very helpful. The kids had a great time at the pool.there was an arcade there. The scenery of the waterway was breathtaking and it was fun to take a boat to the Disney attractions. The room itself was very clean. The restaurant at the hotel had good food for both adults and children. The only downside of our stay was the room was a little too small for two adults and two preteens, however, we were at Disney and we're not in the room much. We will stay there again next time we do Disney

Room Tip: Enjoyed having a room facing the river

From the moment we walked onto the hotel grounds after arriving on the very convenient Disney Magical Express, we were enchanted with the Disney Port Orleans French Quarter. You feel like you are walking through the pleasantest part of New Orleans. Everyone on the staff was super friendly and helpful -- from the cashiers in the food court to the concierge to the bellmen. The room was clean and spacious, although we could have used more drawer space. I was surprised to find that the hotel itself offered recreational activities (nightly movies, games at the pool, carriage rides) when there is so much to do at Disney. The food court was terrific, and we found that we were able to purchase very tasty and reasonably-priced meals there at all hours of the day.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking one of the pretty gardens or the river.

Just got back from an absolutely amazing holiday. Couldn't fault the accommodation at all. It was spotlessly clean (and I have OCD and a germ phobia) everyone was polite and helpful, the beds were ridiculously comfortable... In fact I haven't slept so well in about a year and we've even bought a similar mattress for back home!

Special mention to Zak on reception, who was a delight to check in with after a whole day travelling. He was so nice and friendly - it made us feel so welcome and comfortable. Housekeeping was fantastic. We had no issues with them throwing anything away, and Juana who cleaned our room even made us a little towel display on Halloween. Every day it was spotless and we couldn't have asked for more.

The food was great too - the pizzas were delicious and I thought there was a wide variety for breakfast. Kristen in the food court was friendly and helpful, and remembered us every time she served us. The refillable mugs were so useful and the Mickey waffles and pancakes were scrummy!

We booked through Disney and the Magical Express saved us a lot of money transferring us from and to the airport. The buses to the parks were regular and always air conditioned with friendly drivers, who would wait for you if they could see you running! The boat trip to Downtown Disney was so relaxing my partner and I nearly fell asleep!

As I mentioned - the comfiest beds ever. I had seven nights interrupted sleep, which for me is a miracle as neither myself nor my partner sleep well. The air conditioning in the room made it extremely comfortable.

We didn't use the pool area, but we did listen to some jazz saxophone in the bar on our first night and he was AMAZING! Playing modern songs in jazz style!

Needless to say we would both definitely stay again, and would recommend to anyone! A truly magical holiday!
