“location! everything!”
Reviewed April 10, 2013

i have stayed here multiple times with my mom, and loved it every time! the food is pretty good, not excellent, and everything is top notch and luxury! i love how it's so close to the park, and after a late day, you can just hop on the boat(or quick subway/transporter and go back and crash without having to take a huge journey to get back to your hotel. it is by far the best hotel Disney has to offer, but it still quite comparable to the Polynesian Resort. the main difference between the two is location, and style. the polynesian is more hawaiin, as i have stayed there. all the food at the grand floridian is exquisite, and scrumptious. YUM! i already want to go back. over all it was a great trip and i can not wait to go backkk

Stayed in a club room-Sugarloaf building. Very nice, fairly spacious rooms. We found the rooms to be quite, even with people coming and going down the hall. This club area has its own concierge, and we found them to be very helpful. Not sure if it was our odd schedule, but we never seemd to hit the food/beverage times. The staff was always willing to provide a beer or wine, even if it wasn't out. We liked the location alot-1 monorail stop to Magic Kingdom, One stop on the boat coming back.

This hotel is so gorgeous. The pools are great and the monorail is convenient. You can even see the castle and Space Mountain from the pool! A highlight was the refillable mugs and the self serve ice cream.Service was good and I completely enjoyed my stay.

We were checking in at Port Orleans-Riverside when we were advised we were being upgraded to a deluxe resort; The Grand Floridian. We have stayed at deluxe resorts in the past but being that this was Easter/Spring Break week we couldn't swing the inflated prices. Well, we got a surprise! The Grand Floridian is Disney's top hotel, hands down. But it is not cheap. It was an awesome place. Rooms are beautiful, our son loved watching the monorail go by iur window. Service is impeccable, grounds are amazing. You can see Cinderella's castle and the nighty fireworks right from the grounds. Self-parking is very far away across the street but here's a tip we found. If you are self-parking park in the Convention Center parking lot. It is so much closer than the self-park and you won't have to pay the daily $15.00 charge for valet. The pools are all open after a recent rehab. We ate most of our meals at the poolside restaurant(by kiddie pool) and at the Gasparilla Cafe. Both were modestly priced and had very good food. The other property restaurants are pricey but give them a look if you have the money. You will love it here. Don't forget to hang out in the lobby and take everything in. We had our two young children with us and never felt out of place.

This Hotel was fantastic in every way possible. You can get pampered, wined and dinned and entertained-top notch all the way! Never had a better message and spa experience ever, Grand Floridian sure knows how to pamper you. The restaurants in the Hotel are also top notch. I never stayed at a Hotel that you were treated as royalty in every way possible.

Room Tip: Higher floors have better viewing for the nightly fireworks which are breath taking.

This is the premier location in Walt Disney World. The restaurants are terrific and the rooms are great. Request a room overlooking the lake. Going to a Disneyland by boat from the hotel dock is fun. The monorail also stops at the hotel.

The service was amazing questions always answered and reservations easily made.
The only thing was that we had four of us and there really is not enough storage space for clothes.
The cafe is amazing and Gasparella's has all the necessities.
The boat from MK was always quick and efficient.

Room Tip: Boca Chica Lake view is great especially if you love to watch the fireworks before bed
