Just got back from the Wilderness Lodge and have to say we had a wonderful time. I read alot before I went and yes the rooms are smaller than Port Orleans, but the atmosphere was fantastic! We stayted in room 2110 and were close to everything.. the lobby, the pool, the store and even the buses.. I loved that you could hope on a boat and be at Magic Kingdom's gates.. no other transportation to take but your own two feet.. that was great. We also visted Fort Wilderness which was only a boat ride away. I have to say that this hotel has been one of the best that I have visited... there was only a couple things wrong.. there was just a bit of wall paper coming off (hardly noticeable) and one of the sinks were not working, but was fixed upon request. My 7 yr old want to go back to the Wilderness Lodge Next time and I agree!!

Beautiful Hotel, great view. Dining options were not as good though. One restuarant closed for awhile in between meals which meant you had to eat pizza or hot dogs, etc. at the fast food place. Room service shut down also during day! Nothing to eat for my son who stayed at the room because of illness! For the prices they charge they should offer better than that. Probably won't go back.

We stayed 2 nights at the Wilderness Lodge from Feb 26-28th. It is definitely beautiful inside. The rooms were pretty small but I was prepared after reading the reviews. The bunk beds were worth it because the kids just loved it! There are many little nooks inside the hotel which we found while exploring on a cold day. Very warm and cozy with sofas and fireplaces on each floor. We didn't wait around for the bus because it was so chilly but couldn't quite figure out how to drive over to Magic Kingdom because we were already inside. Very confusing. I would suggest taking the bus or boat. The pool area is beautiful and the water is warm. We ate at the restaurant the first night but it was so loud and expensive. Wouldn't do it again. Lots of things for the kids to do though. The snack bar/restaurant was the way to go. The food was really good and reasonable. The kids loved the french toast sticks and my husband and I were happy with the breakfast sandwiches they offered. Lot's of choices. We would definitely stay here again.

Disney does it again. Takes you into another world....this time into a real lodge. Just like if you were up north and not in florida. I was blown away by the lobby which is HUGE. The decor inside and out. The pool area is also nice...but the rooms,WOW. The space in each room is great. The decor is again...very Lodge type. Your only a small boat ride to the Magic Kigndom or take a bus to any of the other parks. Food is great. They have a 24 hour cafe with GREAT and very cheap foods. Chicken fingers, hot dogs, deli sandwiches, and other fast foods which taste great after a long day at a park. Service is perfect and all employees (aka cast members) treat you as a special guest! Worth the money to stay....all views again are fantastic.

Six of us stayed at the WL in October in two rooms. The rooms are very nice, though small. They are certainly well kept and had a small balcony. The hotel is lovely, especially the lobby. Due to the size of the lobby it can be a bit loud if there are many guests. The grounds were very nice also. My main complaint was with transportation. Boat transportation to and from the Magic Kingdom was very difficult and took FOREVER. Luckily we had a rental car! I found this hotel to be too remote. They need a walking path to the Contemporary so people don't have to line up for the slow ferries. I've been to Disney 20 times and always stay on property, but probably wouldn't stay here again due to the remoteness.

We have stayed in many Disney hotels and Wilderness Lodge was great overall. Last week of January, we had a 1 bedroom suite which was clean. The lobby is one of the best they have. If you have small kids, take them to the Whispeing Canyon to eat - good food good time. Very quiet - you don't feel like you are 100 yards from the castle. The best was the nightly electric parade on the lake. Nice family place.

I stayed at the Wilderness Lodge, and it was an absolutely wonderful expierience! The staff was very nice, the hotel was beautiful, the room was great; it was an all around great time. It is so close to Disney, unlike some of the other hotels. The view was amazing from the dock, it looked like you were in another state. I highly recommend staying at the Wilderness Lodge!!
