Stayed at Disney's Wilderness Lodge Aug. 10th to the 17th 2013.
Have stayed there before and always had a great time. This trip was no exception. Great rooms and great service. The atmosphere is laid back and relaxed. Spent more money but it was worth it. this hotel is very close to Magic Kingdom (can go by boat). Make sure to get the Disney dining plan. It is well worth it,especially if you are going to do character dining with the kiddos.

The family had a great time at The Wilderness Lodge. Fantastic Lobby and Waterfall/Pool complex. The staff was friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean and well kept. The boat to the Magic Kingdom is great and the location of the resort is an easy commute to other attractions.

My only complaint would be the quick service dinning option (The Roaring Fork). The food was fine, but the space is too small to accommodate the breakfast and lunch rush. The traffic flow during these busy times is a real headache.

Overall, a great resort. Also, take the time to enjoy the pool and the other activities offered at the hotel (Movies each evening by the lake, marshmallow roast, etc.) Not enough time to do it all.

We started our vacation here this july 2013 for four nights. Great welcome. Fab door staff and the foyer on impact is absolutely breathtaking. Has to be seen to be believed. Front desk staff were super friendly and effecient and your room key can be used as your credit card within the hotel up to $1500 which was very convenient. Rooms were a little dark and I felt the bathrooms were a little old world looking but perhaps it was in keeping with the wilderness theme. My preference is for lighter and brighter. Otherwise the rooms are clean with fridge coffee etc. To my little girls delight the room staff left little animals etc. On her bed made from hotel towels and face clthes. Very cute. Hotel well serviced with restaurants bar other smaller eateries. Gorgeous looking pool but five life guards on a day was overkill and a little over chlorinated. Nice man made beach. Fun little speed boats to hire. Worth it.Whispers restaurant is far from whispering. Loud theatrical and drove me crazy but I was jetlagged and the deliberate shouting from servers was too much for me. Good disney hotel and eady access to parks. Grest hotel for children and families too.
