We had an amazing 2nd week in Orlando staying at the Beach Club Resort. We booked through an online website for £1800 for 5 adults including free Disney Dining Plan.
The room was very clean and we were sited on the 2nd floor, which included a full balcony. We did overlook the back over some rooftops, but as we didn't spend much time in the room, was not a problem. The room was located directly above the Marketplace, but was very quiet.
The room was nicely decorated and the beds very comfortable. The kids loved the pool area and made the most of it. Would definitely recommend staying here, especially on the dining plan. I added up the cost of all the food and taxes etc. and we saved £1450 ( so in effect cost only £350 for the room). We ate at some really nice restaurants and gave us many "firsts" despite this being our 8th time to Orlando, was our 1st time onsite. It gave us a very good opinion of staying onsite, but then it is classed as a deluxe, so anything less may not be to our taste.
We didn't make any requests for our room, but they did know it was our anniversary. Room number was 2616 - and was literally just up a few stairs and down the corridor 50 feet, so very close to main reception and foyer.
Epcot was just a 5 minute walk and we walked to/from Hollywood studios in 20 minutes and was a very pleasant walk.

While we have been to Disney nearly twice yearly for the past twenty years, we had not yet stayed at the Beach Club Resort. Our hopes were high .... apparently, too high. Our traveling party of 7 (4 adults, 3 kids) had very cramped living space in our suite. There was no sleeper sofa, no third bathroom, no real kitchen area, and you are a very long walk & elevator ride away from the concierge level (where the Stone Harbor Club is). Additionally, the Harbor Club is closed almost all the time. When they do open their doors, don't expect much-- a jar of trail mix, a jar of juju fish, and some pretzels. By far, this is the worst concierge service going in Disney property.
Also, the wifi is non functional.
Save your money and stay at a better Disney resort, such as the Contemporary or Grand Floridian.

Location was our prime concern because of the use of an electric scooter. The hotel room with its walk in shower and bench, the buses, boats, and mono-rail made getting around from park to park
very handicap friendly.Being with my grand children and family of 12 the Beach Club Resort was the best choice if we as a group wanted to get in as much as we could in one week.Without the concierge and all their help our trip would not have been magical.Value wise we could have gone cheaper but Grandpa and Grand children wold have missed a lot together.

Room Tip: Rooms close to the elevators have plugs in the hallway for scooters. You don't have clutter your room.

excellent location. Walking to boardwalk and epcot are very nice. One complaint was that we added quick service dining. Typically, other Disney resorts have a great quick service option for breakfast and this does not at all. Wasted the dining plan. Pool was great. Rooms are very nice but not Disney-ish if you are looking for that.

Just got back from six nights at Beach Club. Overall, we loved the place. We had three adults and two kids in our room. I was worried that it would be cramped, but we had plenty of room. There were two comfortable queens and a pullout futon-like sofa.

Service in this hotel was truly top-notch. Nearly everyone I came in contact with was incredibly pleasant and helpful. We took the Disney Magical Express from the airport to the hotel and that was a real treat. Not having to touch our luggage was great. Check in was a snap. There was someone waiting for us at the front door and we checked in in about five or ten minutes. We'd requested a pool/lagoon view and got just that. I mentioned that I would like a balcony, as we have a 3 and 5 year old so I thought it would be nice to sit outside at night and have a beer as the kids slept. Not so. Although we got a balcony, It was about 3 square feet. Not even room for a stool, let alone a chair. Oh well.

As I mentioned earlier, everyone was insanely friendly and helpful.......except for the housekeeping staff I came face to face with. In the hallways they avoided eye contact and were generally surly appearing. Anyway, we'd leave our room in the morning between 8 and 9 and spend several hours in the parks. We'd return around 2 or 3 and the room wouldn't be made up. Then they'd get cranky in the afternoon if we were in our rooms. Once we had to call to have the room made up in the early evening. There's no tag to hang on your door (other than the privacy one) to let the maids know you're ready to be serviced. So after two or three days of this I'd just call housekeeping every morning and let them know that we were leaving AND we wanted our room serviced sooner rather than later.

Other than that, the room was great. Although the more I think of it the shower head was a bit stingy with the water.

There was a gift shop off the lobby where you could get anything from a six pack of beer to a cup of coffee to a fried egg sandwich to a Mickey Mouse set of swimming goggles. The staff was great and very helpful with the meal plan choices.

We used the Disney Meal Plan but ate no real meals at the hotel, so I don't have much to say about foodservice. The egg sandwich I ate one day was great and the desserts in the "snack" section of the fridge were fabulous. One night I went for a few beers at the bar over at Yacht Club (which is attached). The bar was cozy enough and the service was great. We got ice cream one night at Beaches and Cream and it was okay. It was late and the place was just destroyed.

The best things about this place are the pool and the location. The pool is massive. My kids loved it and so did I. We loved the kiddy pool with the small slide and we all loved the big water slide as well. The water was warm and the lifeguards were very friendly. Typical in a large place like this there were not a lot of loungers available. It was odd, because about one actual person to every five "occupied" chairs. Most chairs were occupied with a towel and nothing else. I'm surprised that Disney doesn't send someone around to police up the empty towel chairs. The water slide was a blast. Sometimes the line was a little long and sometimes there was no line at all. Even when the line was down to the bottom of the stairs, it only took a few minutes.

We loved the location. We could walk to Epcot in 5 minutes. We could walk around the lake to the Boardwalk Hotel and get a beer at night and enjoy the views. We could hop a boat to Hollywood Studios, and we could take a bus anywhere.

There were a few issues to report, but they were minor inconveniences. One day the fountain soda in the gift shop didn't work. One day the ice at Hurricane Hattie's (pool bar and cafe) didn't work. For two or three days about half the coolers in the gift shop didn't work, so I don't know what you'd do if you wanted a bottle of soda or a single beer. Minor issues, but a pain nonetheless.

Honestly, I could poke holes in the place all day....but we had a great time. I'd stay again in a heartbeat.
