“Nice Property”
Reviewed July 15, 2013

This was our 1st time staying at a Disney hotel property. This hotel was a 4 minute walk to Epcot. That was really nice considering the amount of time you have to wait for shuttle transportation to the other parks. This property also had water around it so you could take a water shuttle across to the boardwalk or to Epcot. Every night we were there, (July 5-9th) Epcot had a firework show that you could watch from the bridge behind the property (which connects to Epcot) or from the boardwalk which was across the water behind the property. The pool is nice with a lazy river. The kids area pool is HUGE. If you have little ones, they will love the kiddie pool for sure. We upgraded to the club level & had the meal plan. Be prepared to be served really bad food if you do any of the buffets at Magic Kingdom. The restaurants located at the hotel where really good. Splurge & eat at the steak house (Yachtman). Our room was pretty big with 2 small balconies (not big enough for a chair) with nice views of the pool & water. The service was spot on & over all it was an enjoyable stay.

Room Tip: This is Disney so it is a very expensive trip. We did upgrade to a larger room which gave us a lot o...

The resort is amazing. My kids loved being greeted by their names upon arrival and never wanted to leave the pool. We splurged for club level which included continental breakfast in am, snacks all day, appetizers in afternoon and desserts and cordials in evening. Well worth it- they even offer bottles of water for room and parks. They also let you borrow DVDs and if you are fortunate to have a room facing Epcot you can see the tops of the fireworks at night (we watched from a window in the hall). The pool is clean, big and it had something for everyone. it is nice being a 5 min walk to Epcot. They only downside is if you want to get to magic kingdom you have to take bus which can be a bit of a wait or walk through Epcot to monorail. This walk was a bit long on little legs. We used out car for those parks and it worked out great!

We arrived at Disney Beach club and were made very welcome straight away. Check in was quite long and jet lag was setting in but we got through it..They made extra effort with my two young children and despite the lack of communication from my girls, they carried on talking to them regardless ..
We are a family of five so we requested a room with two queens and a sofa bed and this was what we got. Room was nice, clean, plenty of wardrobe and drawer space for five of us..beds were very comfortable and pillows were great. Room and bathroom probably would need refurbishing in the next couple of years as starting to wear and tear..rust in the hinges of the bathroom and wallpaper wearing thin..it's certainly nothing to be put off by and still looks a lovely room.
Towels are changed whenever you need them to be by putting them into the bath, I wouldn't have done this so often but the used towels wouldn't dry in the bathroom and no heated towel rail, so had to put the wet towels in the bath as they would have been wet the next day..
Plenty of free soaps and flannels.. Don't forget it's recommended to tip the maid service a dollar a day and this can be left inside a little card that they leave in the room..
The hotel pool is amazing for the kids..it has one pool area with sand like a mini beach and the kids can play in pool water with their buckets and spades..there is also a water slide for the kids which gets very busy and they can queue for a while.. There is also a lazy river which gets very deep in parts around 8ft..but life jackets for non swimmers are provided free of charge..
There is a lack of shade around the pool and nearly all sun loungers are in the sun..no parasols apart from where the table and chairs are to eat..there are a few areas where you can get sun lounger under trees.. The pool, opens at 10am which seems quite late to me..
The only downside to the hotel really is the food..if you are on the Disney plan, the breakfast is pants!! For a quick service meal, the market place has limited choice and not very nice..on the other hand if you wanted to use a table service option the cape Mai cafe is great for breakfast.. We did this twice but didn't want to use all out TS options for breakfast..so we bought frosties as a snack option and used the free milk from the market place..for those not familiar with the disney plan, after a few days you will be an expert..
Epcot is 10 minute walk, great, the boardwalk is opposite the hotel, and all good links to all the other parks using the free bus services..
We would definitely come here again..

Room Tip: For larger families this hotel accommodates five (we had 3 adults and two children) really well in o...

Our purpose in booking this hotel was for the location. We wanted to be able to walk back from Epoct after the July 4th fireworks. This is our fourth July 4th Disney trip, and we know how crazy the crowds, transportation, and traffic can be. We made the right choice in this regard.

First of all, the decor just wasn't "us'. That is not the hotel's fault, but it was just not our thing.

Our check in wasn't all that great, not leaving a very good first impression. We arrived at 2:30 am on July 4th. The girl checking us in was pleasant enough - but......... We walked the three miles (OK, I'm exaggerating just a little) to our room only to find out our key wasn't working. We walked ALL the way back to the front desk to find out she transposed the room number. Hey, it happens ( but did I mention it was 2:30am?). Not impressed, but understandable. We trekked back and once we had the right room, it worked. She also had problems entering our CC number to get it to work. The next day we tried using our room key to make a purchase at Epcot and it was denied because of a limit. Back at the front desk they were able to correct the mistake made at check in-she had entered a zero purchase limit. We never bothered trying to use it again, and just used our CC.

The room is a basic hotel room, but it was nice. We forget to ask for a King, so got two queens. It was kind of nice to have the extra bed to throw things on. I thought the storage area was great. There was a decent size dresser, along with another tall dresser. The vanity area also was designed well, offering two sinks, a shelf, and under shelving.

We were on the first floor and just next to a "quiet' pool. We don't have kids, so appreciated this. We were able to take advantage of the pool one night (they close at 11pm).

We found the hotel to be very clean, very well maintained. We didn't have enough time to explore the hotel and use it's amentities, unfortunately. However, it just wasn't our style. We are more on the "contemporary" style and preferred our recent stay at Dolphin more. I have to say, if you are looking for a Disney property, you really can't go wrong with the location of the Beach Club. We did enjoy the hotel transfers and the location, but don't know that we would return. We are able to do properties in the HIlton family (especially love the Waldorf) for free thanks to hubby's contstant travel away from home, so we would probably go that route again.

We did not encounter any negative issues. Just the opposite.

We love the location as it is an easy walk to Epcot where we often eat dinner. Transportation is great to all other Disney parks.

The pool is the best!!! Our tired feet love the sand-bottomed pool- relaxation at its finest!! There is a large shallow sandy area for those families with small children. We usually relax each afternoon at the pool (after spending the am in the Disney parks) and return to the Disney parks in late afternoon.

The hotel rooms are just standard hotel rooms but it does have a double sink located outside the bathroom. That really helps for multiple people getting ready in the morning. We returned to our room each day to find multiple clever folding of towels around the room.

This trip we were upgraded to the Club Level and now we are totally spoiled. This place holds many happy memories for our family- we can't wait to go back!!

Room Tip: Any room is fine. We spend very little time in the room.

we have been down to disney many years and through some discounts wanted to try the beach club for our 25th wedding anniversary. for the price we paid, the beach club is just another hotel. if you wanted something extra, you paid for it. we had the club level and although there was some small food throughout the day, for the price it wasn't worth it. the area for this service was very small and couldn't accommodate the amount of guests on the floor. everything thing was clean and although we had no problems, for the price, it was just another area of the disney experience that was triple the price of what it was worth.

Room Tip: for your money, choose a moderate resort like the french quarters. it is a smaller property and less...

Well, I have read negative and positive reviews of this resort, but my family LOVED this place! The location (outside of EPCOT) is outstanding!! Less than 5 minute walk away, especially from our room overlooking the quiet pool which is nearer to the EPCOT back entrance. The staff was great....our mousekeeper kept our room spotless. We were in Room 4555, water view, 2 queen beds, balcony with 2 chairs/table. Location near an elevator with a quick entrance to the quiet pool area (with hottub). We quickly learned shortcuts around the resort because it is huge. But we would stay here again whenever it is in our budget. This is a pricey place for us.....one of Disney's deluxe resorts. Great boat service to other hotels and to Hollywood Studios. So nice after 4th of July fireworks/Illuminations to WALK back to our resort and not have to ride a bus or drive back!! We loved that we could eat at Beaches and Cream...one of our favorites-delicious hamburgers and ice cream concoctions located at Beach Club. The only negative for us was the inside quick service. Food looked fine, but not very appealing to us. Hurricane Hanna's at Storm- a- long Bay had better choices for our family. Of course, Storm- a- long Bay is GREAT!! A water park experience. Had to show room key and wear wristband to gain entrance. FUN place for kids and adults...lazy river, water slide, etc etc. Rooms were very nice. Clean, comfortable, beachy furnishings. Plenty of space for clothing. Bathroom had commode/tub separate from a 2-sink vanity with ample storage space. Would be glad to answer any questions about our stay.....can't say enough how much we enjoyed this place!!!

Room Tip: Ask to be on Epcot side of resort! (quiet pool located here, instead of busy, busy Storm-a-long Bay...
