“Convenient and fun.”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

As annual passholders, we continuously stay at various resorts to experience all they have to offer. This was our first stay at the Boardwalk, but it came highly recommended.

First of all, to be within 5 minutes of Epcot's World Showcase was pretty incredible. We simply walked there from the hotel and entered close to France. Fantastic! We walked to Hollywood Studios within about 15 minutes or so (we do walk briskly, however), and the walk itself was quite pleasant - devoid of lines, crowds, etc., the entire way there.

The resort itself is full of old-world charm and elegance. Period music is heard throughout, along with wonderful period furniture and other assorted decor. Valeting the car and check-in was pleasant, and we received our bags within about 10 minutes of getting to our room. A call was placed to us first to make sure we were there and ready.

Some minor gripes about the room: a crack in the left-side sink was a bit of an eyesore, and the outlets by the sink either didn't work (the left one) or were loose, with screws coming out (the right side one). That's it, though. Everything else in the room was classy and comfortable. Note that if you want to use the coffeemaker, you'll need to place it on the sink area to plug in.

Other reviews have said getting around the resort can be a bit of a pain since it's so large. I can see that happening, but for us, we didn't have any such issue. Getting from our room out to the boardwalk (and thus, on our way to Epcot) took maybe 5 minutes.

My only other "issue" is one I have with several Disney properties: a lack of any real "breakfast" place close-by. Some baked goods were available on the boardwalk itself, but the bakery there was closed for renovation. We had to truck it to Epcot, then since the World Showcase wasn't open, over to a spot to eat in "The Land". It was a bit of a trek. Keep this in mind.

Overall, though, we enjoyed the stay and enjoyed the property. I wasn't "wowed" enough to make it my "have to stay at" place, but then again, I'm still looking for that one. We'll check out other Disney resorts in the next few months. However, our stay at Boardwalk was pleasant, and we certainly have no regrets about it. Recommended.

I stayed here for a conference and we had several social events at Epcot. It was very convenient walk. If you want see fireworks every night, you may want to try the dolphin or swan instead. The highest floor at Boardwalk is only like 3-4 stories.

Our family visits Disney a few times each year. We have stayed at almost every Disney resort, from value to deluxe, and this one is our absolute favorite. It is expensive, but really is worth the price because of its proximity to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Being able to walk to a park is a definite plus for us. It is a short walk to the back entrance (World Showcase) of Epcot. It is a bit longer to Hollywood Studios, but is a nice and pleasant walk. You can also take the boat to either place. Bus service to Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom, Downtown, and water parks is shared with Beach & Yacht and Swan & Dolphin. ESPN on the Boardwalk is a great place to eat...very reasonable and large portions. There is no food court like some of the other resorts, but there is a bakery on the Boardwalk and also a lounge near the lobby to get breakfast, sodas and coffee. The kids always enjoy the pool with its long slide, and the boardwalk games and side shows in the evening. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the service is excellent. If you love Epcot like we do, this is the place for you. For us, it is ultimate Disney!

This was my first time staying at this resort. Like all Disney resorts, this is expensive.
The staff was excellent and very attentive to our needs. This place was clean and the staff kept our rooms clean.
The only issue I have with these resorts is we spent most of our time out and about. If you're going to be at the resort more than the parks, then I would say go to one of these. If you plan on not being in your resort most of the time, I suggest you get something more reasonable.

This accommodation, along with it's surroundings and the other Disney Resort Hotels in the area really do add to the ''magic''!

So much to do, so much to see, treated like royalty and the Monorail / Epcot are right on your doorstep.

Highly Recommended

Gosh, where do I start... The staff are phenomenal. They are not only helpful, but always friendly and extremely courteous. It felt so sincere. They never stop smiling toward the kids. I really like that. They genuinely liked having noisy kids around. The room was spacious and very clean. In fact, they cleaned it every day that we stayed and we needed that. All comfy beds and new or very near new towels. Tiny shelves around the vanity was a nice touch. One day before the last day, they left a piggy made with a small towel and a few strings. My older one really loved it. They let us keep that as well.

I had a miss-communication with the bell crew and left my bags at the hotel when I left for the airport. They had the bags sent via the next available Disney Magical Express and I had them before I had to board the plane. I'm really thankful for that.

Food at the Boardwalk tend to be on a pricey side. Big River Grille was our fav. Walked in a couple of times and got the table within reasonable time. Almost always they have something going on around the Boardwalk that made the waiting period felt like nothing.

Pool was supposed to be like 84 degree, but it felt colder. Hot tub was very good and it saved the day. We were jumping between them and it made good morning swim at 70 degree weather.

It was a very memorable place to stay and we are already missing that place...

Room Tip: If kids want to play in the large pool, stay on the Villa. Inn has a smaller 'quiet' pool...

We had a wonderful 7 night stay at the Boardwalk Inn. We were fortunate wnought to have a room by the elevator, which saved a lot of steps. We had a view of the Epcot ball and fireworks every night. The rooms are large, well appointed and extremely clean. They are bright and reminiscent of Cape May. The walk to Epcot is very easy. There is a boat to Hollywood Studios, or you can walk. Fantastic location! You are a bit limited for quick service meals on the dining plan, but that was not a huge deal. The store at Boardwalk is very nice and sells food, beer and wine. Downside, the pool was closed. That was a disappointment.

Room Tip: High floor, near elevator, facing Epcot
