This deluxe "Inn" s nestled in a turn of the century New Jersey boardwalk town on Disney property, walking distance to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios. The recently updated rooms are charmingly decorated and sufficient, but the reason to stay here is the ambience of nightly walks along the lake, morning coffee runs along the boardwalk, entertainment provided by musicians, magicians, and various booths and food items just steps outside your door. Two pools, one themed for children, the other a quieter pool for adults are beneficial. Everytime we go a lovely experience and castmembers are always eager to help. We have never had a bad experience here, and one of the best restaurants on property, Flying Fish, is right next door. The deuling piano bar nearby is also not to be missed. You will enjoy this hotel beautifully themed and so close to two of the Disney parks. And the Christmas decorations are a not-to-be-missed season at this hotel!

Room Tip: Select rooms near the quiet pool for some peace or rooms by the boardwalk for more entertaining but...

Had a delightful 6-night stay at the BWI the week of November 5th. We reserved a king room with a day bed for our son, standard view, and the room was ready upon our arrival at about 10:30am. We were greeted very pleasantly and escorted to the front desk to obtain our welcome packet. The online check-in had worked seamlessly, and our Keys to the World were ready to go!

The resort and our room were immaculate, and the theming was evident, yet tasteful. Every staff person we encountered was friendly, helpful, and responsive to requests. Our room was made up in a timely fashion each day, which easily permitted a return to the room after lunch for swimming and rests. The bed was very comfortable! The pool area was a lot of fun and included a terrific slide. Pool staff were friendly but also vigilant about maintaining the safety of the area, which was appreciated.

We enjoyed several breakfasts at Kouzzina (coffee-lovers must try the pressed pot coffee...Disney coffee that's actually worth drinking!), and a dinner at Flying Fish, both right downstairs on the Boardwalk. Epcot is a fairly easy walk, as are both the Yacht and Beach Club resorts, which collectively offer myriad dining options. One minor drawback to the BWI is the lack of a counter service restaurant (there is the Boardwalk Bakery, but it is TINY), which makes the refillable mugs more of an annoyance than an actual value.

Bus service to the parks was fine, although having to stop at several other resorts first can be a bit tedious after a busy day. We chose to take cabs in order to dine at several of the other Disney properties, and costs ranged from about $15-$18 each way, including tip.

Given the excellent location and the manageable size of this property (the smallest Disney deluxe resort), the high-quality staff, and the lovely ambiance, you really can't go wrong with the BWI if it fits in the vacation budget.

Our family stayed here for four nights in a two bedroom suite on the club level. We had a large group attending the Food and Wine Festival events. First of all, it is Disney and I expect a 'magical experience' but this hotel's concierge service was so inconsistent, I was disappointed and rather outraged. It was not magical at all! We paid handsomely for this priviledge and I will never do it again. Concierge staff was either super nice or rude and paranoid. Room service only serviced two days. Concierge could not get any better reservations for restaurants and events than if I called Disney's central reservations. Granted it is wihin walking distance of Epcot but half of my party left the hotel and stayed elsewhere. Do yourself a favor and save the money. Don't waste it on club level services at Disney. I've been to "concierge levels" at Yacht Club, Grand Floridian and now Boardwalk. Boardwalk by far was my least favorite. Concierge manager said they would be happy to speak to me at 7 AM on our day of departure. When I sought her out - she was already gone. Thanks but no thanks!

Room Tip: Don't stay on their concierge level. It was a rip-off. Otherwise hotel is pretty standard fare...

Of all the WDW deluxe resorts I would have to say this is the most disappointing as of late.
The amenities don't measure up at all.
Sadly we were there for a split stay and the time we were there 3 out of 5 days consisted of rain storms 24/7. We thought it might be a nice time to really enjoy the hotel.
We went to the lounge, The Bellvue Room and the atmosphere I know is lovely because we have stopped in before.
The tables were filthy, covered with old cocktails, candy bags & garbage. We decided to have a bite and the only thing available is the room service menu which is very overpriced and not delicious.
There was no floor staff at all to take orders or clean up and the bartender who did the best job he could with a packed lounge.
The room itself is the least detailed then other deluxe Disney resorts. It has a very sad,old feeling.
This would be a resort I would say don't buy the refillable cups. You have to go outside in the rain, they hand you a disposable cup (not very green) and you pour the contents into the cup. There is no self serve on property and it is a far walk from the pool and just not worth it.
The main pool is cluttered, loud and has all kinds of elephants, large trees, etc so if your with a few people it is very difficult to find enough seating in a little nook and you cannot see your kids if your traveling as a family.

Room Tip: If you like quiet stay away from the Boardwalk View Rooms the noise goes until 1am. Also any room c...

If you are able to afford staying club level at this resort, I would highly recommend it. The number one thing that keeps us coming back 3x a year is the staff who work in the Innkeepers Lounge. They have become family to us as we to them. The check in is quick and easy. The food offerings are plentiful. It is not recommended to use the food offerings from 5-7 pm as your main dinner. They recently added some items to the food offerings. The staff is top notch. They will make your stay as magical as possible. When staying at the Boardwalk, you have the option of walking or boating to two different theme parks. The boardwalk at night comes to life with entertainers, music, games. The Beach Club resort is a quick walk around the lagoon where you can find Beaches and Cream. We look forward to our next trip in January 2012

Room Tip: If staying non club level, ask for a room up on the 4th or 5th floor facing Paris so you can enjoy w...

Beautiful Hotel, but the first room we had was musty smelling and We had to get another. The second room was very far from the lobby. We had a meal plan, but the front desk handed us everything without explanation. Someone on the boardwalk explained it to us The front desk was not what I expect from a Disney Hotel. Not helpful at all

Room Tip: Ask for a room close to the Lobby

This was our first stay at The Boardwalk and we loved it. Disney staff at their hotels are always exceptional so they hardly need to be commented on. I love the "welcome home" greeting as our luggage is unloaded for us at the check-in doorway and the costume-dressed greeters who have your name on a list and accompany you to the desk to finalize the check in process. It gives me a feeling of being on vacation already, unlike other places which still have that "grayness" around the check-in. Boardwalk is themed around Atlantic City in the 20s & 30s and music & Bright decor reflects the mood of relaxation by the water. The boardwalk itself, outside of the hotel is full of restaurants, cafe's, bakeries etc and is positioned adjacent to the Swan & Dolphin which have fine dining and a host of amenities if you don't find what you're looking for at the Boardwalk. The rooms are bright & sunny, each one with a walk-out balcony, some of which are facing the boardwalk itself which I believe are a premium, as is the concierge level. Or room was placed at the back & was equally as nice, just without the view over the water.
We had ordered a wheelchair accessible room which, by the usual somewhat minimum standard of adherence to ADA, we received. However, it has to be noted by those of you who push your own chairs, that there is only one elevator to take guests to the rooms and the hotel is built in a very linear fashion. Our room was quite a long push from the elevator on thick pile carpet on the hallways. This may be OK for some but not so good for others so it's worth noting. It didn't seem to make much sense having ADA rooms so far from the elevator. That's the only reason I gave the hotel less than an excellent rating. Overall, a great stay and we would certainly go again as long as we could get a room closer to the elevator.

Room Tip: If you need an accessible room, make sure it's close to the elevator.
