Once again I’m staying at the Holiday Inn across from Universal Orlando and was greeted upon check in by the manager Tiffeney.
She is the main reason I choose this location over others. She always has a huge smile and is super friendly and professional. Her attitude is infectious as I see her staff acting the same around her.

I stayed in a 2 queen suite for 5 nights. The lobby of the hotel is inviting and makes it look like a 4 star hotel, but once you start going to the elevator area things change drastically. The ceilings are extremely low, the hallways are very poorly lit, and the carpeting and paint need updating badly. The first room we werr given stunk of cigarette, even though requested non smoking, and there were stains on the carpet, the furniture, the walls, the blanket on the bed. It was horrid. So I went diwn and switched rooms. The second room was a bit cleaner, however we found garbage in the ice bucket and the A/C did not work. Despite the maintenance guy coming, the A/C was never fully functioning. The bathroom is extremely small and cramped. There isnt even a foot of space between the toilet and tub. And the drainage in the tub is poor, always ankle deep water. The size of the parking lot compared to the size of the hotel is insufficient, and i spent a lot of time driving around looking for parking. It is a nice short distance to Universal, but I would stay father away for something more updated.

Booked one night after a long flight to Orlando before moving on to a better property. Reception staff were helpful, polite and our connecting rooms were available straight away. The rooms were dated, but clean enough and apparently had new beds.
The rooms were very noisy though, sounded like a bunch of drunk people staggered back in the early hours, lots of banging doors and shouting. Pool was smaller than expected. Bar service was very good.
But the stay got off to a poor start. After we checked in a chap across the reception area waved us over and told us about a ‘welcome gift’. Quickly became apparent that this is a time share scam for the Holiday Inn Resort. Really poor customer service and totally unnecessary. I even saw the same person chase a couple down the corridor and pretty much atop them getting into the lift! Awful. Won’t use this hotel again.

Perfectly located across from Universal Studios. Easy access from Interstate. Close to restaurants and shopping. Very courteous and professional staff. The room was clean and well appointed. I would definitely stay there again.

This location was used to host our family reunion. From the initial planning leading up to the event day, the customer service that was received was awesome. The staff is very friendly, professional, and accommodating. The banquet staff did an awesome job with preparing the venue and food. The service we received was without a doubt, exceptional. Yuk Lane was my contact person throughout the planning stages, until the event date arrived. She was fantastic. She provided great customer service and is an asset to Holiday Inn. If anyone is looking to host an event at this location, I suggest you call and ask to speak to Yuk Lane. The location of the property is very conveniently located to theme parks, shopping, and restaurants. We will definitely stay at this location again. Great Job to the staff at this property!!
