This restaurant was good but felt like it was missing something. My steak and mashed potatoes were very salty. We did really like the dessert and the kids ice cream was neat. We ate here about of the location but I am not sure I would go back. We were worried when we booked the reservations (having two small children) but it was not bad at all. It is nice but not over the top.

During our stay at. The Contemporary at Disney we ate here 3 times
Service was attentive and the food was really good.
We were on the resort food plan and had apps entrees and dessert for lunch and dinner.
At breakfast we ate from the buffet at the suggestion of our server. Ordered eggs from the kitchen and were told if we wanted other items just ask. Great advice the buffet was fab. Loved the pumpkin pancakes. There was top quality fresh fruit. Also saw lox, cream cheese and all the fixings (which we did not partake of).
Fish of the day was top notch as was the salmon entree. The kids menu included steak what a welcome change from the typical offerings.

We were at DW for one night and staying at Contemporary. Missed dinner and super hungry for breakfast we gave the Wave a shot downstairs. So glad we did. Breakfast was outstanding, great service and the restaurant was not crowded at all. You can do the buffet but we ordered off the menu. Scrambled eggs with feta and sautéed spinach was awesome but bring your appetite. Big plate of food. Husband ordered the sweet potato pancakes and said they were great. I had a bite of them as well and would definitely order them next time and there will be a next time!

Eggs Benedict on a buffet! It doesn't get any better than that! Oh wait, yes it does. Sweet potato pancakes! This is by far my favorite breakfast spot on Disney property

Since we stayed at the Contemporary, we ate several meals here during our trip. Breakfast was good although nothing terribly special - standard fare you would find at any breakfast restaurant. Dinner was where the Wave shined for me - we ate here at the lounge after a long day out at the parks and all of the food was incredible - we tried the lump crab cakes, cobb salad, and fish tacos for appetizers; the farm raised chicken, grilled fish, and beef tenderloin for dinner; and had the creamy indulgence and American flavors for dessert. Every food item we had went above and beyond expectations and the mushroom risotto was absolutely to die for. We also discovered a favorite drink here (although one we were able to get at almost every restaurant on the WDW properties) - a glowtini - a fruity martini with a glow cube dropped into it. This is a great more casual dining option at the WDW resorts that still has amazing food.
