This place pretty much suits everybody. The suites were excellent, clean, comfortable, TV in every room, WIFI, kitchens etc etc etc.... The pool was great and clean. Breakfast was nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Oh, and the location is spot on and very central - loads of restaurants, supermarkets, pharmacies, nail bar etc within walking distance. Great value for money - we'll be back!

PS: Lots of wildlife in the ponds in front of the property - spotted otters and many different kinds of big birds!

Our family of 5 stayed in a 2 bdrm suite with other family members staying in a one bedroom in August 2008..We had to leave the kids with our family here for five days to attend a business conference. This involved some room juggling that the hotel handled easily.

I chose this hotel because I wanted something easily accessible to the Disney parks with or without a car, yet not right on site and totally immersed in Disney 24/7. I thought this would be a bit much (not to mention expensive) after 10 days. The Staybridge suites fitted the bill perfectly. The 2 bedrm/2bathroom (3 TV) suite was spacious enough that we could spread out during the down times back at the hotel. The kitchen facilities meant that we didn't have to go out for every meal. The breakfast was basic but adequate - the kids especially liked the waffle station. I also appreciated having the laundry - vital to have this during our month-long trip to the US. The room wasn't flashy(nor did I expect it to be), but I thought it was pleasantly and comfortably decorated.

The Winn Dixie supermarket is just across the road, and a number of other convenience stores and restaurants are within easy walking distance. Our family was without a car for a few days so this was important. They used the shuttle bus to the parks. I gather these got crowded at times, but again were very convenient if you don't have a car. The business centre was handy because we had to change our flights.

The pool area was attractive and the kids enjoyed a swim. Our room was one floor up and faced out toward the parking area. Not much of a view, but noise wasn't an issue.

I thought it was good value and I'd stay here again.

We stayed here the beginning of December for 9 nights. Clean room, beds were comfortable, the breakfast buffet was your average daily breakfast food; but if you didn't get to the buffet early enough the eggs tended to be cold and runny and they never seemed to have enough hot chocolate packages.

Although the hotel staff seemed nice & friendly, it came across as being forced as being part of their job and lacking sincerity.

Kids seem to enjoy the heated pool in the evening and the pool area was well stocked with clean towels & well kept.

The layout of the room felt cramped and kids had to go thru the master bedroom to get to the bathroom. The bathroom itself was very tiny, I had to have my child step into the bathtub for me to come in and help her dry off after swimming. The sink area was in a separate from the toilet & shower.

This was our first stay at this hotel, but we probably won't come back. We like the layout of other hotel/suites a bit better. The atmosphere of the hotel didn't seem as friendly and jovial as staying on Disney property or the other hotels where we have stayed. Not just in Orlando, but other hotels elsewhere.

We were here the first week of December 2008 for five nights. We had a 1-bedroom suite on the 3rd floor of Bldg #17 facing the pool area.

The hotel's location is absolutely ideal for visiting Disney World. It takes no more than 15-20 minutes to get to/from any of the Disney parks by car in the morning or when returning even at rush hour.

There is a Winn-Dixie (one of the better ones we have shopped at in Florida) supermarket and 24-hour Walgreens across the street plus numerous stores, eating places, etc., within a 1/4 mile.

I found that if you are driving a car with a GPS don't follow the Disney direction signs on I4, follow the GPS's directions, it will save you time and distance.

I won't re-hash the previous reviews here as they are fairly accurate regarding the room conditions (some to moderate wear and tear and disrepair), the staff (very friendly), and the food (a bit limited in breakfast selections but OK otherwise, the evening receptions were a bit disappointing but at least there is free wine and beer). There was a large gap under the room's door which allowed plant debris from the courtyard to blow in under the door. There are at least 50 cable TV channels to watch including the local Weather Channel feed which should keep kids entertained when not out.

If you don't want to listen to little (and big) kids screaming in the pool until 11PM every night, request a room facing the outsides of the buidlings or one overlooking the west-side courtyard. They said we would have to move twice if we wanted a different room when we discovered the noise at 9 PM on the first night.

The heating/cooling system is a residential-type split system with the compressor/condenser unit outside so it is quiet in the room when running compared to the integrated systems found at many extended stay hotels.

They have two free PC's with a printer in their Business Center and signs clearly state they are for use by guests over 18 years old. Thus you don't have kids hogging them all day and night. They also have both wireless and wired free high speed internet connections in all the rooms.

The rates here were cheaper than the Residence Inn Lake Bunea Vista, which is about 1 mile due east. Our rate for 2 people was $106 plus tax versus $139 at the RI.

Front desk staff was very courteous, friendly and helpful.

Guest services desk (where you can buy attraction passes, etc) was a bit annoying as you could get good deals on some attraction IF you agreed to spend a morning at a golf resort (got the impression they were going to try selling timeshares). They would also come around as you were eating breakfast.

Suite was plenty large enough for us and two children. Carpets and decor could use some upgrading, but everything was clean and comfortable. The main attraction for our daughters was the pool. They spent as many hours as they could in there each evening, even if we got back from the parks around 9pm they wanted to go 'for just 10 minutes', which would easily turn into an hour.

We checked around for rates, and the best rate we could find initially was around $170/night for a 2-BR suite. Then we stumbled onto the Orlando Visitor Information site (http://www.orlandoinfo.com/magicard/) and were able to get a rate of $120/night for the same room just by obtaining a free Orlando Magicard. Since we were there for 8 nights, this saved us a nice bit of money. With a hot breakfast included every day, and the "Manager Specials" (with supper and beer/wine for free) on 3 nights, it was a great for the budget.

The location was close to all of the attractions we wanted to visit. Food was easy as most days we ate the complimentary breakfast at the hotel, ate snacks at the parks and cooked dinner in our room at the hotel in the evenings; the kitchen was big enough to cook for our family of six. We had a two bedroom with sofa sleeper and it worked out great. The staff at the hotel was friendly and had great local knowledge, they always responded quickly to any need we had and we felt welcome. The cardio facility was great for a morning tune up and the heated pool was a nice place for the kids to unwind as we did some laundry in the complimentary washers and dryers. I also took advantage of the free wireless internet and found the service to be fast and had no issues. We would definitely pick this hotel again.

Spent 1 night there this past weekend (11/22/08) and found the hotel to be very comfortable. For a suite, it was one of the smaller ones we have had (may have been due to the corner location we had (Room 31)), but we found the room clean and comfortable. I'm not sure what some reviewers are talking about when they call the rooms "dated." I suppose that some people must believe that hotels need to remodeled every couple of years or something. The entire hotel itself cannot be more than 10 years old, and the room we had was fine. Yes it had a couple of signs of use, but lets get real, this isn't an expensive hotel. If you want perfect you will be spending $300+ these days, and even then you can be dissapointed.

The courtyard and pool areas are very-very nice. The breakfast buffet was clean and had a good selection of breakfast items. They even have a rather large laundy area (not that we used it, but would come in handy if you were staying longer).

Every staff member we encountered was friendly, and made us feel welcome and appreciated (which seems to be hard to come by these days with some hotels).

The only small ding I will give our room was that the AC system did need the coils and ductwork cleaned. Some other reviewers did mension this, and our room AC did have noticable dust on the vents and a musty smell when we fired it up for a couple of hours when we arrived. Thankfully we didn't have to run it much due to it being a cool weekend in Orlando. So if anyone from this resort's management reads this, please clean those things, because that simple thing makes a clean room feel not-so clean.

Thanks for the nice comments about the hotel. To let you know I do read these reviews as well as the guest comments from our company's internal guest satisfaction system. We go over the guest comments during our employeee meetings and many times we find some really good ideas to improve the hotel. Regarding the air ducts that you spoke of, I spoke to my Maintainance Department about it. They are going to make sure they are clean in all of the suites. Cleaning the ducts is part of their checklist when they conduct periodic maintainance on all of the suites, I'm really sorry that they must have missed yours. But I'm really glad to hear that you were happy at the hotel. Thanks again for writing about us.
