Although boasting of a million dollar plus renovation my husband and I found this hotel to be just about average. The King Non-Smoking room we received was strangely designed, very large, it obviously had been a two bed room at one time, now there was a big empty space where the second bed must have been. There was a desk and small table and 2 chairs, but the room was lacking a sofa or comfortable chairs, that would have fit nicely in that big empty space! The beds were super comfortable, the bathroom was very nice and all was clean. An interesting find was another empty space next to the ice machine in the hallway, where the soda machine should have been. We arrived back at our room after a very long day in Disney World to find no toilet paper or tissues had been restocked in the bathroom. I had left a note requesting extra coffee packets be left for the in room coffee-maker and we were left none. A call to the front desk got these supplies delivered in about twenty minutes, but at 1 AM that seemed like an eternity. The elevator located near our second floor room was out of service from our Friday arrival until our Sunday departure. The pool looked fairly nice and the tiki bar was a nice touch. All in all, I probably would not stay here again unless I got a really good rate, as I did this time(priceline).

Room Tip: At check-in I was offered an "upgrade" to a pool view, which was a second floor room right...

We checked in around 11PM without a hassle and immediately looked for a place to eat. We had to settle for the AppleBee's that was directly connected to the lobby since every other place around was either closed or about to close. Nothing against AppleBee's, but we have plenty of them back home and wanted to try something different. Luckily, this AppleBee's didn't close until 2AM. On top of that they had 2 for 1 drinks and 1/2 off appetizers which we took advantage of!
As far as the rooms go, I would say that they're excellent. It was pretty spacious and clean, and included a mircrowave, safe, and a large fridge. The beds were really comfortable with two soft and two firm pillows. They were so comfortable that my girlfriend sleep a whole 12 hours the last night and almost missed checkout! The furniture was also really nice as was the large flat screen TV. The bathroom separates the toilet and shower from the sink. There's also plenty of counter space in the bathroom!
The only minor issue I had was the wifi cut out both nights. I didn't have time to troubleshoot it to find out if it was my laptop or the resort's wifi. It worked perfectly all day and night till about 2AM. Also the traffic on street which the resort sits on can be really heavy sometimes. It took almost 30 minutes to get from Disney back to the resort, with the entrance to Disney being no more than 1/2 a mile away. However, getting to Disney in the morning was trouble free. Also saw at least one group of cheerleaders staying in the resort (it was the national championship at Hollywood Studio's), but luckily didn't hear a peep out of them.
For anyone asking THERE IS a $12 resort fee per day, but I knew it about it before deciding to stay here. I would definitely stay here again!

Stayed for a few days with family in Feb 2012. Clean, modern rooms, good larger pool for kids. Nice touch is kids eat free in the restaraunt when accompanied by an adult. Can't speak to lunch or dinner, but worked out great for breakfast before heading out to the parks, food was good and very convenient. Downside is the bus shuttles to any of the Disney theme parks take forever to get you there.

Wow what can I say. Stayed only 1 night but was tickled pink. I was amazed at the size of the room. It was a bigger room than my room at the Grand Floridian. The bathroom was gorgeous. CLEAN! Microwave, fridge and coffee maker. Flat screen tv. The a/c had a thermostat on the wall so you could set it as warm or as cold as you'd like. You had a choice of pillows (soft and hard). It was nice to be able to plug in cell phones and laptop easily. Didn't have to unplug other things and pull furniture away from the wall because they had plugs on the laps at the bed and on the desk. There was a phone by the bed and on the desk. Free local calls. Hairdryer in the bathroom and iron and ironing board in closet. There was also a safe. Asked for more towels and housekeeping brought them right up. Because I was in their priority club I got late check out (2pm) which was nice. My only problem was the service charge. I guess it's for the newspaper and maybe for the microwave, fridge and internet. I think they should charge if you use internet and take the paper. The microwave and fridge should be included in the room. Not sure how much the hotel is normally as we got a discount through work but I'm sure it's cheaper than than the Grand Floridian. I really didn't explore the hotel so I can't really talk much about the amenities. The property is well kept and the pool was large. Plenty of parking and no charge. You had to use your card to get into the building and all the rooms had peep holes and lots of locks on the door. I would highly recommend this hotel!

Room Tip: We were in building E. Our room was at the end of the hall and had a view of the parking lot. Very...

Things to know when planning a vacation here you should know; about this hotel...is it is clean and friendly but their guest services aren't like your typical consierge services they have motivations to move you to timeshare presentation...i.e cheaper disney tickets if you attend.....it's longer then they say and the sales men don't like the word no even four times or more after 2.50hrs......but they do honour the discounted tickets if you don't purchase..................................TRAFFIC- there is a turnabout that is required as the medium separates road way to hotel.....this can take some time as the busy street is high volume in traffic hours...between 5-9pm took 1 hr to go two blocks when we learned of it....The shuttle for disney leaves every 1/2 hr we were told....we the reality is it leaves to individual parks once a day...and returns once a day...so yes every half hour but not nessacarily to the park u want.....14.00 to park at disney if you have car interchangable to all parks for the day (about 15 minute drive).....you have the option for children to eat free at the attached applebees but u have to ask for tickets from front desk or this will not be honoured. There are resort fees so if your booking a vacation package ask about them as they are discounted in packages for about 8.00 a day on top of your trip cost...or 12.00 aday if not in the package......they dont really have smoking rooms but they do have a building with ashes tray collectors on the balcony if u ask.....best of luck but do your home work this can be great bang or a terrible mistake...get informed. Call them for clearity but make them elaborate to the last detail so you aren't disappointed.

Room Tip: Can bring pets for a fee....I didn't but I did read that you could.
