There is nothing to dislike about this show. The show, the fountains, the story line, and fireworks all wrapped up in one Disney package. And it is included with your visit to Disney Hollywood Studios.

This show was awesome! Utilizing video projected onto fountains, laser lights, fireworks to tell a story-well done! You sit in a large arena (metal bleachers and no rails on the steps) overlooking a lagoon. This was worth the wait to see. If you can, see the second show as it is less crowded. The people start lining up about 90 minutes before show time.

First, I would like to say that I have seen the original Fantasmic at Disneyland a number of times and there are some definite differences. The one at Disneyland is held on the Rivers of America and utilizes the pirate ship for a battle between Peter Pan and Captain Hook, and Tick Toc (the Crocodile) follows the ship. This version is on a small "river" built specifically for the show and uses a battle between the native Americans and the settlers from Pocahontas, which isn't as entertaining. However, because this version is set in a theater made for the show, you do not have to stake out a seat on the ground hours before the show. Almost all of the seats in the house lookk like good seats. We were there 30 minutes before the performance, and it was nearly full, so I would recommend getting there an hour early for a better seat. About 20 minutes before showtime, Disney staff entertained the audience with a DJ playing Disney songs & getting the crowd to sing along, breaking the audience into seections that competed against each other.

The show itself is a combination of characters, music, video on water screens , and fireworks, all with the theme that Mickey's dream becomes a nightmare (enter the Disney Villains), but then he takes control of his dream once more. It may frighten some small children, but if your children aren't afraid of the Disney Villains or loud music/fireworks, they should enjoy the show.

First time going to this show and it was great! We had a dinner package which entitled you to priority seating. This is a must since there are tons of people there. If you have little kids, it does get a little scary with all of the villains they present. I witnessed several children crying and hands over their eyes. A must do at Hollywood Studios.

Have seen this show several times and while I wouldn't wait hours in line to see it, we have walked up when they are letting people in and there really isn't a bad viewing area, so head in with a half hour or so to spare and you'll be fine. It's a visually nice show to see using a lot of characters, water, projection and fireworks.
