Straight to the point
Staff – professional, well mannered, and friendly.
I had the studio – VERY clean, and very spacious.
The little kitchen had everything you need.
Awesome hotel!
Will come again!
Will recommend!

Has a 'resort fee' of like 10$

The lobby was beautiful. Then we got to our room and it had a kitchen with a stove/oven, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, nice-sized fridge, washing machine, and dryer. They provided soap for the dishwasher and washing machine. There was also wired internet in the living room. In the master bathroom we had a jet bath and a shower. The bedroom had a big king-sized bed. The decorations of the room were wonderful too. Granite countertops, shiny tile in the bathroom, and beautiful paintings in the bedroom and living room. I never got in the pool, but it looked lovely. Wet n Wild was practically right across the street and the Festival Bay Mall(which I loved) was prettty close also. Not to mention the price was really good for the quality of the resort. I felt like royalty in luxury. I would absolutely go there again.

P.S. The would thing I do complain about is the parking. The parking lot was almost completely full in the evenings when everybody got back. Also, because they are building a 3rd tower, they definitely need to expand their parking lot.

We travel a lot--much of it business related--and when it comes to hotels, most nights are spent in well recognized brand names at the mid-upper level cost range. So, when it came time to visit the new Harry Potter theme park at Universal, we went searching for a good hotel at reasonable price to house our group of 5 which included a mom, dad, and three teenagers/young adults.

We ended up at The Point Orlando Resort, and I have to say we were definitely not disappointed. As the headline says, it is what it is, and that's a good thing.

The Point is a reasonably new hotel, which in fact is better described as a "condo hotel." It is very clean, everything functions, and the rooms are very adequate. We were in a sutie which was actually two rooms: one, a standard room with a king bed and a kitchenette, next to which was a junior suite which had a full kitchen, refrigerator, small living room and a bedroom. The furniture is adequate, the beds comfortable, and everything fairly basic. Nice, large bathroom in the junior suite, and as noted the room was clean and well maintained.

There is a small breakfast restaurant downstairs, but no other restaurants on the property. Not a major problem, since there are tons of places to eat nearby. The pool is nice, but not overly large There is a small "functional" fitness center.

What really struck us was how pleasant and accomodating the front desk staff was to us. We decided to stay an extra night, and they were very accomodating. Parking is on site, without charge.

Location is fine, near the intersections of Universal and International Drives, about a mile from Universal Studios.

Bottom line, not dramatic but very functional and pleasant. We would definitely stay here again if we brought family to visit the theme parks.

I have a degree of skepticism over hotel review sites and wondered if the generally favourable reviews of this self-catering condominum/hotel would live up to the claims. Having used hotels over many years from budget ranges to excellent four star city centre locations via personal or work use, and having travelled from Europe, this very spacious two bed roomed apartment with lobby, living areas and fully equipped kitchen lived up and exceeded all expectations under all of the heading for ratings above. what an eye-opener is all we could say. Full compliments to all staff encountered during our two week stay - great service but also great spirit and friendliness; Congrats to both management and staff. Location to I-Drive and Universal + Seaworld spot on; whilst we left ourselves the option of car hire for Disney, between the limited shuttle and public transport (43 or 111) and I-Trolley tickets, it was more than feasible logistically to get there and back; we visited all the theme parks twice in half day segments, and never found the hotel location a drawback; it is in quieter area and if don't mind walking a block either way to amenities, then you won't mind; otherwise, if you wish to go elsewhere, a car is necessary but that is more a reflection of the culture and geographical dispersion of the USA in my view rather than a negative of the hotel location. Certainly, we found no reason for concerns over construction of any new phases as none were evident.

We stayed in apartment 404 which is a 1 bedroom condo ( as they like to call them). Good quality fixtures and nice qualilty furnishings.
Huge bed ( so big you may need to contact your partner by text !)
Jet bath plus shower (free shampoo/shower gel etc)
Well equipped kitchen. Large Fridge has an ice maker. We liked that you are provided with washing up liquid, sponge/scourer dish washer powder, washing powder, kitchen roll and filter coffee. When you use something it is usually replaced during daily room refresh by housekeeping.

Free Wired internet in room and free wi-fi in reception. Free local phone calls.
Rooms were very quiet and with good blackout curtains (needed as very bright security lights outside). Not much of a view or balcony but we didn't find it an issue.
There isn't a safe in the room but free safety deposit box at reception.
The Hotel feels safe and secure and we often saw security staff outside the bulding.

All the staff are very pleasant and helpful.
Thanks to Lauren and Fabio who were at the bar and made us feel very welcome on our first night (its just a shame Lauren introduced my wife to Grey Goose Vodka, as she now likes it a bit too much !) . Fabio also very kindly offered us a late check out on our last day when he realised we had a later flight home.
When I asked about using the business center to print out an email, reception offered to print it for me for no charge. It was gestures like this that helped make our stay so enjoyable.

A short walk gets you to International drive with a good choice of places to eat and drink. There is also a supermarket nearby. The hotel is less than 2 miles from the Universal Theme park - but we wouldn't recommend walking to it.

Pool area is nice, not huge but big enough and we always found free sunbeds.
There are vending machines by pool for snacks and drinks, but you can take your own drinks (no glass for safety) as there is no pool bar.

It is worth mentioning that the hotel is building a 3rd tower next to the pool so there can be building noise, but most people are out during the day so there was only once in 2 weeks that it affected us when using the pool. We never heard any building noise when we were in the room.

This was our 3rd time in Orlando and the this is best place we have found, we would definitely stay again.

Well Done Point Orlando, Keep up the good work !

This hotel is so lovely I loved it, I went with my friends and 2 children, We had a 2 bedroom apartment . The bathroom was so big and the beds was comfortable. The rooms where very clean. I wasn't to happy with the staff they didn't seem friendly. And when we was leaving we had to pay extras for the gym which we didn't even use, that really pissed me off.Overall the hotel is nice good location .

This property is a hidden gem. Clean, excellent, knowledgeable, friendly staff.
This affordable property has a great location on the I-Drive-near to Universal and City Walk, Disney and Seaworld and Cocoa Beach.
The pool is nice size and the suites are roomy, clean and very comfortable.
I recommend this for business and vacation travel for everyone. Bathrooms very well lit, modern with whirlpool tub.
Our family will go back again!
