We recently went to Orlando for a Disney/Universal Extravaganza. We started our trip at the Point Orlando and wished we had stayed there the whole time. A thousand times better than staying in WDW! Of course we are a family that prefers to have a kitchen, that was a super bonus. The fresh air from the balcony, the Clean, let me emphasize how clean it was, clean suite, with a jacuzzi tub, separate shower, and incredible view. The staff was amazing, courteous, and generous. I would absolutely stay there again the next time we go to Orlando! The kids loved the pool and wanted to swim every morning and night. I felt like a princess! The staff here truly knows and enjoys the hospitality industry.

Room Tip: The rooms up high have an incredible view. We were not poolside, but glad for it, it was hard enoug...

From the moment you walk into the enormous and exquisitely decorated lobby you know you are somewhere special. We were greeted by a very nice young woman named Rose who was prepared to help us with anything. Since we had booked several rooms for an event Rose introduced us to Nicola who was just as nice and very classy. Nicola showed us around and made us feel very comfortable and special. We also met with Nicola and Dino (manager) the next morning on a few details and felt confident that we were in good hands. One evening we planned a social gathering around the pool and bar when it started to rain. The staff kicked in and we were quickly and effortlessly moved inside to continue socializing and enjoying our food and drinks. The entire time we were inside Josh was non-stop making sure everyone had what they needed or wanted. The rooms were top notch. Clean, beautifully decorated and very well kept. We had a one bedroom suite with a full kitchen. I really felt like I was at home when I realized the coffee maker was a Keurig. Our room also had a balcony overlooking the pool and bar area. The hotel also had cribs available for those who needed them. I would definitely stay here again. Cheers to a great resort who truly cares about their customers!!!!!!

Room Tip: a room with a view of the pool and bar area is very nice to have.

The Point Orlando Resort is one of the best standard property i would say. its quite economical and really worth the price.

its not really close to the airport but however public trasport-bus with one change can get you there, this is the cheapest way to get ther however if not comfortable you may pre arrange your transport or can take a cab from airport.

when you arrive a freindly staff welcomes you directing you towards the check in desk.
the rooms are quite spacious, with kitchen appliances which relieves you from the thought of always being on junk...
you can eat as you wish n like.
hotel has a nice pool and gym. its open until 2300hrs...after you done with the parks and back to hotel, m sure after resting you would want to go out
but if no car gym and pool are the best time pass.its not very busy thou. you will enjoy relaxing pool side.pool has sitting area around and bar as well.
Ambience at night poolside is too good.
Hotel provides shuttle service to many attractions. Its close to universal Studios and Wet n wild, Indoor skydiving.
but otherwise i feel to commute you need a car.
it has supermarket close by, but a walk toward the main road.

Over all is a very nice hotel. Recommended!

Room Tip: we had a pool view room at a very good height...

Stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and couldn't fault it. Exceptional value for money. If you have a car they offer free parking, if you don't a taxi from Orlando airport is approximately $45. They offer a free shuttle to the theme parks. During our stay in April times were as follows:
EPCOT (Disney)Departure: 8am, 10.15am Return: 5.15pm, 8.30, 9.45
Seaworld Departure: 9am, 10am. Return: 5pm, 6pm
Universal Departure: 8.30am, 9.30am. Return: 7.15pm, 9.15pm
(These times were for April only so I would check times with hotel)
There is also a trolley that can take you to the many outlet Malls which is $5 for a 1 day pass and $9 for a 7 day pass (www.iridetrolley.com for more info).
The hotel is right across the road from Wet and Wild.
We had a car and felt the freedom of being able to go where you want, when you want was invaluable. There is s much to see and do in Orlando. We felt 4 days was not enough, could have easily stayed 10 days, especially at this hotel.
The reception staff are so friendly and helpful at this Resort. Breakfast was included and was all you really need; bacon, eggs, pancakes or hash browns, sausage, pastries, toast/bagels, cereal, fruit and yoghurt. If its not included in your package it was $11 per person which was great value.
Room was great. We had a suite so this had 1 bedroom with own TV, a lounge room, Flat screen TV and couch and small dining table. The room had a kitchen equipped with everything you would need if you wanted to cook a meal, but with so many cheap restaurants near buy there is really no need to. Another bonus is the washer/dryer. They supply you with laundry powder for 1 wash which is great.
Pool area was also good with a cafe for drinks and food. Water temp was nice.
Excellent value hotel, with super helpful staff, you won't regret staying here.

a short 20 min walk to Universal when you miss the free shuttle service (we found it out the hard way!). Otherwise, the shuttle service to both Universal and Disney Epcot is ideal for those who didnt rent a car! Although breakfast buffet can be improved on, the room was clean and allowed for a pleasant night stay. Washing machine, drier, oven and microwave were very useful too.

It seems they have two kind of rooms. I stayed in the larger one. It has a complete kitchen with all appliances, including toaster, blender, washing machine, drier, etc. My smal kid uses a lot of clothes, but I came back home with all clean, and could carry a small baggage.
The hotel itself is nice, everything is very new, clean and well conserved. The staff is very well trained and promptly attended to all my wishes. The Internet for me is very important (I use a lot because of Skype). I watched movies everyday with Netflix without any failure. The signal was always 3 bars in my iPad in our room.
Room was very spacious, silent and pretty close to wet'n wild, Intl drive, universal, etc.. I could even see them all from

Room Tip: Choose the large one.

This hotel suited our needs perfectly. We had stayed in a Disney hotel for the the first 4 nights ( what a rip- off ; a glorified motel) and then we had travelled in an RV for a week to the Florida Keys. We needed somewhere for the last 4 nights of our holiday, near to Universal and this was a great choice. We even managed without a car as we either walked to Universal , took the hotel bus or got a taxi ( only about 7- 10 $ ) . It is a good 30 mins walk to Universal but being British we are used to walking! Contrary to some reports we found a good choice of eating places within a 10 min walk of the hotel..TGI Fridays, Red Lobster, Angus Steak, Chillis etc. Plus a general food store for supplies.

The hotel doesn't look that spectacular when you drive up to it but inside it is lovely. Beautifully appointed suites with decent furniture, bedding, TV's and a fab kitchen and laundry facilities. The bathroom in our 1 bed suite was superb with a massive shower cubicle and a jacuzzi bath.
We were a family of 4 and it included breakfast for 2 which was strange, but you could pay a small amount , about $ 5 for a child's breakfast , plus you had the kitchen and endless dishes to use. In the Disney hotel we had paid about $ 90 for breakfast for 4 each morning.

We used our kitchen to make sandwiches for lunch , mainly because we got fed up of fast food in the parks but also we saved a fortune. We didn't cook in the kitchen as we ate out each night ..but you could have cooked easily.

We sat by the pool a few times which which was pleasant enough and never very busy. There is na poolside drinks/ snack bar and we ate there the day we arrived and for lunch when we were leaving. The food was the usual burgers, salads , club sandwiches ..OK for ease and the girl serving wasn't particularly pleasant, so I would recommend walking out to a restaurant for dinner.

In all, I would recommend this place , particularly for families who need a bit of extra space and self catering facilities. Great that I could make a cup of tea at anytime of the day, rather than have to improvise with the coffee maker!

The front desk were very helpful with questions and there was a nice, homely feel about the place.
Excellent value and would definitely stay again if we visit Orlando.

Room Tip: Ask for one overlooking the pool.
