“Freezing pool !”
Reviewed March 1, 2011

One of the reasons we chose this resort was it states it has a heated pool. Infact it does have this facility but for the 10 days we were there it was icy cold. We knew after our long journey we would want to spend the first few days in the pool so our four year old could adjust to the different time zone. When we complained about the pool temperature they said they would adjust it and it would take a couple of days to heat up. All the other families huddled arround the hot tub as no one could endure the pool. One time I counted seventeen people in the hot tub.Two days later it was still freezing and they informed us they had it all turned off so they could change the filters and give it another couple of days and it should heat up. We were unable to switch hotel as everywhere was busy for Presidents day weekend and did not want to waste our time packing and searching for a more suitable hotel. We were given passes to use the pool in the Nickeleoden hotel down the road but they had no shower faciltiies so it was not ideal. My husband pursued them and the temperature improved a degree or two. Families actually ventured in to the pool for short periods but still complained of the cold. The pool never got to a comfortable warmth for the whole ten days. We had occasion to visit one of the Hiltons nearby and their pool was lovely.
Location of resort is fantastic. Short drive to Disney, shops and restaurants. Three bedroom unit was very spacious. As reported in other reviews there are maintenace issues, bed just ok, sheets do not fit beds well but reception staff very friendly. Block 1 and 2 are next to the pool but as the numbers get higher the distance to the club house increases.
I will never return to WorldQuest and can not recommend it. The first few days of our holiday was ruined.

The hotel was extremely clean inside and out. It was very close to the hot spots for Disney, Sea World and International Drive. The only recommendation would be to rent a car to stay. We didn't rent one and ended up using Taxis to get everywhere except Disney (at the time it was cheaper then renting because we didn't book the rental ahead of time). You will do a lot of walking if you stay in the further buildings, we didn't mind, but for fun our daughter mapped our front door of the suite to the pool and it was a 1/4 mile walk. Our family enjoyed the exercise.

Stayed at WorldQuest Orlando for 6 nights in February for a Disney vacation and we would stay here again. I suspect that this resort is closer or as close as many "on-property" Disney resorts as it took only 5-10 minutes to reach the entrace to Disney World. The kitchen was fully equipped (and clean) so we were able to save time and money by eating breakfast in and packing lunches. For a family of five this was a super value!

I took my wife and young daughter to Orlando, FL for a Disney trip a few days after a business conference in Jacksonville, FL. When I began to look for rooms in Orlando, I scoured (literally) the internet up and down (for days) on this site and sites such as expedia, travelocity, etc. looking for the best bang for our buck.

How did I end up choosing WorldQuest?
I decided that I wanted us to have a play to relax at night where we could cook in the room, relax, and have plenty of room for my daughter to be a kid. Some of the other hotels I considered booking were Parc Soleil Hilton, Blue Herron, Doubletree Guest Suites, and Embassy Suites, but in the end I put faith in what I saw online in World Quest.

Overall impressions:
A true diamond in the rough among TONS of Orlando hotels in and around Downtown Disney/Lake Buena Vista. The rooms were actually a little bigger and nicer than I even expected based on the pictures I viewed online. Check-in was extremely easy, and the price quoted online was the exact price I ended up paying the resort. The pool was great (and the hot tub) and very clean. As for safety, I felt VERY safe on the property with my wife and young daughter. I give WQ 5 stars and would absolutely book there again when I go back to Orlando in the future with my family.

Pros:
- great band for your buck
- extremely spacious and clean rooms
- easy check-in and check-out
- great pool and hot tub
- fridge, oven, microwave, dishwasher, etc. in room
- whirlpool tub in room
- washer and dryer in room (but bring your own detergent)
- awesome screened in outdoor porch with 4 chairs and a table
- free parking
- no resort fee charged (just an end of stay housekeeping charge of $35)

Cons (if you want to call them that ...)
- location (some reviews said the place was a little hard to find - and it is, it's just tucked off on a side road that your GPS may not pick up very well); however, it's still in a very prime and central location for theme park goers
- $5/day charge for fresh towels (which we opted for, and they did deliver clean ones)
- no cleaning service unless you opt to pay a little daily extra
- you are on your own to unload bags and take to room, since it is a resort

I'm a picky guy and I'm picky about hotels I stay at (not easily impressed) - BUT this is one GREAT hotel if you want extra space, in a safe place, for a good deal! Book It!!!

We travel a lot, and were very pleased with our stay at world quest. Very close to disney, and about 2 miles from publix and walmart. The pool area and hot tub was great. All the outside furniture was very nice, with no expense spared. Very clean, very spacious, and the screened in balcony was great drinking coffee in the morning. We will be going back to stay at World Quest our next time to Orlando.

In our opinion, this is one of the best vacation resort values in Orlando, whether you are going to visit Disney or not. Although this Resort is only 5-7 minutes from Disney World and a broad range of Restaurants like Bahama Breeze, Golden Coral, etc, and 4 minutes from Downtown Disney. WordQuest has 7 Buildings, each 5 stories high and each building has both 2 and 3 bedroom suites. There is a Free Shuttle from the Hotel to Disney.

All rooms have central heating/cooling and ceiling fans. All rooms have free internet wired connections and wireless in common areas like the club house and pool area. There is a medium-size workout room with Elliptical/Treadmill and some weights. The facility is under 7 years old so the rooms are very modern (granite counter tops and modern tile), with the exception of the TVs, which are tube-type; not a huge deal since they all worked well. There is a huge resort-style pool, cabana for dinks (4pm- 7pm), and pool house with changing rooms/bathrooms. Each of the suites has a well-placed screened-in porch (entrance from Master Bedroom or Great Room) that all have great views of either the pool or a serene pond.

We were in Bldg. 4 on the 4th floor. Ted checked us in and was very courteous and helpful in every way. They have different levels of room service so you get to choose what works for you. We were only there for 2 days so we choose the trash removal option only. When we got to our room it was clean, tidy and feature-rich. We had the 2 Bed/2Bath Suite (AAA rate of $105 before fees/taxes – Awesome Deal). The master bedroom had a King size bed and huge bathroom with a Jacuzzi Tub and a separate shower stall. The other bedroom had two twin beds and a nice size bathroom with tub/shower combo just outside the room.

The Kitchen was huge and had a full-size fridge, stove, dish washer and high counter (w/chairs) for eating. The great room had a nice round table for eating, and comfy sofa and love seat. Each room and the great room had a nice size TV, and the great room also had a DVD player. The site has good security features (gated/staffed entrance) and the included continental breakfast was good; the only advice I would offer to WorldQuest would be to add a waffle maker, it would have made my little one very happy for breakfast.

On a scale of 1 to 5 our experience was a 5+. We definitely will be back again a fw times this year, in fact this is where we plan to stay when in Orlando. The price-point is awesome considering what you get, especially if you have a large family and can get the 3 bedroom suite. We have already begun spreading the word on this tremendous value to neighbors and friends.

Fantastic resort for all your needs. Stayed with My daughters cheer team and a number of other parents. Met all of our needs wonderfully and the girls loved the resort. They want to come back again next year. Iris in group reservations was fantastic to work with.

All in all a ver positve experience.
