A special note of thanks to Bret.

This was our second time back in as many years as well as "Trainer for the Day". Our trainer day was in the off season and Gatorland was able to book us with Bret, who had given us a great time last year. He was most informative, very hands on, which some us chose not to do, and it was certainly not rushed. The staff that we passed were friendly with a "mornin" greeting and those who were in the reptile houses preparing for the day became part of the discussion, clearly showing their enthusiasm.

The shows that are performed are very entertaining and staff is great with the children, never putting them past their comfort level, adults as well I should add.

Also they have added two nice looking panthers (beige coloured) with a viewing area where you can sit ad watch them.

Pros:
This is a nice way to spend 3-4 hours on a general admission if you just want a walk around. The shows are well timed and frequent enough to make it comfortable getting to them. Having been there early (prior to opening) all effort is made to clean and groom the property to put their best foot forward.

If you are looking for a longer stay, they do have a nice kids splash area so you could make a day of it.

Cons:
Nothing that I could see or experience. Now, we were there in January so I am unable to comment as to how it is during prime time when the gators are going to be more active and there are more people so you gauge your crowd tolerance.

Cost: yes it may be a bit expensive for a family (perhaps a family pass should considered) but having regard to what it costs to maintain animals, insurances and staffing, do try and make a day of it. The shows are free and answers to questions are no charge and just take your time .... AND bring the camera.

Very disappointed in this experience. After paying a steep admission just to enter the facility I was shocked and insulted that they charged extra for everything but air to breathe. $2/train ride, $20/photo with a tiny snake/tiny gator, the photo girl wouldn't even let me run my finger over the snake unless I paid for a photo. The Gator Jumparoo show was cheesy and lame by no fault of the gators...less 'acting' more talking about the creatures! We've been to Gator Country in Beaumont, TX several times where you learn & experience all kinds of reptiles & gators for a fraction of the admission price to Gator Land in Orlando. Very disappointed, our day would have been better spent elsewhere.

This is a great half day visit. The shows are crazy-funny Southern entertainment, and a walk around the Park is easy. Loved the leucistic gator and the snakes. As much fun as the Jumpin' Croc Australian version near Darwin

On arrival, I was a bit underwhelmed by the low tech entry area, but soon there were gators everywhere along with birds, snakes and other critters. We spent a very pleasant half day at the park roaming the 110 acres of ponds, swamps and gator habitats. Truly a fun and educational experience. Great staff who add a lot of comedy to the program but who truly respect and care for the animals. And it's the cheapest entertainment in Orlando. Highly recommended.

You have siplining, alegator feed (hot dogs), and a little train that goes around the park and shows you gators that you cant see by walking.
Gators are extremely spoiled so dont expect much when you feed them.
